221: The Future Unveiled: Ron Paul Shares His Global Predictions
Today’s guest is Congressman Dr. Ron Paul. Author, activist, physician and retired politician.
Dr. Paul has had an incredible career, beginning in the 1960s as an OBYN into the 1980s, delivering somewhere around 4,000 babies in rural south Texas.
During the 1970s, he founded the Ron Paul Institute For Peace And Prosperity and, in 1976, began his career as a politician. He was the Libertarian Party nominee in 1988 and a candidate for the Republican Party in 2008 and 2012.
In 2015 the former 12-term US Congressman from Texas launched the Liberty Report to discuss his provocative opinion and to analyze breaking issues affecting our lives and finances, and it is still going strong today.
He is the author of END THE FED, THE REVOLUTION and more.
MY CONVERSATION WITH DR. RON PAUL
I ask Dr. Paul how he feels about the lack of freedom we’ve had over the past 2 and a half years; how did we get here?
I’m Canadian. What does Dr. Paul make of what has happened in Canada over the last year with the trucker convoy and the government freezing bank accounts?
We talk in-depth about his outlook for the future. Does humanity stand a chance?
How can people all over the world protect themselves from what is happening?
What is his advice for those seeking more freedom and liberty in their lives?
CONCLUSION
I thoroughly enjoyed speaking with Congressman Paul. I truly look up to this man, and I know you’ll love the conversation as much as I did.Mentioned in this episode:Veritas Panama - Offgrid CommunityAfter 17 months of bureaucracy, my partners and I successfully got our permits for Veritas Panama! 220: Marc Faber – Buying Asian Investments & Currencies On The Cheap
Today’s guest on the Expat Money Show is Marc Faber, Editor and Publisher of the ‘’Gloom, Boom & Doom Report.’’
Born in Zurich, Switzerland, he studied Economics at the University of Zurich and, at the age of 24, obtained a Ph.D. in Economics magna cum laude.
In 1990, he set up his business, publishing a widely read monthly investment newsletter, “THE GLOOM, BOOM & DOOM” report highlighting unusual investment opportunities.
He is also the author of several books, including “TOMORROW’S GOLD – Asia’s Age of Discovery”
TODAY’S CONVERSATION WITH MARC FABER
Listen in to today's conversation I have with Marc Faber about the possibility of war between China and Taiwan. What are his predictions, and what are they willing to do regarding money and war?
Do the Taiwanese people want conflict? Or is it that the US likes to provoke conflict?
Where do you hold your assets? Marc shares his basic allocation and the percentage for each.
Is holding cash a good idea? And if so, what currency is worth holding?
Why is it vitally important to hold your gold in the country you live in and not in another country?
Online brokerage accounts. Are they a good idea? How safe are they?
An important question to ask yourself: How will I lose the least in an environment where things are bad? Marc explains all.
A serious risk that the governments will impose some sort of wealth taxation. In an emergency decree, a government can do anything; look at what Trudeau did during the trucker strike.
We discuss Qatar and the UAE and their monarchies, as opposed to the corruption with Canada’s Trudeau and the fact that democracies have the very worst people at the top.
I asked Marc, what countries would you diversify in?
If you are holding US cash, what other fiat should we look at? And what does he believe the top 3 currencies are?

