Since you and Brett have gone sober, what are your thoughts and how often do you take THC?Are you and Brett, how long are you going to go without drinking?Would I consider, or am I micro-dosing semaglutide?
How did the copper peptide treatments go that you and Brett did? All right, so the first question is, Chalene, what else have you done to your face in the last 90 days?
And I think this is because I posted a photo, my before and after picture of my face.So I haven't done Botox, I haven't done anything in the last 90 days.I mean, trust me, your girl loves Botox.I like a little lip filler.
I've decided to not put any fillers in my face.I mean, I did like, I don't know, probably three or four years ago.Let's see, just before Sierra.Maybe like six months before Sierra got married. How long has Sierra been married?
So Sierra's been married for two years. So I haven't put any fillers in my face in two years other than a little bit in my lips.
And I'm doing that because I plan on having a facelift, a brow lift, an upper bluff, a lower bluff, all the bluffs, all the lifts, all the tightening at some point.
Yeah.I haven't been talked about.This hasn't been discussed yet.
No, because I mean, I don't know when I'll do it.I'll definitely use the beauty broker and find like the best surgeon on the planet. All those things, you know, it's just something to look forward to at some point.
But I think the biggest change is that I started using the estrogen cream on my face, which we have found out now.
Because I was like, is that okay for guys to use?
And you found out that it is.
Yeah.Guys that make estrogen too, which is kind of interesting how we've really looked at hormones as you own the testosterone, I own the estrogen. It's just not true.So men can absolutely use estrogen cream on their face.
And so I asked a doctor, is that in fact the case? Can men use it just as safely as women? And she said, yeah, and the gay men are already on it.It's just, oh, Yeah, the straight men takes a little bit longer for them to catch on to these things.
Do you know this?Do you know that it is also very popular amongst gay men to have their balls? They get Botox in their balls.
This is way too much information that I don't need.
What do you think about that?
I don't.I don't want to stick any needles.I've already had needles stuck there for my neuropathy and it's not fun. So I don't know why I would want to do that just for the giggles.Botox doesn't last forever. No, that means they're getting needled.
They're nuts.Needled all the time.
Probably like every three months.
Hey doc, it's time to needle the nuts.
I'm not sure.I think it lets them drop.I don't know. Can you chat you PTA right now while I look at my next answer?
That's what our source is going to be.
Why don't I just go to our resident?
Just go to Chet Chaffee. No, you, yeah, you could also, don't say a name because they don't want their name mentioned, but that's Chet Chaffee Tea.Okay.So anyways, I've been using estrogen cream on my face.
I said this in the episode that I did, I'm using it twice a day and you can get a prescription. No, you have to get a prescription for it.You can't just buy it over the counter.
But the one that I use is compounded and it has more than just estrogen in it.It's specifically made for your face or your hands or whatever. And I use it on my neck, my face, back of my hands. And as I mentioned, I get mine from Midi Health.
And it's compounded, so it's got hyaluronic acid as well as DMEA.And wait a second, before you, Brett's going to give us our answer in just a moment.
But the other thing I think has made a difference in my face, I mean, not a huge difference, but you know, we did stop drinking three and a half months ago.And that probably has, I can tell my skin is better for sure.
But we, Brett and I just both had our blood work done. And one thing that was interesting is our A1C, it didn't change, right?
No, it didn't change. But my liver score was considerably better.
And mine was a little better too.And I think that's mainly because we were drinking champagne, which is very low in sugar. So yeah, so it's a combination of things.
I'm never going to say it's always just one thing because, you know, it could be a combination of things. So I'm being honest about that. But like, I want to know why we don't put estrogen cream all over our whole freaking body.Maybe that's too much.
Then it probably does elevate your estrogen levels. And now Brett has an update for us on Botox to the balls.Okay.
Okay.So this is why if you wanted to get Botox on your scrotum, this is why these are the top three reasons. One, they become a smoother for appearance wise.So any wrinkles, if you don't like a wrinkly ball, you're going to get them.
aesthetically pleasing appearance for your wrinkly balls that becomes smooth and less wrinkly.Reduce sweat. So I guess that's a thing for like hygiene.
Absolutely.I used to get my scalp Botox to when I was doing fitness videos so that my hair wouldn't get sopping wet while I was filming.
