Ep.23: Danny Tavori: Artist, Performer and Creator - “An artist’s career can become a piece of art” (Video)
Danny Tavori is an emerging artist who transforms industrial spaces into venues for site-specific performances and installations.
His embodiment of aerial straps, hair suspension, and juggling, led him to developed a unique approach to dance, rigging and stage design, movement sensors, and furniture
His journey is nonlinear — beginning with his background in mathematics and activism, he dedicated himself to circus at 23. Paving through street shows and random gigs, simultaneously studying at FLIC, DOCH, and Le Lido, he began producing and directing his own work.
After working under Cirque Plume’s director Bernard Kudlak, Danny moved from Israel to France, where he established his company and launched his site specific project AMOW, while he continues to direct a formation for new contemporary circus shows in Jerusalem.

Ep.14: Andrew Harmon: Writer & Creative Director - “Stories reveal who we are” (Audio)
Andrew is a New York based writer/director and the long-time creative director for The Thorn. Now a nationally touring production, The Thorn takes traditional theater, circus performance, concert-style sound and lighting design and blends them with a direct story of faith and redemption.
While starting as a small, resident show in Colorado over 25 years ago, this performance has continued to evolve across the decades—at one point including live tigers and at another pioneering a touring model that featured a brand new cast every week. After a filmed version of The Thorn was released in movie theaters in 2023, the show took on its current evolution, touring to over 50 cities in just under 2 years—all the while selling out some of the largest performing arts centers in the US.
As a storyteller Andrew is particularly concerned with how the stories we tell each other both reflect and shape how we feel about our own existence. His own writing, such as his debut short film Cardboard Dreams, reflexively seems to hover around this idea.
To this end, also hosts the podcast The Meaning of Movie alongside fellow director and friend, Rob Stennett.

Episode 212: Creating Aerial and Physical Theatre with Daniela Essart (Audio)
Daniela Essart is the co-founder and artistic director of Scarabeus Aerial Theatre since 1988 and has created visually arresting and transformative performances, side by side to stage to screen films. Scarabeus work merges aerial skills with visual theatre and choreographed movement. We conjure into existence thought provoking productions dealing with contemporary narratives, aimed at awakening empathy and ethical consciousness in a wide range of audiences and viewers.
Daniela believes in the transformative power of the arts, in creating experiences that endure in the collective imagination and promote a sense of belonging. Fearless about experimentation, she regularly collaborates with a wide range of established and up and coming artists, filmmakers and scientists from different fields.
