Is my job secure? Will I ever get married? Are my children safe? Our lives are often a chronicle of trouble, pain, and uncertainty--and God's children yearn for peace. Drawing on that perspective-shifting model, Jonny offers biblical insight on how to ground our thoughts and fix our gaze on who God is.Compassionate, biblical, and timely, Consider the Lilies explores:How dwelling on the character of God is the surest pathway to peaceThe root causes of anxiety and worry in the BibleWhat the Bible says about the integration of our physical and spiritual livesWhy worry grieves God's heart as our FatherConsider the Lilies is for those who long for liberation from their anxiety and fear--and desire to deeply know the God they are called and enabled to trust. Left Out: Believing My Story is for God's Glory, by Jill Atogwe

Left Out: Believing My Story is for God's Glory, by Jill Atogwe

Today, Roberta talks to  Jill Atogwe about her new book Left Out: Believing My Story is for God's Glory, available from B&H Kids publishers.Have you ever wondered if, when God was creating you, He left something out? As kids grow up and start comparing themselves to one another, feelings of inadequacy creep into their hearts.Did God forget to make me as tall as everyone else? Why didn't God make me able to eat the food those kids can eat?I wonder if God left out my ability to sing like the rest of my family. Why didn't God give me straight hair? Pretty skin? Name-brand clothes?Left Out is a rhyming reminder that while God didn't give everyone the same bodies or abilities, everything God left out is something He can use to write our stories for His glory. First-time author Jill Atogwe compels kids to believe that God uses what we see as our weaknesses to make us strong. By leaving some things out, we can learn to trust Him instead of ourselves. After all, God sets boundaries for his children in pleasant places (Psalm 16:5–8). The cute and quirky illustrations show an array of kids of diverse races, varying cultures, different abilities and disabilities, distinct talents, and various socioeconomic statuses. As kids read and look through the pictures, they'll see that every child wonders if God accidentally left something out of them. But God doesn’t accidentally do anything; He intentionally created each person differently for His special purpose. By the end of the book, kids will be repeating the book's chorus, “What God left out is part of my story; It's all for my good and all for His glory!”Brought to you by Roberta Foster, KNEO Radio and the Sky High Podcast Network.

The Redemption Corridor, by Daniel Wright

The Redemption Corridor, by Daniel Wright

Today, Roberta talks to Daniel Wright about his new book The Redemption Corridor: Understanding Sacred Topography in the Holy Land, the Pattern of YHVH, and the Way of the Messiah.Centered in Israel’s biblical heartland, lies a narrow strip of terrain, which I believe is a chosen region, above all others on the earth. I call it The Redemption Corridor. This unique swath of land was exclusively selected by YHVH (the God of Israel) for His own sovereign work of both implementing and commemorating the redemption of humanity. Within this terrestrial rectangle, an astonishing list of familiar, biblical events (and especially their geographic locations) all appear to have been arranged in an obvious east-to-west, somewhat linear, orientation. In this book, I will explain the who, what, and where of these amazing events straight from the text of the Bible. I will further elucidate my findings and speculations using extra-biblical writings, historical sources, archaeological data, and toponymy. I am convinced the origin, function, and purpose of the Redemption Corridor is older than the earth itself, from eternity past. I believe that in our shared future, this remarkable strip of land will absolutely play the central role in YHVH’s global consummation of this terrestrial planet into Divine Holiness—the Geulah (or Redemption) foretold by the prophets (and sages) of Israel.Brought to you by Roberta Foster, KNEO Radio and the Sky High Podcast Network.

Today, Roberta talks to Michael Svigel about his new book The Fathers on the Future: A 2nd-Century Eschatology for the 21st-Century Church, available from Hendrickson Academic publishers. Many today with an interest in eschatology face a problem: They have forgotten the past. Incorporating the basic foundation and structure of the second-century premillennial, futurist eschatology of Irenaeus of Lyons and other church fathers, this book develops and defends their positions through a thorough exegetical, theological analysis. It makes a case for a contemporary Irenaean premillennial eschatology, arguing that it is a reliable framework for a biblically defensible, theologically balanced, and historically informed eschatology. The Fathers on the Future begins with the belief that Irenaeus and other early church fathers represented a widespread and well-developed eschatology inherited from those who were close associates of the apostles. It then explores some of features of that early eschatology, clarifying obscure points, strengthening some elements, and correcting a few missteps. By looking back to Irenaeus and the eschatological emphases of his age, this book provides a new approach to eschatology today―new to contemporary readers but ancient in its original perspective.Brought to you by Roberta Foster, KNEO Radio and the Sky High Podcast Network.