Yeah.I mean, there's, I mean, that's, that's a thing. And then the last one is what you said, increased relaxation. So the scrotum will hang lower. which is that something people want, which some men find more comfortable or visibly appealing.
So maybe the gay guys like the low hanging fruit.
Well, it's maybe it's a straight guy thing too.
Like if you're single and you're, you know, want your scrotum, like women do vaginoplasty.
I can tell you right now in my, in my circle.
This has never been discussed.Your circle.
Brian's never said, hey, what do you think about the appearance?
Brian, Adam, Kip, none of us, Rob, none of us talk about this.
Okay, that's pretty funny.
Jared, none of our boys are talking about this.
You just listed all your male friends, that's pretty cute.Okay, next question. The Sheets, can you find out the name of The Sheets?
How am I supposed to do that?
Can you text Jen? I know one of them.I'm not texting or assisting.Okay.You're right. All right. We'll get back to that one, but I do need to give you guys a sheets review. And so I'm going to do that at the end of this.Okay.Because I just right now.
I mean, I'm not opposed to the sheets. The sheets are great, but the best thing that we have on our bed right now is the cover.
I know.Okay.So we'll, let's talk about that. This is not sponsored. and it pains me, it pains me to talk about this, but it's also gatekeeping if I don't.
Yeah, because we can't, just because we don't have like an affiliate or we don't have a sponsorship or something like that, if we find something that is so fabulous and the company are just like, they just won't do it.
Well, that's my point is not like that we need to get an affiliate fee.It bugs me that we can't give people a discount.
Yeah, that's what I meant.
Yeah. I'm like, why I don't want to talk about this unless that's not fair that y'all don't get a discount.I didn't get a discount on it either. But okay, so here it is.It's called the sleep eight.
It's just got to be some other influencer who has a discount code, but then
The whole thing that- Guys, they said that their market is, which is so weird because women buy these type of things.Like a man is not listening to the Joe Rogan show and going, oh my God, they talked about the sleep aid thing. You need to go buy it.
The wife is still going to be the purchaser of this thing, I would think.
I mean, in most cases, because basically their marketing strategy we found out is that they're going on like only the dude only dude, only dude podcasts, like we had a deal almost done with them.
And then they're like, Oh, we just decided that we're only going to do sponsorships were on dude podcasts. And like, that's the stupidest thing.
I'm like the dudes, the dudes aren't buying mattress covers.Women are you're missing the point.Okay, so anyways, I'm going to tell you about this. And I I don't know.
I'll figure out if I can look in our show notes just in case, because I will find out if like maybe some other influencer has a discount because this thing is fricking expensive. This ain't cheap. What we're about to tell you about.
It's called the sleep eight. And what it is, it's like a mattress cover and it's very, very thin and it's filled with water.Okay.But you can't tell it doesn't affect your mat.It doesn't affect your mattress. It's just very, very thin.
And what it does is you set it to just a few degrees below your body temperature.Doing so helps you fall asleep faster and it is scientifically proven to keep you asleep longer.
And then you can coordinate it to where like, let's say you want to wake up at seven o'clock, that it starts to get a little warm.
Yeah.So in the morning, so you said it like, you know, right now ours, we set it like three degrees below our body temperature. And then when we want to wake up, you set it for five degrees, which isn't much, right?
Five degrees above your core temperature. And it's just the most gentle, predictable, easy way to wake up.
Your core temperature, really?Yeah.Isn't your core, your core temperature isn't in your,
We're not setting it to 100 degrees. You just said five degrees over that. The thing when we wake up in the morning is 102 degrees.
It's just a little warmer.
I'll show you on the app.Really?Yeah, let me show you.
Let's not do that right now.Yeah, it's like minus three or plus five.It doesn't feel that hot.It just feels comfy.
Yeah, because it's the same temperature. It's just five degrees warmer than your body.
Okay. I just think of a hundred degrees and I start thinking of like a jacuzzi and I'd be like, Ooh, that's hot.
But it's not, it's just slightly warms you up.And it's just such a gentle way to wake you up.And it also, if you want, it'll vibrate, but you don't even need that because when it gets warm, it does. You just, it's weird.
You just naturally wake up and you're not like hot. You're just like, huh?You will think about it when you get just a little bit warm in the middle of the night, you wake up.
And that's why we have to tell people the brands of those sheets.Koiuchi is one of them for sure. That one was like more expensive.I just can't remember the other one.I think, I feel like it was Brooklinen, but I'm not positive.
