Christmas Creeps
Christmas Creeps is your one stop shop for holiday madness all year round. Join hosts Joseph Wade, Johnny-5 and Mr. Bradford twice a month as they destroy holiday movies and TV shows in search of the true meaning of Christmas.
Episode 48: White Christmas
On this week's episode, the Creeps tackle one of the holidays' most ubiquitous movies, the Bing Crosby/Danny Kaye musical White Christmas. Along the way, we also go down rabbit holes related to Power Rangers, Jonathan's knowledge of America's train system, and the wackadoo madness Brad dreams about when he eats smoked salmon. And somewhere in all that, we actually discuss this 1954 classic. All in a day's work around these parts! Questions/Comments? Episode 47: A Garfield Christmas
HEEEEEY KIIIIIIDS! Pull out the lasagna and backscratchers, cuz this week's episode is all about the Garfield Christmas special! In this episode, we break down what's wrong with the Arbuckle clan, reminisce about our favorite Erik Estrada shows, Joe is diagnosed with a serious disorder, and we even see what happens when you remove Garfield from the equation entirely! Stocking Stuffer #4: Alf's Special Christmas (Part 2)
Welcome back for the *thrilling* conclusion to Alf's Special Christmas. In this episode, Dr. Shumway delivers a baby, Alf Claus pulls both a Woody AND a Clarence, and Joe and Bradford find themselves baffled at a modern spin on the same puppety material. With so much maudlin promise in the first half of this special, is it any wonder that part 2 doesn't particularly stick the landing? Questions/Comments? Stocking Stuffer #3: Alf's Special Christmas
This week, Joe and Bradford tackle part one of Alf's Special Christmas, a two-part holiday special filmed on location at the gates of Hell. In learning about the themes and traditions of Christmas, puppet space alien Alf explains a hundred ways to cook a cat, discovers how to relate to dying children, and also teaches us the warning signs of suicidal behavior. It only gets worse before it gets better, so come on in! Questions/Comments? Email us at [email protected] us @ChristmasCreepsVisit us on the web at ChristmasCreeps.com! Episode 46: Wild Card
This week we took a random shot in the dark with Wild Card, a movie that looked like it might have been Christmas-related. Instead, we got a movie about Jason Statham beating up Las Vegas gangsters and playing a buttload of blackjack. Is there an important holiday message hidden inside? Does the glitz and glamour of Sin City warm Milo Ventimiglia's icy gangster heart? Or is it all just an excuse to have Statham beat dudes senseless to the soothing sounds of "White Christmas"? Stocking Stuffer #2: Ed Edd'n Eddy
On this edition of Stocking Stuffers, Joe and Bradford dip into the madcap holiday antics of Ed Edd'n Eddy in their first holiday special: "Jingle Jingle Jangle". How hard is it to be selfless at Christmas? Why are everyone's own holiday customs so weird? How many Yuletide puns can one cartoon reasonably stand? Listen in and find out! Questions/Comments? Happy Redboxing Day, gang! It's that magical time of year when all of last year's Christmas movies are now popping up in your local DVD dispensers! This week, we stall for as long as we can to keep from discussing the bleak comedy wasteland that is Bad Santa 2. Why bring back Bad Santa now? Who asked for a man-sized Thurman Merman? How does Willie keep getting laid? Find out in this week's episode! Questions/Comments? Email us at [email protected] us @ChristmasCreepsVisit us on the web at ChristmasCreeps.com! Episode 44: The Ref
Gather around the dining table, friends! This week, guest Drew Meyer joins us to have a surprisingly level-headed conversation about the 1994 Denis Leary/Kevin Spacey comedy The Ref. What was meant to be a shorter episode spins out of control as we keep finding little details that demand to be discussed. From the screenwriting craft to the mid-90s suburban malaise, The Ref is full of fun little cinematic surprises. Questions/Comments? Episode 43: A Cosmic Christmas
Crappy New Year, everybody! We're kicking off 2017 with a desperate plea to the heavens to save us from this garbage planet. Instead, the heavens delivered A Cosmic Christmas, a Canadian holiday special from 1977 about aliens seeking the true meaning of Christmas. Merry Christmas, dear listeners! This year, we splurged and got you a jumbo-sized episode about everyone's favorite Tim Allen Christmas movie! Bradford joins us once again to pick apart the kid-friendly irony-laden body horror of The Santa Clause! Also, we open the floor to listener questions and take a look back over our podcast year. Episode 41: Holiday Light Spectacular!
We’re doing something a little bit different this week. Instead of ripping apart one Christmas movie, we hopped into the old front-wheel drive sleigh and rode around town ogling Christmas lights, discussing traditional holiday pageants, and cracking wise about the Elf on the Shelf. In the show’s second half, we preview some of the shenanigans we have planned for next year! Questions/Comments? Episode 40: Christmas Vacation 2
Happy Thanksgiving, gang! We asked our Twitter followers to vote on what we should watch next. After a behind-the-scenes tiebreaker, democracy has spoken. The winner? National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation 2: Cousin Eddie's Island Adventure. The losers? All three of us. How dumb do you have to be to lose a job to a chimp? Why does mid-30s Audrey Griswold still act like a emotionally stunted teen? How old is too old to be listening to 311? The answers to these questions and more in this week's episode! Episode 39: Christmas Vacation
Election 2016 is all wrapped up, and this week our hosts seek solace in the sweet nectar of holiday beers. Also, we're discussing everyone's favorite holiday classic: National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. The results of last episode's listener poll are still very much pending, so don't think we've thrown that out just yet. Think of this as an emergency episode in a time of crisis. Anyway, this week we discuss the election, the sad backstory of Cousin Eddie, and Christmas Creep at Walt Disney World! Questions/Comments? Episode 37: How the Grinch Stole Christmas
Welcome back, Creepazoids! It's October now, and our old buddy Bradford returns to help us ring in the Horrordays! This week, we're discussing Ron Howard's 2000 fever dream of a live-action Grinch film starring Jim Carrey! Also, Joe shares a recent tale of body horror, the gang reels in terror at the Grinch's secret origin story, and Johnny-5 tries his hardest to break Bradford with the power of Benedict Cumberbatch. We love all holidays equally here at Christmas Creeps, which is why this week we're discussing Holidays, a brand new horror anthology film featuring tales from eight of the biggest holidays on the calendar. Episode 33: Unaccompanied Minors
With Paul Feig's Ghostbusters in theaters now, we take a look back at Feig's 2006 holiday film Unaccompanied Minors, featuring the return of Bad Santa's Thurman Murman! Okay, so he's not actually the same character, but we like to think he is. It's more fun that way. Disclaimer: It's so hot out right now that our computer melted down halfway through recording. We still get in plenty of goofy tangents about Star Wars and junk, but we just wanna be upfront with you fine folks! Questions/Comments? Episode 32: A Christmas Story 2
You can tell when a movie really sets us all on edge, because we wind up swearing a whole lot more than usual. That's the effect of A Christmas Story 2, a decades-later sequel solely designed to cash in on a holiday favorite. Does Ralphie's mission to get a new car for Christmas have anything on his Red Ryder carbine action range model air rifle? How weird is it to cast Marv from Home Alone as the Old Man? Does Randy live in his own personal time vortex? The answers to these questions and more on this episode of Christmas Creeps! Questions/Comments? Episode 31: Die Hard 2
This week we're celebrating Johnny-5's birthday with another trip through a Die Hard movie! Only problem is it's Die Hard 2, and if you've seen Die Hard 2, you know what a rough, boring, gunfight-filled ride we're in for. What makes a Die Hard movie? Does setting a movie at Christmas automatically count it as a Christmas movie? Is this the movie that drove Renny Harlin off the deep end? Tune in for the answers to these questions and more! So head on down to your local Redbox, check out Krampus and come on back for our discussion of the movie's comedy/horror dynamic. several holiday-themed films from screenwriter Shane Black. Will
holiday depression get the best of Mel Gibson's Martin Riggs?

