Weird Science with The Ranch Fairy - Troy Fowler

Bowhunter Chronicles Podcast Episode 90: Weird Science with The Ranch Fairy - Troy Fowler  This week Adam and John talk with the self proclaimed Ranch Fairy, Troy Fowler.  Troy is a passionate hunter who has unlimited access a large family ranch in Texas that is an environment rich with target opportunities.  Troy was getting frustrated with low success rates on bow shots on particularly large hogs, so what did he do?  He decided to change things, he read Dr. Ed Ashby’s book and drank the whole gallon of kool aid. Now that Troy has seen the benefits of using heavy arrows with 20% or greater weight up front, with extremely sharp, preferably single bevel broadheads  he created a Youtube channel to spread the message.  His goal is to at bare minimum peak your interest and entertain you and he does a hell of a job at both.  We talk through the ideas of why it works and why other setups have a higher rate of failures as well as how you can build your setup at home on any budget.   www.tiogarise.com xopoutdoors.com Save 10% off a  Vanish tree stand  Gearak: Save 25% with Code CHRONICLES Bowhunter Box Club: Use code CHRONICLES to save 10%   Cervicide: 10% off with code Chronicles  If you like what we are doing and want to see more, please consider checking out our Patreon account.  Any funds generated through our Patreon account are funneled right back into the podcast to help fund equipment, hosting fees and gear for reviews and giveaways and as always future hunts.  http://bit.ly/BHCPatreon   http://bit.ly/BowhunterChroniclesPodcast music by Bensound.com           Learn more about your ad choices. The Mind of a Killer - Joe Rentmeester

Bowhunter Chronicles Podcast Episode 83: The Mind of a Killer - Joe Rentmeester  This week Adam talks with two time Public Land Challenge Champion and Hunting Beast team member Joe Rentmeester.  Joe is one of those unsung guys who continues to kill big bucks no matter where he is, and no mater what adversity he faces.  The past two years in the company of incredible hunters who traveled out of state to places that they had never set foot on prior to the hunt, Joe was able to locate and kill a mature whitetail no matter the circumstances. This year in his home state of Wisconsin Joe spooked the buck he would end up killing the next day, and rather than pout and throw in the towel he adjusted to prior knowledge and went in an shot that buck in his bed.  In Michigan despite pouring rain and flooded lands, he was able to, on the same day that  a group of hunters walked right under his tree, get down, make a move and harvest a mature Michigan whitetail.  Joe walks us through these hunts and what kept him going and what his thought processes were in situations where a lot of guys would have given up. www.tiogarise.com xopoutdoors.com Save 10% off a  Vanish tree stand  Gearak: Save 25% with Code CHRONICLES Bowhunter Box Club: Use code CHRONICLES to save 10%   Cervicide: 10% off with code Chronicles  If you like what we are doing and want to see more, please consider checking out our Patreon account.