So I better check, but it's a specific style with both those brands. And I'll have to look them up because I think their one was a lot more expensive than the other anyways. And we don't have a discount code for that either.I do apologize.
While on the subject of sleep, I think it's also important to remember that you've got to make sure you're getting your morning sunshine.
That's a huge way to just help regulate your circadian rhythm, but it's also really important that you have proper nutrition. And that means absorbing enough magnesium through your diet.
And if you're like most of us, including myself, and you're just not perfect, you're probably like 70% of the population deficient in magnesium, which is why I'm always saying like, make sure you're getting a high quality magnesium supplement.
The one that I use, I've been using it for years. You've been hearing me talk about it.And that is because it makes such a difference. And that is Bioptimizer.Bioptimizer is the magnesium I talk about where
Instead of having to buy like a bunch of different types of magnesium, they've developed this breakthrough product that has all seven critical forms of magnesium in one.You can either get in a capsule or a powder.I take both.
I put the powder in my drink every single morning, one scoop. And then I take one to two capsules at night of the magnesium. It just helps with my sleep. It helps with my digestion.I'm going to say this personal recommendation.Start slow.
Start with a small dosage.See how that affects your sleep, your digestion, mood, everything like Magnesium is responsible for so many different functions, over 300 different functions in your body.
And right now, Bioptimizer is running a Black Friday special, but you can have access to it right now.

Buyoptimizer.com forward slash Shaleen enter code Shaleen for all the goodies. Now back to the price of this Sleep 8 mattress, it's pricey.
Just under three grand.Yeah.And then the ultra one, which has got like all the bells and whistles is just under five grand.
Which personally, I don't think you would need.Yeah.The price has gotta come down, but I'm telling you.
Well, until they get a competitor, they won't.
I'll tell you what though, ladies and gentlemen, it's a game fricking changer.
Yeah, some things are just, I mean, I know it's expensive and I don't mean to sound like you know, but sometimes like your sleep and that's like such a huge thing for your health.
That, I mean, if you're having a tough time sleeping now, if you're sleeping eight hours a night. Save yourself some money, like you don't need it.
But if you really struggle or your partner really struggles to sleep and you're sleeping like three or four hours and you're trying everything.
Or you're having hot flashes.
Or whatever, I mean, it might be just bite the bullet. And I did see, just doing a quick Google search, I mean, you can pay for it in payments and stuff like that and stuff like that.
So it's probably one of those things where it might be like back in the day when they used to give you a TV and you could do like no interest for a year.So maybe they have some no interest type things and stuff like that.
I don't know, I'm just sorry that we don't have a discount for you.We try. Here we are trying to talk you into buying something. You don't have to buy it, I'm just saying. It's a game changer if you have hot flashes or you just sleep hot.
Okay, next question was, are you and Brett, how long are you going to go without drinking?
I'm just not into it.Like, you kind of said that right off the bat.You were like, you really don't care, do you?And I was like, no. So I mean, I really don't.
I mean, I've thought about it a couple times in terms of like, if we were to go out with a group of people that we know likes to have a couple cocktails, and you were like, you might have to take one for the team, because you really don't want to do it.
And I was like, sure, I probably would at that point.Because at this point, I don't want to make other people feel uncomfortable, because it doesn't bother me at all if I have a couple of drinks.
Like, it's not like one of those ethic things for me or anything like that, or it's gonna like, oh, it's gonna break my streak or anything like that. It's nothing like that.
for me, so I probably would, but I don't have any interest in just having a drink in the middle of the week or anything.I don't even think about it.
And that is because, what's the main motivator for you why you're not drinking?
Well, definitely knowing that it increases my risk of dementia. So anything that I can do to limit that and stack the odds in my favor of not getting dementia, I'm going to do.
And you do, you do all the things.
I do all the things.I just, I just did, I just did another expensive thing.Prenuvo.I did one of those scans and it came out really good. And I, a few years ago I had my brain tested with Amen and that came out really good. So,
But with your own experience with your father having Alzheimer's, it's just been so devastating and just the impact it's had on our family, Brett being the son, like to imagine our own kids dealing with that is just unthinkable.
It's unthinkable that we could do something that knowingly would result in our family having to deal with us having Alzheimer's.Like certainly there are,
things such as your genes and other genetic factors as well as environmental factors that are going to contribute to your risk of having Alzheimer's.But when, for us, knowingly doing something, just, it doesn't align with our ethics.
