The word God spoke to my heart for 2020 was clarity. In particular, that those of us who implement their calling in clarity would experience unprecedented levels of success. However, in the midst of 2020 a global economic shutdown has occurred, so does that mean the word for this year is wrong? No. In fact, the global crisis is acting like a purifier that is clarifying (if we allow it) our callings to the core, which will produce callings that are sweet offerings to the Lord that are positioned for acceleration. As you are implementing the calling God has given you, unfortunately bad situations will occur along your journey. However, when a bad situation happens, don't focus on why it happened, instead just ask God to fix it and keep pressing until you receive victory. Asking why is a waste of energy and time, and usually doesn't yield satisfactory answers. There is a peace in not focusing on the bad, but continually pressing toward good. I had a strong leading from God in my spirit to explore with you the question of “How do we know who is prophesying correctly?” Why? Because in times of crisis, many people rise up and declare “what thus saith the Lord is.” If you just casually glance at social media, this is not too hard to find (especially since everyone is preaching online these days). One prophet says this. Yet another says that. And what they say is contradicting. We know God is not the author of confusion, so someone is wrong. The current global crisis has caused many organizations, including churches, to pause in-person gatherings. This has caused many (if not all) local churches to move their services and ministries online during this temporary session, which has forced pastors to enter a new era of "pastoring at a distance." If God called you to do it, then a pandemic can't stop your calling. Yes, the calling may come under attack or have temporary setbacks, but it cannot be stopped. However, if what you are doing is not from God, then a pandemic or any other trials will crush your efforts. As an entrepreneur, your biggest asset is your focus. Consistent focus over a significant period of time will bring success. Titles such as manager, director, and CEO are coveted after in business and are conveyed as a form of human recognition of your efforts and success. As I was scrolling through Facebook today, I noticed how a few of my friends have these titles. And, honestly, I got a little jealous and depressed because I don't have one of those titles. Praying to God has many purposes. One purpose that is often underutilized, however, is receiving instructions. In Jesus' life, when He prayed, He was not really requesting healing for people or asking for financial miracles; He was seeking and receiving instructions. Today I am wrapping up this week's marriage series by letting Holy Spirit flow through me to share what is in God's heart for our marriages. This message had no script. As believers, we downplay our feelings and treat them like a bad guide. We do this because many of us have been taught not to trust our feelings. Unfortunately, today, NBA legend Kobe Bryant and his daughter were among five people killed in a helicopter crash in Calabasas, California. Like many others, when I heard the news, I was shocked and sadden all at the same time. In this quick message, I am sharing some reflections on this tragic event.

What holds most Christians in business back from maximal success is this nagging question in the back of their mind: Is pursuing money okay? Due to worldly and churchly pressures, we are inundated with messages that say making money is bad, from Hollywood to the Pulpit. They see the pursuit of profit in business as a necessary evil at best, and at worst they see pursuing profit as taking from society and the poor. There are very few things that the world and the church agree on, and it seems like that they both have deemed pursuing profit as bad. However, this thought process will hold you back from fulfilling what God has called you to do in business. For many believers, lack of financial stability is a hindrance to the calling God has given them. It is not a hindrance because God can't use us if we are in lack. However, in many cases, financial lack causes us to focus our time and creativity inwardly instead of outwardly. An inward-focused mind is in the wrong position to hear God for the fullness of the vision. Therefore, in the Bible, we see many times how God provides for people's personal financial needs first, and then they step into a major area of their vision. As Christians, we are conditioned to charitably give things away; therefore, many Christians who run businesses feel weird and uneasy about selling their products or services in exchange for money. This awkwardness may lead us to under price or give away too much, which can bring about frustration and eventually cause us to go out of business. To succeed in your business, you need a paradigm shift in selling. Because selling stuff for money is a blessed activity. God chooses people to do things who seem like the wrong choice to normal eyes. For example, He calls high school dropouts to start colleges, medical doctors to open art galleries, and so on.
