On this week's episode, I am sitting down with Nisa who, with 4 degrees, a business owner, and a nurse practitioner achieving it the highest level has gone through a roller coaster ride. She navigates us in her journey in nursing. We dive into her schooling and her experience in university and how family support is such a factor through out her life. She talks about the detours, life events that shaped her to be relentless in her pursuit to become a nurse practitioner. With near death experiences, she was able to adjust and overcome the challenges life threw at her. Either being placed as a charge nurse with little experience, or starting a new business entirely, Nisa shares her what she has learned. Changes are inevitable in this line of work. We hear about nursing in the hospital, but it extends outside of it. For example, there's aesthetic nursing which on this episode, I got a chance to have a conversation with Nick an aesthetic nurse who along with his wife Nisa recently had the grand opening of their clinic called Aesthetic Room Toronto (ART). Nick opens up about his journey in life first as a student, then working as an emerge nurse to a clinical coordinator. Nick offers insight and reflection on the challenges of starting a business from ground up and the decision to go all in and what this clinic means to him. We talk about botox, fat dissolving procedures, and how it helps clients improve self-esteem, confidence, and the satisfaction of seeing their clients with amazing results.