Yeah, and we, and Chalene's stated it many times, that we knew this as soon as my dad was diagnosed. We knew that Alcohol increases your chance and are always go to and shillings explain.
This was like, okay We're drinking the like the lowest form of alcohol the healthiest version talks least least toxic as possible So that's how we kind of justify it in our brain and it's just like okay.Well, you know what?
We really don't need to and it's just one more thing to like stack in your favor.I
Yeah.So one thing I will admit is that Brett and I realized we're two different people when it comes to alcohol.
And the reason why Brett's like, okay, if we went out with a big group and on a rare occasion, a couple times a year, like, do I think that if you drink a couple times a year or like very rarely, that that's something to really worry about.
No, I don't.Even though there is research that suggests that even the smallest dose, there is no dose that's healthy. And even the smallest dose does, you know, it's dose dependent. So the more you drink, the more, the higher you raise your risk.
But the thing that's different about the two of us is I feel like what I've discovered about my relationship with alcohol is I don't want one glass and I don't want to just drink it one night. it feels more of like an addictive thing for me.
And so for me, I just feel like it's easier. It's not like I couldn't do it.I just feel like it's easier and less complicated to just not drink.Whereas I feel like Brett, like he said, if we went out with a big group of people who
You know, it's just like, I don't know, maybe makes them feel more comfortable or whatever.Maybe he just feels like having a glass of champagne, like he'll do that because that's less complicated. But for me, it's less complicated to just go without.
Yeah, I would have whatever, two glasses of champagne, a dinner or whatever. And the next morning, just like wake up and just go about my day.And I wouldn't even think about it.
So this question is asked if, after having Dr. Tina Moore on my show, would I consider or am I microdosing semaglutide or GLP-1?And I am not.And I think I mentioned this in a previous episode, I would.
And there's a part of me that really, really, really would like to do that based on the science and information that she shared and others have.
And I've watched a ton of other podcasts, and I've got lots of friends who are in the space who are microdosing GLP-1s, semi-glutide, compounded forms, in a microdose, just not to affect their appetite, but to bring down inflammation.
And I think that's brilliant. And in fact, I've got quite a few friends who have done so, and they haven't lost any weight and they're looking at their inflammatory markers and they're down.So that really makes me want to do that.
And I'm just going to tell you right now that the only reason why I'm not, because I'd like to bring my inflammatory markers down, that just helps with all with longevity, right?
But the reason why I wouldn't is because, and I know this is kind of complicated, but because I,
want to teach women that it is obtainable, like at this age, you don't have to pay for expensive, crazy treatments in order to build muscle, lose body fat, and be in the best shape of your life.
And my fear is if I did do a microdose, it's just so easy for people to almost like accuse you, like, oh yeah, but you're doing Ozempic, aren't you?You know what I mean?Like in such an accusational
weird kind of way, they still already do that with me, which I'm like, I'm not.I don't know.I just don't, I don't want to have to deal with that.
I think everybody assumes now because it's almost like, but what was that drug like in the early 90s?Fen-Phen?
Right. It's the same thing.Like everybody that was losing weight back then, everybody's like, oh, you're on Fen-Phen.And then now it's like, if you have any kind of body transformation, you're like, oh, you did.
You did Ozempic. And you're like, no, why don't you follow me around for a day and see the, you know, it's just like, but you can't do that. And people will get all like, you know.
And also, Why not?Like, these people who, there's quite a few influencers who I follow who were formerly part of the body or whatever. They were like bigger girls, curvy girls, fuller figured, body positivity, whatever you want to call it.
And they've lost a lot of weight. And they're, they're followers. And the public just comes after them like, Oh, you're such a liar. It's like, wait, what? Why do people care?
I don't know.If you're one of those people that care what other people are doing, you should go find a new life.I think the reason why- What's that thing that you say?Ew?
Oh my God, ew.People that get into other people's lives and try to figure out, just, I don't know.People are, I don't know.
I think it's because weight is such a stigma. And so if you've struggled with your weight all your life, And you tried to do it, quote unquote, the healthy, natural way, whatever you want to call it.It feels unfair.
And I think that's why people attack those who do find a solution.
