Shadows of the Indigent. Assimilation². In 1963 a BBC production by the name of Doctor Who premiered and just four years later Star Trek would premiere on NBC. Little did anyone know that these two shows would continue for so long or become such a part of the cultural zeitgeist. Una McCormack: The Missing. The end of "The Fall" left the Star Trek universe in a little more hopeful place than it was when the series began. Fade In: The Writing of Star Trek Insurrection When the lights went down in the theater in 1998, we all sat there with trepidation. Harlan Ellison's City on the Edge of Forever.
