Overcoming adversity is nothing new to Dr. Kyri . Born and raised in the Red Hook Projects of Brooklyn, New York, where opportunity and vision for the future were often concealed by life’s circumstances, Dr. Kyri was determined to create a better life for herself.Dr. Kyri pursued a career in medicine, meeting the needs of her patients in the scope of infectious disease.Unexpectedly, her life changed when she was diagnosed with a rare Stage 4 Ewing Sarcoma. This menacing cancer threatened to destroy her right pelvic wall and lymph nodes. The prognosis was poor. Her treatment plan was not “normal.” To eradicate the sarcoma Dr. Kyri endured intense consistent 5-7 daychemotherapy and was infused nonstop 80-120 hours at a time. After chemotherapy she endured a Proton Radiation Therapy for 6 consecutive weeks during the height of COVID-19.  She was in the fight of her life, for her life.Dr. Kyri faced her diagnosis head-on and fought courageously against the disease. On May 22, 2020, she heard the words she longed to hear. “Dr. Kyri, you are in REMISSION.”After more than a decade, her vision of creating Organic Gourmet Kookies, with a Hug In Every Bite was made a reality.  Years of friends, clients and co-workers saying, “stop giving them away and start selling the Kookies” was the encouragement she needed. Darnell Shawn Gatling, also known as Just Gat, is an American Gospel rapper and singer. He has shared his music at various events nationwide, including youth events, outreaches, and church gatherings. Just Gat was born in Compton, California, on November 30, 1984. At nine months old, he and his two brothers were found alone in a hotel room, and he was placed in a group home at the age of four after being separated from his siblings. At the group home, Gat developed a bond with a staff member named Elise Gatling, who introduced him to Jesus Christ. Elise, a professional drummer, mentored Gat and helped him nurture his musical talent. At nine, Gat composed his first song, "Jesus the One I Love," and decided to create music for Jesus. When he was eleven, Elise officially became Gat's mother and guided him in the word of God, providing a strong foundation for his faith. Driven by his passion for Jesus, Gat became a dedicated missionary, using his music to spread the gospel. However, he faced challenges in his relationship with his mother as he grew older, leading to estrangement and rejection. This led him away from the church and towards the streets. A life-threatening situation brought him back to his faith. After serving in the Navy and getting married, Gat retired and moved to Florida. He pursued his education and earned degrees in Forensic Investigations and Crime Scene Technology before becoming a Police Officer. After three years in the force, unforeseen health issues led to his resignation, and he also went through a divorce. Gat later moved to Iowa, where he found happiness through music and his renewed faith. He married Tina Gatling, and his relationship with his mother also improved. Gat remains dedicated to his music, driven by his passion for God and his desire to share the true Gospel with others. Bertrand McKinneyBertrand "BERTY" McKinney is a Gospel Hip Hop artist, writer, producer and A/R for the We All 1 Records label as well as 1 of the hosts of Let's Talk Gospel. BERTY, which stands for Baptized Enlightened Redeemed Trusting Yahweh, was born in New Orleans, La and raised in Tylertown, Ms by his father and mother. Growing up, God was always a part of his life, and church was a common thing in their household. The village that raised BERTY helped him to learn of God, but he realized that he didn’t really know God until he progressed further into adulthood. During this journey, BERTY started to date and fall in love hard with almost every relationship he had. After one bad break up, BERTY contemplated committing suicide until his aunt, who he hadn’t spoken to in months, called him and said, “God told me to tell you that he loves you and don’t do it”. At that moment, BERTY knew that God had never left him and that he had allowed the world to sidetrack him. He decided to move forward by letting the world go and recommitting his life back to God through his music. BERTY has been rapping for over 20 years now and has appeared on Dr. Bobby Jones presents, The Impact Network, and The SOAR Awards, to name a few. His music can be perceived as inspiring testimony with songs that highlight his growing relationship with God, life lessons and motivation to keep going. BERTY has shared the stage with some of Gospels biggest talents.