People that don't have success like to make like
like villainize people that have had success, whether really good point, whether it's in business, whether it's in health, whether it's in anything, relationships, people that have not had success, like to point out people that have sex or sex.Yeah.
People that have success probably are having a lot of sex, but anyway, they just like to just dwell on it and they like to, and it, focus on it.
Yeah, because it holds a mirror up to themselves. And it makes them more aware maybe of their own personal struggle. And I get that.
But I really do think, you know, of course, we don't know long, long, long term, but we have been looking at GLP ones for far more years than what people recognize. And we know how deadly, how expensive
how unhealthy, how there's no upside of the obesity epidemic. So if we can find a solution to it, why are we so villainizing this possibility?
I don't know. It's crazy how like inflammation can just kill you, but the food and drug industry is just so backwards.
The person that gets in control and can change that, and it's like that one gal that Varee, the food babe, she's on a crusade right now. She's literally going after the big,
food companies that are just adding all kinds of crap and just, you know, showing like I follow her.So she'll put on like a cereal and the same cereal in the U.K.or not in the U.K.in Europe and like show the ingredients.
And there's like 50 ingredients in this cereal box in the United States. And there's seven ingredients in the in Europe. And she's just going after people. And it takes people. It takes going after Kellogg.
Yeah, and it takes people like the RFK guy that's like, I just want to make America healthy again. He wants to get in there and change it so people understand the food industry and it just needs to be changed.
I mean, it's a massive thing because every time you go to fight that industry, you're fighting a lot of money.
You know what that is?That's an Enneagram 8 for you.I'll bet you a million bucks she's an Enneagram 8.We don't care.We will cut off our arm. in the name of justice and truth.
And you know, you've got to have people who are willing to buck the system and call people on their BS because there's so many additives that they put in food that are just the smallest sprinkle makes something addictive.
I don't know if you guys have heard the allegations that are being made against LMNT.Oh, really?Yeah.Oh, yeah.Oh, yeah.Like they've discovered that in how they put on the packaging, under the ingredients, artificial flavoring.
You can hide anything under the term of artificial flavoring.
And what they were hiding under artificial flavoring was like five times the amount of sodium that you thought you were ingesting and an ingredient that makes it highly, highly, highly addictive.
And I send it to my sister and she's like, oh God, I know I'm super addicted to this stuff. Okay, when we're talking about longevity, it's hard not to think about the blue zones, right? The people who live to be 100 years old.
And when we traveled through Europe, one of the things that we noticed is that olive oil was on every single table. And there are four words to remember when it comes to olive oil.The fresher, the better.
That's because olive oil is, it's a fruit and olive oil is naturally a fruit juice.Did you know that?Yeah. So just like any other fruit juice, you want it to be bottled basically at the peak of flavor.
That's what it's going to give you the most nutritional potency. Not all olive oils were made the same.I mean, you can literally taste and smell the difference. And so that is why I love recommending getfresh326.com.
This is where you can get a full size bottle of fresh pressed olive oil for only $1 as a listener of the Shaleen Show.Okay, again, that website is getfresh326.com.You'll receive delivered right to your home
one of the world's most delicious artisanal olive oils direct from gold medal award-winning small farms. They bottle this stuff right at harvest. This is a company that's developed by TJ Robinson.
He is known as the olive oil hunter, and I'm telling you, it is amazing. Olive oil has been found to be helpful in the prevention of type 2 diabetes, certain types of cancer. It's natural. It's also high in antioxidants. It improves your immune system.
And of course, it's the cornerstone of the Mediterranean diet.So get your full size bottle of fresh pressed olive oil for only a dollar by going to getfresh326.com.Again, that's getfresh326.com.Okay, so next question was,
You talk about estrogen a lot and I am on testosterone pellets.I'm so sick of it.What are your thoughts on pellets?Well, I've done a few episodes on this.So go back and look at the episode I did with Dr. Kelly Casperson.
One thing that we, the experts say when it comes to testosterone pellets is that they're implanted in the skin, right?
If it's the wrong dose, if it's not the right dose, if it's too high of a dose for you, all of those things, it's not easy to adjust.
Number one- Is it cheaper than inject?
Yeah.A lot cheaper?Well, men, it's approved for them by the FDA to have injectable testosterone, but for women, for some reason, it's not, which is such BS.Don't even get me started. However, I just heard from the folks at MidiHealth that they are,
I believe they just got approved or they're in, it's just about to happen where they are able to prescribe injectable testosterone.I personally, based on the research I've looked at, your body produces testosterone daily.
