With his deep interest in land and water conservation issues, Brian began working for the Leelanau Conservancy in 1988, leading that organization as Executive Director for over 25 years. In 2018 Brian took on the job of Lake Biologist for the Lake Leelanau Lake Association and led its effort to preserve water quality in the lake and also to bring invasive Eurasian Watermilfoil under control. In 1986, Sias joined Wisconsin Gas Co., which was later acquired by Wisconsin Electric and parent company Wisconsin Energy Corp. By 2003, she had risen the ranks to become vice president of local affairs, where she worked with community leaders and local government officials to further the company’s business initiatives and lead multimillion-dollar projects.
