To reach the levels of prosperity God has in store for you, you first must see yourself as being prosperous now, without the money in the bank. God gave Jesus a very specific and powerful calling while He lived on the earth. Jesus' calling sets the tone for all of our callings, but more than likely your calling will look different than Jesus' calling. Holy Spirit has given us a very specific definition of an entrepreneur. Entrepreneurs are creators whom God has called to start businesses to make profits, found good-work organizations to serve communities, or launch ministries to equip believers. One of the entrepreneurial ministry callings is that of a pastor. Traditionally, pastors have been male; however, can a woman be a pastor? God calls women in all other aspects of entrepreneurship, but the concept of a female pastor is highly contested in the body of Christ. After working on their calling, the next most pressing issue consuming the minds of many single Christian entrepreneurs is finding a spouse, an undertaking that can create depression and derail their calling. Determining the price of products and services can be especially difficult for people who have a service-based business (for example, coaches, consultants, web developers, lawyers, babysitters, etc.). This price problem is often compounded by pricing experts who teach the concept, "charge what you are worth." This is absolutely the wrong way to go about pricing, because your "worth" is priceless. God paid the blood of Jesus to redeem us from darkness, so we can't place a financial value on ourselves. Inside of your entrepreneurial calling, there is a part for God to handle and a part for you to handle. If we allow God to do His part, and we focus on our part, then stress-free success is assured. However, if we try to do God's part, success may never come, or if it does come, then it comes with stress, ruined relationships, and heartache. Praying to God has many purposes. One purpose that is often underutilized, however, is receiving instructions. This month, in Children's Church, we are starting a new series on faith. In this series, your children will learn what faith is, how do we get it, and how do we use it. In today's lesson, we begin by studying that, as believers, we should live by faith. Your children will discover that faith pleases God.

As believers, we have to remove the limits on our mind to fully receive all of the things we desire from God. One limit we need to remove is the idea that God has a priority system ranking some desires above others. The reality is that the unlimited power of God does not prioritize needs or desires. He cares as much about your desire for a new car as a starving child's desire for food. We are born into the world without knowing any limitations. As kids, we believe that we can do anything, be anything, and get anything we want. However, as we grow older, we learn limitations from negative situations and the words parents and teachers speak to us. These words have imprisoned our minds with limits, which has nullified the power of our faith to receive all the things we desire. Thus, to reverse this effect, we have to consistently renew our minds with the word of God, so our faith can be free to receive all the things God desires for us to have and to achieve on this earth. If you ask most Christians why they want success in business, they'll say something like, "to make a lot of money, so I can extend the kingdom of God." This is a noble motivation, but most Christians who say this are lying to themselves, because they believe God would not approve of their true motive. Here's the problem: when you lie to yourself about why you want success, you won't be successful. Success is built on true motives. And guess what, if your true motive is to make a lot of money to have an enjoyable life for you and your family, God is cool with that. 'Thou shall not waste money' is not a commandment anywhere in the Bible. However, as believers and seeing the way we treat money, you would think such a commandment exists. We are always trying to save a dollar, stressing over spending too much, or rationalizing why we cannot or should not afford something. Believers will often say, "If God wants me to go this way, then He will open a door of opportunity," or, "this door closed because God has something better for me." God can open and close doors of opportunity, but the state of the door (aka opportunity) doesn't indicate the will of God for your life. A major mind shift God is developing in me is using my faith to increase my finances to meet my desires rather than lowering my desires to meet my current finances. This is a critical mind renewal to grab hold of, for both you and me. If we think too small and lower our desires, then we will never achieve all God has for us nor experience and enjoy all the things God desires for us to do and have in this life. In most cases, receiving your healing requires faith plus actions. These actions are not really that difficult, but they are necessary. In today's message learn about two actions you can take in faith to receive your healing.

When we see someone achieving great success in a particular area, it's tempting to copy the way they got there. After all, if they were successful that way, why won't we be too? It does not help that the internet is full of online courses and coaching packages from gurus teaching us their blueprints to success. But here is the thing. God has given all of us a unique path to becoming successful. Following others' paths to success moves you away from the anointed way God has given you. This means, in most cases, you will crash and burn following someone else's blueprint. That's why these online success courses have very low success rates. That's their anointed way, not yours. One of the hardest mental shifts I had to make, moving from business to ministry, was asking people to sow into my ministry. I was used to asking people to buy something from me but not asking people to give. Not to mention I had seen many preachers go about it the wrong way, in my estimation, and I didn't want to be labeled as one of those guys. However, God taught me His heart on funding ministry and helped me remove my pride and fear. In today's guru culture, people are flocking to programs, masterminds, and VIP coaching packages, seeking advice on how to be successful in their entrepreneurial endeavors. Seeking advice is a wise thing to do; however, as believers, we have to be careful about the sources of advice. Counsel from unbelievers can be a dangerous business that leads you into a pit of failure.

It is very tempting to look at and admire the successes of others who have a similar calling to yours. However, this can be very dangerous. Why? Because it can cause you to compare where you are at in your calling to someone else's progress, which can make you discontent and derail your calling or, in the worst case, fill you with pride.

The vision God has given you requires many decisions that need to be made for you to accomplish it, from simple decisions like the color of your website to major decisions like where should your business or ministry be located. So, is God directing every single decision you need to make? Not really. It is more like a partnership with God than God being a dictator. He is not micromanaging every decision you need to make in your calling.