So if you're taking testosterone on a monthly basis, then you're going to get this super high spike and then a dip.And it's just, it's not the way your body has intended to produce that hormone. We produce hormones every day.
And so ideally you would want to supplement on a more regular basis. The problem is you take such a small, small, small dose of testosterone for women. It's such a small dose. It's like a hint, right?
And in order to inject just the smallest amount, what you really need to do is work with a compounding pharmacy. So you want to work with a
health practitioner who works with a compounding pharmacy, this is my personal opinion, where they can create an injectable form for you that's, you know, maybe it is compounded with something else that makes it a little bit easier for you to inject the smallest, smallest amount.
Does that make sense?Yeah.Okay.So here's what you need to understand about perimenopause. Those of you who are in perimenopause, it's a nightmare and there's no way around it.
Like I have a girlfriend right now who she's like, Shaleen, I've been having my period for like three weeks and this is miserable. And my doctor keeps trying to like, you know, adjust this and adjust that.
And I said, girlfriend, this is called perimenopause. And it is a nightmare because your labs can change.Like if you could, she sent me two of her labs and they're so wildly different.
And I'm like, yeah, because your labs can be different when you're in perimenopause from Monday to next Monday.Because
They're up and down and up and down and your body's trying to figure out what the heck to do as estrogens out the door as progesterone is dropping as Testosterone is dropping, you know, all these things are like Bottoming out and your body's trying to figure out what the heck to do.
So you want to treat symptoms?Labs are helpful, but I'm just telling you if you just really focus on lifestyle changes.I mean, this is why we created Faze It, obviously.
So if you're not familiar with Faze It, go check it out, because we can help you with this stuff.Because lifestyle is really the number one way to help you become more balanced.
And then of course, treating symptoms and using less like, but it's, it's just not a science. It's an art.And we're all so different. But girls, let me tell you, once you get into the after party, Let me get you excited about menopause.
It is so much more predictable. It is so much more fun.I've never felt better. And it's just, oh my gosh, just like perimenopause was a nightmare. But speaking of testosterone, I think not enough men realize they go through menopause too, kind of.
I mean, men, their testosterone drops.
your testosterone starts dropping, I think in your late thirties, maybe sooner than that. But yeah, it's just, you get tested and they'll supplement that for you.
And in fact, I just got my blood work done and my new doctor said, you know what, let's, let's take it down a little bit.He didn't like how high it was.And I said,
Oh, don't take it down.I like testosterone up nice and high.
Yeah. So, but he said that it just, for my age, he just said, it's a little high, so let's just take it down. And if you get a really good doctor, I mean, he didn't, he wasn't like, Oh, just cut it out.Cause he knows that there's still benefits to it.
So he said, let's just take it down a little bit and then see where that, you know, and then we'll retest and cause it's not causing me any problems.
So he just said, how does it make you feel?I'm like, I feel fine. He's like, okay, it's just seems a little high.He goes, if we can get the same, if you can get the same benefits and we're a little bit lower, he goes, I would like that better.
Okay.Guess what? This is actually in response to one of the questions. They said, Shalini, are you still wearing an aura ring? And yes, I am wearing an, today I'm wearing an aura ring and I'm wearing a ring con.I'm wearing both right now.
It came in the mail yesterday, my new ring con, which is the company that Brett has been talking about. We don't have a discount code for either of these things, but the ring con is cheap.Okay, so we'll tell you the pros and cons.So the Aura Ring.
I don't see that there's any, if you don't have one, if you have an Aura Ring and you love it, more power to you.If you don't have a ring and you're in the business of shopping for one, then it'd be crazy not to just get a ring con.
They're the same thing and it's cheaper. It's the same thing, and it gives you the same data.In fact, I'll go out and say that my Aura got beat up a lot more than my Ringcon. My Ringcon still looks great.I've had it for a year.
I've never had any problems. The Ringcon updates a lot more of their software, so they're always updating, which I think is a good thing. The battery seems to last a lot longer than the Aura Ring. There's no subscription, and it's cheaper.
Yeah. The downsides.Ringcon is, you know, I would just, I'll bet you a million bucks they are being manufactured in the same facility. For sure. They're identical. The apps are a little bit different, but they have the same information.