218: Powering the Future: Nick Giambruno on Energy and Bitcoin
Nick Giambruno is a renowned speculator and international investor. He's the Founder of The Financial Underground and Editor in Chief of its premium investment research publication, Contra Speculator.
Nick travels the world searching for lucrative investment opportunities in overlooked markets and is known for spotting geopolitical and economic trends early.
TODAY'S CONVERSATION WITH NICK GIAMBRUNO
Nick and I dig into early Bitcoin adoption and what China and Russia would look like if they adopted Bitcoin.
Argentina and Venezuela, both energy-producing countries, might be great candidates as well to adopt Bitcoin and lead the world in Bitcoin mining, but what would that look like?
Understanding the Petrodollar, the relations between the Saudis and the Americans, and knowing the fundamentals here.
A fascinating conversation regarding governments using Bitcoin to trade things like oil and other commodities like grains and such, all in Bitcoin.
Are there good investments or speculations in the Middle East that are worthwhile?
Nick and I discuss the big picture situation geopolitically, economically, and how very important it is concerning the Middle East.
Nick shares his research on Bitcoin mining companies, and we learn about these companies and what the difference is between investing in them as opposed to investing in Bitcoin directly.
If you’re a beginner in buying and selling Bitcoin, Nick explains his favourite wallet and what you need to do to hold your bitcoin safely.
Learn when the best time to buy Bitcoin is, how you can know what point in the cycle you are and how long you should hold on to it to ensure you make a good return on your investment.

217: Guarding Your Digital Footprint: Privacy Tips from Terry Tillaart
Terry Tillaart is a proponent of private, decentralized, sound money, a crypto enthusiast, a privacy advocate and a regular speaker at international freedom conferences.
MY DISCUSSION WITH TERRY TILLAART
Today’s conversation with Terry Tillaart focuses on how we should be looking at ways to seek absolute freedom in our lives.
Why is freedom important? Why should we be looking at getting away from the control of organizations that don’t have our best interests at heart, even though they claim they are doing it for our sake?
Concepts that we must absolutely stop doing now, right now, and why this is vital to our future, your family's future.
How do we support projects that support freedom and businesses that move us closer to our main objectives of a parallel society?
If you believe that the last 3 years has been orchestrated by groups worldwide that don’t have your best interest at heart, then this is the episode for you.
We dig deeper into which crypto is for the people, which ones are pro-freedom, and which ones can’t be controlled.
What you absolutely must know to be able to survive what is coming for the future of our world.
Terry shares his favourite privacy coins and why he thinks these are a much better option.
I talked with Terry about how things could have turned out differently if people who donated to the Trucker Convoy had used a privacy coin and how they wouldn’t have had their accounts frozen, not had their assets seized and would not be on some kind of watch list.

We have mature fruit trees on site, including these gorgeous 200-year-old mango trees and many other things, such as avocado trees, papayas, and delicious tropical fruits.

He advises for Pronomos, a VC fund that invests in new city projects and co-founded the Startup Societies Network, a charter cities think tank. He frequently writes about SEZs, economic history, and the open data movement.
TODAY'S CONVERSATION WITH THIBAULT
If you are a business owner looking for more freedom living as an expat, this episode is for you. Thibault shares with us his biggest reasons and strategies for setting up your company in a special economic zone.
Is your company facing regulatory problems? I believe you can find a solution, no matter your industry, so keep listening.
Exactly what is a special economic zone, and why do governments create them?
Where is the very best place to look for the best special economic zone for your company?
Interesting facts about when the first special economic zone was created; no, it wasn’t the Shenzhen Zone. Listen to hear the fascinating history behind this concept.
You’ll be amazed at how these special economic zones work, what they can and can’t do inside their area, and how many there are throughout the world.
The next question is why? Why would you open an SEZ anywhere in the world? After listening to this episode, your next company may be in an SEZ.
If an SEZ sounds like a good idea for you and your company, how do you pick the right one? If there are thousands of them worldwide, which one is right for you? Thibault shares his theory on this!
Wondering what business best suits using an SEZ? I talk to Thibault about this exact thing.

Being purposeful about geography, culture and religion, finding your hotspot. I’m super excited about this for my own children; listen in, especially if you have kids or are planning on having a family.
In your business and travel experiences, do you focus on lowering your cost of living? Or focus on raising the top end; how much money you can spend on things? Which do you relate to?? It’s such an interesting concept.
I give away some really top ideas on how to perform better, be more successful and be considerably happier, even though I work like crazy! Don’t miss this part!
What can your life look like when you stop hoarding every dollar you make? Being open and free and abundant with it. Especially when you live in a country with a lower cost of living.
If you want to be a digital nomad, if you want to be an expat, if you want to travel and live overseas and explore all these places, then do it now. Make sure to listen to this entire episode. If my chat with Kristin doesn’t move the needle, I’m not sure what will.

