Active Recovery

Big workout yesterday, getting that good elastic stimulus while I don't have a court to dunk on. Leaving tomorrow and looking forward to getting back into my routine! On days after you work hard, I find it very important to move my body a little. I definitely need to get blood flowing and keep everything moving in full range of motion. Stay active, keep learning about your body so you can create the proper stimulus and not overdo it. ENJOY YOUR DAY!

Applying Awareness

After raising your awareness its time to put it to use! I've been getting in the best shape of my life and I can credit it all to my awareness. Every movement, every bite of food, i'm thinking of how I feel immediately and also taking note of how I feel as the day goes on. The best training advice I can give is listening to your body and starting to learn how to read your reactions to stimuli. Keep working, keep learning and anything is possible!! It takes time, patience and consistent focus! (mild psychosis) LET'S GO!! Have a great frigin Tuesday!

We build up these barriers that we are conditioned to living in. The second we step outside these lines or something disrupts them we feel stressed and anxious. Practice trying to remove or widen these barriers to open up your life to many more experiences. To me, as I keep removing these barriers there's less and less that can disrupt my inner peace. Detach To Achieve Results

Being able to detach from the outcome of your goals has two benefits. 1. You're free to flow along any path that will get you there and 2. You're not attached to any specific outcome, just the essence of it. Meaning if you want to be a big YouTuber/Podcaster, maybe you don't make it big but you are able to inspire and motivate on a large scale in a totally different medium. As soon as you're able to understand things yourself instead of just being told what to do you unlock your potential. Don't rely on people for answers go out and learn and you will grow so much more. It takes time!! You must take a step back to make progress in this area. You have to completely pause your goals so you can give your tendons time to heal. Then only isometrics with a lot of patience, listening to your body and assessing pain scale every 48 hours. Slowly build up to body squats, then weighted squats then baby jumps all VERY GRADUALLY! I started watching Black Holes on Netflix last night and now I understand gravity is a fabric.....I don't get either but I love nothing more than being freaked out by space. That will never leave my mind and I find it incredibly beneficial for mindfulness. It keeps me grounded...that's not the right word. Got a much needed 13 hour sleep and feeling much better. Sleep is definitely my number one priority, then nutrition, then movement. I'm still a little loopy from this past week but feeling great! Another Surreal Experience

These past few days I was at the 2nd ever Dunk Camp in Utah and it reminded me just how amazing life can be. I got to feel so much energy with so many people who are passionate about pushing themselves to achieve their goals. I got to meet the one and only TDub which absolutely blew my mind! Feels good to be getting back into my routine, but I also can't wait to see where life takes me next. Keep working, keep building bits and pieces and keep increasing the frequency and intensity of life's experiences!

Keep working, remembering every baby step is towards greatness! It's hard to see it now, it's hard to feel it now but when that day comes where all these little pieces of the puzzle come together it feels amazing! Take Responsibility, Make the Hard Choice

You are always choosing. Another chapter from "The Subtle Art of Not Giving a Fuck" that inspired me to make the most out of every situation. Even something horrible that's not your fault, you now can take responsibility for every choice moving forward. Fault is past tense, while responsibility is present tense. Take notice about the times you blame others or seek revenge. Raise your awareness by understanding those are choices and take responsibility for them. Ultimately, making different, new choices may mean changing your values which can be super uncomfortable. It can disrupt everything you've built thus far.....but it's worth it! To me, the hard decision is well worth the free, happy, passionate life!!

Self Awareness is like an onion with layers you have to peel back. The more you peel back the deeper you go and the more you cry as described by Mark Manson in his book "The Subtle Art of Not Giving a Fuck". First, you need to understand what emotions you are feeling and get in touch with them. Once you understand WHAT you're feeling you can ask yourself WHY you're feeling that way. The deeper layer is now understanding if that WHY is even worth it. Is your WHY aligned with your core values? These questions can be the hardest to deal with but build the most self awareness. Peel back your own onion so you can live the life that fits YOU best.

TODAY! Even if you can SEE the top of the mountain you might need to be on another path to actually get there! Maybe you're cool with how high you've climbed but I want to get to the top! Even if that means I have to start over, start a new path, I want to get to the TOP! Keep thinking about what you want and where you want to go. Don't limit yourself, raise your awareness and learn. Yes you want to achieve something great but are you willing to go through what it takes to get there? Started reading "The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck" and he explains how we should pick our goals by their struggles. Which struggle would we enjoy most? Is it worth it? I believe you're going to have to enjoy the process if you're going to achieve your biggest goals. If you don't start to enjoy the pain of the process, you're probably attacking the wrong goal.

Set yourself FREE! Why let simple insecurities hold you back when all you have to do is OWN IT! Gary Vaynerchuk said "Own it... and you own it" and I think thats a great way to sum it up.