I think about a hundred bucks cheaper and there's no subscription. The other downside though with the Ringcon is I ordered my Ringcon how long ago? Like I think seven weeks ago and it just came. That wasn't cute.
And I just get the sense that like they're not a US company because I kept emailing them and their replies back had like all these typos in it.And like, just, you can just tell like, I don't know, English isn't their first language.
They're definitely not shipping from Philadelphia.
So, I mean, it's out of the country.
and you know but it's a it's a superior quality though it is it's a great product yeah like the charging case is even nicer anyways the reason why i'm wearing both of them right now is i want to see
how, okay, the Rincon is just actually a little bit, it's not as wide, if that makes sense, as wide of a band. It's just as thick, and it's new, and I wanna see how accurate they are, so that'll be interesting.
I'll compare those and I'll let you guys know.Anyways, we don't have a discount code for you on that either.I really feel like we've let you guys down, I really do, and I apologize. We tried.
We're like, okay, you know, let's get, you know, if, uh, or a ring is not going to give us a discount anymore, then what about ring con?Nope. They're not interested either. What's up with these people?
I don't know.They don't realize we could sell them a lot.
We could help a lot of people. All right. What is the status of your lawsuit with the plastic surgeon? Well, unfortunately I cannot address that question.
She cannot say anything, but there is somebody that can, and his name is Google.
Yeah, we're not addressing that.I apologize. But thank you for asking.I always appreciate that you guys, you know, worry about those kinds of things. It means a lot.
Okay, had a ton of people after the estrogen cream episode that I did, saying that they want a hair episode. And this person is asking, how did the copper peptide treatments go that you and Brett did.So when was that?A year ago.
We did it right before we came here.So it's been a year. And I would never do it again. It was so painful.
And I'm not like, I don't have like a flock of new hair like coming through or anything like that.
But you know, the before and afters, I think it did make a difference.I might do it again.I would have to take some kind of a sedative. Oh, by the way, yes.
It hurts.Oh, it really does hurt. It's painful. It's like, you know, and I've tattooed a lot of my body and it hurts. And I would say that there's only been like one tattoo that put me in discomfort. This thing was the whole hour was discomfort.
But shout out to the gal that did it.I mean, she was awesome. And I think it's helped my hair. But here's the deal.I have an expert who we've lined up because you guys were like, no, we need a hair expert.
And so I found like the top doctor who this is her expertise. And I said, I only want to bring someone on who's going to tell us all of the things, like give us the pros, the cons, the costs, what things are, what things are legit.
Cause we need to talk about hormonal hair loss. It's so common and it's distressing.Like for a lot of us, your hair is something that can make you feel very feminine.Yeah.
That's probably why you get hair extensions. You go back and forth, but you always like to go back to hair extensions and you always like love that when you get them back in.
Oh, that's fun, it's fun to have like, it is, it's just so fun to have like some thick, long, which I'll never in my entire life have had thick hair, but I am avoiding putting them in the places where my hair is weakest, like on the sides and on the top, you know, I just try to keep that nice and healthy.
So I'm excited about having an expert to share with us like what actually works and what doesn't. I also would love to get your feedback on doing a sex episode, like that episode that Brett and I did together with Was her name Susan?Yeah.
That was a really well-received episode, even though it was a little awkward and weird in some parts.
That's only because she talked the whole time.We didn't really get to ask too many questions.
Yeah, that's true.You're right.
I'd rather, if we're going to do that again, I want somebody that we can have a dialogue with.
I feel like I need to do a sex episode just for the ladies.
And keep me out of it?I think that would be amazing.
Yeah, because I don't need to be on there.
Okay, so let me know.I'm not like an expert or anything. But what I would like to do is share some tips for those of you who've been in a long term relationship, like how to keep things hot, how to keep things exciting.
and share some of the things that, like, you know, just suggestions and tips and maybe some less conventional or less common things. And then also maybe some of the common things.I don't know, but you have to let me know.
So wherever you're listening to this, please let me know. What questions do you have? What challenges do you face?Like, I know there's, you know, painful sex or low libido, but there's lots of other things too, like ED.
I forget what the statistics are for men, but ED is so common with men over 40.Last question.Okay, Brett, this is the last question. You got to answer it honestly. This person says, since you and Brett have gone sober,
What are your thoughts and how often do you take THC?
Probably three or four nights a week. And it's like, I would consider it like microdosing.I mean, it's like, it's a half of a 10 milligram gummy.