202: The Startup City Concept: Francisco Litvay’s Insights
Francisco Litvay is the Co-founder of Settee, an internationalization company. At age 17, he moved from Brazil and, at 21, became a digital nomad, having been in more than 20 countries on 4 continents since then.
He specializes in Special Economic Zones and Charter Cities and is an ambassador for the Free Private Cities Foundation and Head of Internationalization at the Adrianople Group, a business intelligence firm focused on special jurisdictions.
TODAY'S CONVERSATION WITH FRANCISCO
Today I chat with Francisco Litvay about the power of free cities and private cities and how they just work better. If you’re new to this idea, listen to the entire podcast, there’s so much we unpack.
We discuss the possibility of creating a voluntary system of government and how that can help your business, how you can pay less taxes, and how free zones can help you move to different countries.
And if you’ve ever wondered how each of my podcast episodes is connected, week after week, I’ll let you in on the secret during this show.
A fascinating conversation on the practicality of libertarianism, what are the big projects in this space really have legs, things that are up and coming and what Francisco is working on right now.
Francisco and I talk about ZEDEs, the concept, and the value they bring to the world. We talk a lot about Honduras and what it will mean to the country, but there are many around the world.
We delve into other jurisdictions like Uruguay and the UAE, how their governments have handled special economic zones, and what the incentives are for businesses set up in these zones.
You’ve decided that you love the idea of a free zone, and you want to participate; Francisco discusses the company formation side, the banking side, the living side, and anything you can actually do to increase your own freedom using this vehicle and this varies from country to country, so listen carefully.
Special Economic Zones in Africa? Countries like São Tomé and Príncipe or Nigeria. Maybe these are great alternative countries and islands that we should look at?
If you want to see where all of the special economic zones are across the world, basically every zone on earth, go to Open Zone Map. If it's a charter city, a free zone, a free port, private or public, or if you really want to learn about zones and see...

201: Sustainable Living: How Agroforestry Investment Secures Residency
Today on the Expat Money Show we're going to republish a webinar presentation that I did a few days ago with my friends Ally and Patrick from EcoVillages. It was an awesome presentation, and we had literally hundreds of people on the line.
I also know that there are thousands of people who listen to the podcast from every corner of planet earth, many from different time zones, who were not able to watch the webinar live, so by republishing it this way, everyone from around the globe can listen to this presentation.
It is worth mentioning that Patrick made a special offer in the presentation which was set to expire a few days ago. I twisted his arm to get him to extend it by a week to Aug 22, 2022. This should give everyone a chance to listen to the presentation and be able to email him if you are interested.
His team can be reached at [email protected]
WHAT WE DISCUSSED IN THIS WEBINAR
I'm going to spoil the surprise a little bit, but Patrick made a very, very generous offer on this presentation… make sure you listen to find out what it was!
This surprise had a set date of the 15th of this month, which just passed. I had dinner with him the other night, and I got him to agree to move that date just by a few days. Don’t miss your chance!
What is ‘Agroforestry’ anyways? And what is the concept behind agroforestry? Before you can make a good decision, you really have to understand these concepts!
We’re going to talk about a ton of really valuable things regarding this unique investment. Get your pen and paper ready!
So if you guys want more information about all of this, especially after you listen to the episode, then you can send Patrick and Ally an email. I’ll give you the address in the podcast, keep an ear open for it.
I’ve done this process myself, I know what you can expect is going to happen, so there’s no better place to hear this information than from todays podcast episode.
Top 3 reasons why having a second residence is so important and what can happen when that’s not in place.
We're going to be talking about how you can get a 2nd or 3rd residency in a new country, specifically residency through investment using agroforestry. We're going to be talking about what that entails, the immigration process, and how it is all viewed.
We're going to have a big Q&A at the end of this session, so it’s vitally important to listen to the entire podcast so that all of your questions are answered. You won’t want to miss that.

