Stephen Miller will work closely with Susie Wiles, who was just named as the next White House Chief of Staff.Vice President-elect J.D.Vance referred to the selection of Miller as, quote, another fantastic pick.
Miller, who served as senior advisor in the first Trump administration, is best known for his role as a key architect of some of the Trump administration's strongest immigration plans.
Once leaving the White House, Miller went on to start America First Legal, a non-profit that aimed to serve as a conservative version of the ACLU.

NPR's Shonda Lees-Duster reports the North Taurid meteor shower will peak tonight.
The North and South Taurid meteor showers happen toward the end of each year.The number of meteors vary, and astronomers say at its peak, this shower may have fewer than five meteors per hour.
But the meteors are known to be very bright and are often called fireballs. The American Meteor Society says the best chance to see the meteors will be after midnight.

Detroiters will see the option to pay their property taxes with cryptocurrency through PayPal starting in mid-2025.Entrepreneurs and tech leaders had lobbied for the change.
Nikhil Patel, deputy CFO and treasurer for the city of Detroit, says implementing the system will put Detroit at the forefront of enabling technologies like crypto and blockchain.
We believe that this was a mechanism to at least signal to the market that Detroit is ready for those entrepreneurs to develop here and remove barriers for them doing so.