So we have, we like THC and I would say, to be honest, I probably microdose it now a little bit more often. because we're not drinking. So there is still, like, you know, we're new to this.
Like I, we're, like I said, we're like three and a half months in to being sober.
And I, I don't know, technically, I guess you're not supposed to say you're sober if you're taking THC, but I mean, not drinking, but there is a side of me that still is like, okay, it's eight or nine o'clock at night.
And I, my brain is still going fast.I still feel kind of hyper and I still feel super alert and I want to relax.
Yeah, I take it to the point that microdosing that five milligrams or seven, whatever it is right there, right around that number. It doesn't get me to the point where like, I feel like I'm incoherent or high.
It's just 100% it's like a nice relaxing state.I don't like I'm done.I'm done for the day.
I would say that's closer to 10 milligrams for you, isn't it?
It might be sometimes it is gummies are hard to tell sometimes.Sometimes I take like a nibble and then I'm like, that didn't do like, you know, an hour later, I'm like, did I even do it?And so then I might go take a, you know, a little bit, a nibble.
My soul CB, this is not sponsored either, but my soul CBD has a product called out of office. And I think it's one and a half.Yeah.I think it's one and a half.So you could like take two of those and that would be three milligrams.
And that would be a nice microdose for me somewhere between three to five milligrams is just enough to make me feel relaxed.I don't like feeling high. And so it, for me, if I were to take seven to 10 milligrams, I would feel that.
I like, if you take 20, you have all four.
Yes.Oh my God.Embarrassing.Also my soul CBD, they have, they just came out with out of office in a dropper form, which is really interesting.Cause then you can just put it under your tongue and it absorbs very quickly.
Yeah. So and you know, that's a great company.I don't know, maybe we still do have a discount code.I'll look and see if we do.But yeah, so and I think I think THC is what the younger generation that they are not drinking.
Statistically speaking, we have talked to so many people who are in that space. In terms of the alcohol companies, they realize Oh, drinking is about to become smoking. The younger generations, they don't drink.
A couple of the big brand, like Constellation brand and stuff like that, they've already bought, they've already partnered with THC companies.Because they know it's coming.
They have to do THC infused drinks because people aren't going to drink the alcohol thing.Especially the younger generation.
Yeah, and I like it.So, listen, there's some pretty interesting research that shows a low microdose for men is very effective from a sexual standpoint?
You know what study I want to know?
I want to know, like I want to see a chart.
So Uber's been around like 10 or 15 years, and I would like to see a chart of drunk driving.
I'm glad you brought that up.
I would love to see it, because there's no chance that it hasn't gone down.
Why does anyone drink and drive?Jay Cutler, you know he just got arrested for drunk driving?
He tried to give the cop $2,000 and get out of it.
Seriously, why would anyone ever risk driving after having a cocktail when there's Uber?It makes no sense to me.Why do you think? I don't know.
Maybe it's because they've driven in the past at that scene, like they've had a couple drinks and they've driven in the past before Uber and they're like, I can do it.I can do it again.
That's the only inconvenience to get my car the next day or whatever.
That's the only thing I can think of.If you're, if you know that you're going to drink, it's just like take an Uber to the place. So it's just like, It's just, or just take an Uber home.I mean, but there's no chance.
Cause like, I remember in high school, like dare was like everywhere.Like, I mean, and even in, even in the nineties, like it was still very prevalent or mothers against drunk driving.
Yeah.Yeah.Yeah.Mad.That's what it was.And then, but it has happened. It is half to have dropped off in terms of alcohol, not being as prevalent and Uber and Lyft.
All right. And for those of you who are on Patreon, tomorrow, Brett Johnson is going to tell the story. The story of when the CEO of Beachbody called Brett Johnson, not me, called Brett Johnson.
and told him that he thought it would be a good idea for him to have a conversation with his wife about her body.Yeah.So that's going to be, that drops tomorrow on Patreon.Check it out.
you know, you can just go to patreon.com forward slash the Chalene show for that full scoop. If you're into that, I know some of you are like, I don't even know what this whole Beachbody thing, and I don't care.Okay, don't worry about it.
That's why it's on Patreon. In the meantime, I just want to thank you guys for asking these questions and for being patient with me because I know the episode got to you a little late on Wednesday. And I do apologize.I love you.I mean it.