200 Episodes, 200 Adventures: Celebrating Global Exploration
Today we celebrate episode 200. Holy moly, I can’t believe it’s been 6 years since I bought my first podcasting equipment and made the move into full-time podcasting. HERE’S WHAT I DISCUSS IN THIS EPISODE
Listen in to hear what happens when you don’t know what you want but just go for it, starting something that you really enjoy doing, and what the end result can be.
I talk today about what I’ve been up to, what’s happening in the business, the new resources, the projects, and all the cool stuff out there to make your expat dream a reality. If you’re not an expat and want to be one, this is the episode for you.

I share with you the updates on our project with 10 Eighteen Uganda, the organization that changed my life, what has been happening this past year, and with your support, what we can expect for 2023 going forward. So very inspiring all the good this organization is doing. I know you’ll want to be a part of this.
Even though we have way over 6,300 members in our Facebook group in just under a year, you’ll laugh at how we get people to leave, saying goodbye on their way out the door. If you’re not part of our FB Group, now is the time to join.

184: Your Offshore Escape Plan: Securing True Freedom
Today on the Expat Money Show I am going to replay an interview I did with my friend Tom Bodrovics from Palisades Gold Radio that went live a couple of weeks ago.
I really enjoyed doing this interview and personally, I think I did an awesome job; however, not everyone in Tom's audience thought so. I got comments from people who really don't understand what we're talking about on this program or what we stand for Expat Money.
But, I would say the majority of the comments were really good and I ended up getting some fantastic clients out of it and was able to help, what I would think, a lot of people. So I want to replay the interview for you and hopefully help you to secure your own freedoms offshore.
IN TODAY’S EPISODE TOM AND I DISCUSS…
If you’re still unsure of how and where my extensive experience comes from, and why I can do what I do day in and day out, you’ll get a ton of value from this interview I did with Tom.
Why I’ve travelled to so many countries over so many years. Do I do it because I love to travel? Listen in to find out.
Why understanding and implementing good tax mitigation strategies can save you money, a lot of money over your entire lifetime.
As fellow Canadians, Tom and I discuss the horrific acts that Justin Castro is implementing for Canadian citizens.
If you’re not worried about the Cancel culture, you should be, you should be very afraid. Your country could be next…
Listen as we discuss the freest countries in the world, then…and now.
We chat about lessons we learned that might work today, but might not work tomorrow. Pay attention here.

183: Navigating New Norms: Defending Children in Woke Educational Systems
Today on the Expat Money Show I am going to replay a really special webinar I did last week with my business partner and friend, Michael Strong, discussing why mainstream education is destroying your children and how you can easily prevent this.
This is not a new phenomenon and I don’t see it getting any better in the near future. With such a bleak outlook for our education system, it’s time parents took control of the situation to provide the very best education available today.
IN TODAY’S EPISODE WE DISCUSS…
How problems with today’s brick and mortar schools, like masking, bullying and the woke culture are defeating the true nature of our children and what you can do to eliminate this kind of behaviour.
Listen as Michael explains ideas of entrepreneurship and economic freedom and how your children can become great believers in peace and prosperity.
Why a statement like ‘capitalism makes the rich richer and the poor poorer’ is so absurd. Learn what capitalism really is, and why it's so important for our children’s future.
Michael and I discuss what teaching real history looks like, not what government-run schools demand their students to learn. It’s very sad.
How censorship is destroying your child, and if nothing is done to correct this, why they will likely never recover from it.
Is your child learning real skills that will help her to be the best adult she can be? Listen to why this is more important now than ever before.
What Socratic is, why it’s vitally important for your children’s education, and most importantly, why our school is based on this premise.
Catastrophic statistics for school-aged adolescents in the United States are off the charts. You will not believe these numbers, they are crazy!
