Today's episode discussed the two most scarce assets in life - bitcoin and time. We've never had an asset like bitcoin before. We've never had an asset whose supply cannot be increased to keep up with the demand. If you look at any other asset on earth, we have the ability to create more supply to keep up with the demand. Think of products, food, stocks, commodities, and real estate. If and when the demand increases, we have the ability to just create more supply until prices stabilize. With bitcoin you cannot do this. Bitcoin does not care how much demand there is. Bitcoin does not care how many financial firms are offering ETFs. Bitcoin does not care how many countries make it legal tender and start mining. The supply schedule is set, fixed, and known and cannot be increased to meet demand. The only thing that will change is the price that people are willing to pay for it. Our most scarce asset though, is our time. Think about how you are spending your time. We only have a small and unknown amount of time here on earth. Make sure you're spending that time doing something you love with the people you love. Today's episode discussed two very important topics within bitcoin. The first is knowing how to explain bitcoin to someone who is unfamiliar with the concept. And the second is understanding the impact that words can have on others. We should all consider coming up with our own "bitcoin elevator pitch" because it will come in handy over this next decade. We have to be prepared for this moment because it will happen and it will happen often. It's also important to understand the impact that words have on others. Be careful using words and phrases like "normies" or "orange-pilling." I believe these do more harm than good and are very counterproductive to our mission here. They should only receive instructions on how to use the private key. 2. Start educating your beneficiaries on bitcoin. They have to understand what they are holding if you want them to hold onto it for your legacy and for your family. Start looking into multi-signature wallets and a third-party collaborative custody model. Do this slowly. In time, and as we continue to divide the units of bitcoin, we might start using micro sats, or half sats... you get the idea.
