We live in a profit first culture. We can see how this is harming us.
This culture may not be our fault. It might be all we know. But it is our responsibility.
Do we have the coeur-age to look at how we contribute to this culture? Do we have the coeur-age to stand up for a safer and more just world?
Stepping into our inner authority is key.
Let's expand one another in how we can do that.

Ep. 33 - On Grief with Katt Brooks
In this episode, I have a discussion with Katt Brooks who is a holistic grief coach. Katt was able to shift my thoughts and show me my shadow in this short discussion. She has a unique perspective that I have not heard of before.
"Vengeance is a lazy form of grief" is a quote I've heard. And in this world where we keep asking ourselves: where is the love? it all comes back to dealing with our own sorrow.
This episode is for the one grieving (no matter what the grievance is) and for the one holding space for a loved one.
From our hearts to yours.

Ep. 31 - On Human Design with Sophia Woods Massicotte
Here is an episode where I get interviewed by Sophia Woods Massicotte about human design. It's a system that shows us how different we all are, from how we exchange energy differently, how our intuition feels differently to each one of us, how are brains operate optimally in different environments, etc etc. These are snippets of what would be in a human design reading.
This is a fun conversation with Sophia about something I love learning about. Enjoy!

Ep. 29 - On Suicidality with Brianne Raddatz and Will Deroode
Without looking at statistics, we know that suicidality, attempts and suicide have increased over the last few years, even for children.
Brianne, Will and I have a discussion on suicidality to break the walls of shame and isolation so many endure unnecessarily. The first part of the discussion is on resourcing yourself when feeling suicidal and the second part is on holding space for someone that is showing up feeling suicidal.
This is a non expert, non perfect episode from our hearts to yours.

Ep. 6 - MINI: Pelvic floor in pregnancy and after birth
In this episode I discuss a few misconceptions about the pelvic floor regarding kegels and muscle tone. I give a few tips to prepare you for birth and how to help healing after birth.
Not mentionned in the episode: you can use tune up balls on your perineum and beside your sits bone to soften those muscles.
Preparing ice pads with plain witch hazel can be soothing after birth. Do not freeze pads one on top of each other.
Incontinence can be caused by hypertonia. A pelvic floor therapist can help assess and treat that.
Bath herbs for infusion: garlic cloves from a whole garlic bulb, a small handful of each: uva ursi, comfrey and calendula. simmer in 2L of water for 2h. strain, divide in 2 for 2 baths. The sooner you take your bath after birth the better. Add natural salts (plain sea salt and/or plain magnesium sulfate salts).
A study looking at the results of birthing in a squat vs on your back: there is a reduction of tearing, episotomy and forcep birth in the squatting group. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/17319414/ There are many positions you can deliver in beyond on your back and squatting.

Ep. 3 - Moral injury
In this episode we dive into 2 examples that have led to my moral injury. The system, the safety net that we rely on as health care providers is inadequate and does not enable us to provide the best care.
Profit based culture and pharmaceutical based health care are outdated and harmful.

Ep.2 - Love and Kindness meditation
This is a very basic meditation taught by many teachers. This is my favourite way of practicing it.
This is a great practice for fear, for labour preparation and just a great practice to come back to anytime.
May this practice bring you back home to yourself.
May we stay empowered in our empathy.

Ep. 1 - The great resignation
So many people are worried about the great resignation in health care. We are continuing to see health care providers leave without seeing much replacement. The statistics show that more HCP are planning on leaving in the next few years. We see no plan of action to tackle this problem.
Let's talk about it.
