What Happens When a Career Change Doesn’t Fit?
Many of the people that we have worked with here at HTYC tend to go through several career changes on their own. They try many of the traditional job search methods, and they don’t see lasting results. Usually, they start excited about their new role, but then, at some point, start realizing that something is off. Sometimes the role or company doesn’t match your values. Sometimes the role doesn’t match your strengths. Laura Parker used to work for a global law firm for 12 years, and made a change to this technology company 2 years ago. It didn’t take long for her to realize that she needed to make another change, and that’s where she found this podcast. But I’m getting ahead of her story. We need to jump back and see why she needed to leave the law firm in the first place? Laura has gone through our Career Change Bootcamp, and, right now, we are accepting applications for the next group for CCB. Companies are still hiring and our proven career change framework still applies today, even during these unusual and uncertain times. Over the past couple weeks, we have been talking with a lot of people and answering a lot of questions specifically about the current state of affairs. So, if you want to take the first step to make your change, send me an email, [email protected], with “CCB Conversation” in the subject line. I’ll connect you with Phillip, our Director of Client Success, and he’ll help find the very best way we can help you.