The 1916 Project, by Seth Gruber

The 1916 Project, by Seth Gruber

Today, Roberta talks to Seth Gruber about his new book The 1916 Project: The Lyin', The Witch and the War We're In, available from Vindex Media.Do you look around at our country, our culture, and wonder: "HOW DID WE GET HERE?" The 1916 Project unearths the how and why of our "progressive" culture shift. In 1916, the founder of Planned Parenthood opened her first clinic that launched America into a moral revolution that would have far-reaching consequences worldwide. Seth traces a direct path from Planned Parenthood to the Nazis to the current Democratic Party. Along the way, he makes stops in unexpected places, like the offices of Playboy magazine, the Wuhan Institute of Virology, and an ancient altar dedicated to the god Molech. The connections will shock you-perhaps even anger you-but you will not be the same after learning the truth. And if you've ever struggled to articulate your pro-life convictions against the onslaught of woke propaganda, this book will help you shatter every liberal lie you've ever been told. Fair warning: once you understand what's really happening, there's no turning back. Brought to you by Roberta Foster, KNEO Radio and the Sky High Podcast Network.

Life-Minded, by Brady Boyd

Today, Roberta talks to Brady Boyd about his new book Life-Minded: 8 Practices for Belonging to God and Each Other, available from Our Daily Bread publishers. The Christian church does not have a great track record of unity. Yet, God has called us to belong to Him and to each other.Church is supposed to be a place for meaningful connection—a community that worships, prays, and participates together with the singular purpose of glorifying God. But sometimes that unity is fragile. As brothers and sisters in Christ, we want to love each other well, but problems inevitably creep in, causing divisions. The apostle Paul reminded the church to “make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace” (Ephesians 4:3).Life-Minded draws our attention to the reality of that text: it does take effort to stay unified with our spiritual family! Saying it like it is, but saying it with grace, Pastor Brady Boyd echoes Paul's words in a contemporary context with 8 practical challenges to put peaceable unity into action. Accept the challenges by yourself or with others in a group, and experience the harmony God intended for His eternal church.Brought to you by Roberta Foster, KNEO Radio and the Sky High Podcast Network.

Why Me, Lord? by Wally Long

Today, Roberta talks to Wally Long about his new book Why Me, Lord?: Biblical and Practical Answers For Suffering in Our Lives. After experiencing a host of family tragedies, author Wally Long found himself asking: “Why me, Lord? Why have you allowed all of this tragedy to take place in my family?” He searched the scriptures for answers, and God gave him a sermon. It was a sermon he needed. It was a sermon born of deep grief and suffering. That sermon serves as the foundation for this book, Why Me, Lord?, Wally prays the lessons he learned through his tragedies will be a blessing.  Neither a Bible study nor how-to book, he offers a host of Biblical principles meant to encourage you while you’re going through difficult times and trials in your life. In Why Me, Lord?, Wally presents general thoughts about trials, afflictions, and suffering; addresses what causes suffering; and discusses the purpose of suffering.  He shares the message that regardless of the cause of your challenges, God can and will use your suffering, giving you a purpose to it. He’ll use your sufferings to show himself strong in you, strengthen you, purify you, steer you back on course, reveal your character, accomplish his plans, and prepare you for his glory.Brought to you by Roberta Foster, KNEO Radio and the Sky High Podcast Network.

As children, many of us are burdened with labels such as "shy," "quiet," "awkward," or simply "different." These descriptors, casually assigned by others or even self-imposed, confine us to the sidelines, rendering our voices faint and our presence unnoticed. But within the depths of our being lies a multitude of stories to be shared, perspectives to be offered, and reflections to be pondered.  The Wallflower that Bloomed challenges societal norms that pigeonhole individuals into these predetermined roles of invisibility. With heartfelt sincerity, Cally Logan urges us to strip away the stigma associated with being an outsider, to cease judging those who prefer solitude, and, most importantly, to learn to truly see others for who they authentically are. Moreover, this captivating exploration compels us to reflect upon our own journey towards self-acceptance and self-love.  Instead of resigning ourselves to a life of isolation and judgment, we are invited to embrace the notion that we can stand proudly in our uniqueness, fully blooming into the remarkable beings we were always meant to be.  What if we shattered the preconceived notions and misconceptions that surround individuals labeled as "wallflowers"?  What if we focused on truly knowing, accepting, and appreciating one another for the awe-inspiring qualities that set us apart?  And what if, in the process, we also learned to extend this grace and understanding to ourselves?  The Wallflower that Bloomed sparks an introspective journey, inviting readers to break free from the confines of societal expectations and embrace their inherent worth. With Cally Logan as our compassionate guide, we are encouraged to unleash the dormant potential within us, stepping into the fullness of our being and embracing the brilliance that lies within. Prepare to be inspired, challenged, and transformed as you immerse yourself in The Wallflower that Bloomed. Brought to you by Roberta Foster, KNEO Radio and the Sky High Podcast Network.