tropes can one movie possibly start? Does Lethal
Weapon have anything at all to do with The Karate
Kid? Tune in to find out!

Last episode we called our shot and said we'd discuss The Night Before, and this week we finally make good on our promise. Three best friends find themselves growing older and growing apart while embarking on one last holiday bar crawl. Secrets are revealed, grievances are aired, and allllllll the drugs are taken. This week we decided to celebrate St. Patrick's Day by watching the greenest thing we could find: From 1994, it's "We Wish You a Turtle Christmas", a live-action direct-to-video Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Christmas special! And because we'd rather be talking about literally anything else, we also discuss the existential crisis of Master Splinter, nitpick the differences between the various Ghostbusters movie trailers, and Karyn pitches a movie about Joe going back to school as an undercover teenager.

Episode 26: Love the Coopers
This week on the podcast, we discuss the family Christmas movie Love The Coopers. Through the ridiculous power of marketing, Redbox tried to convince us this was a Valentine's Day movie. We may be a bunch of dummies, but we're not that dumb. I mean... We rented, watched, and did an episode about it, but we're not thaaaat dumb. Episode 25: The Munsters' Scary Little Christmas
Happy February, gang! This week we popped our heads out of our podcast bunker and didn’t see our shadow, which as you know means go back four spaces and do Halloween all over again. In 1996, Universal scraped together a little bit of cash, rewrote A Charlie Brown Christmas and crapped out The Munsters’ Scary Little Christmas for broadcast television. In this episode, not only do we improbably land on one of the ultimate truths of Christmas, but also discover how to solve global warming the Final Fantasy way!

So since we covered Die Hard six months ago, this week we discuss Rickman's other modern holiday classic: Love Actually. Merry Christmas, friends! This week we're taking a break from watching and yelling about holiday movies so that we can kick up our feet, have a few drinks, and play some holiday games. It's December, which means it's time to take a break from Christmas movies. Instead, we're celebrating July at Christmas, and what better expression of July than Roland Emmerich's 1996 action epic Independence Day! Also, fun fact: We recorded this episode literally the day before the trailer for the sequel dropped. Fortuitous timing, but that means we couldn't break it down in all sorts of stupid ways. C'est la vie.
