We've definitely got us a front door, good buddy.
You know what?Yes, we have a little convoy going. You know why?Yeah, because I'm back and we fooled them again.
Just gotta love the innocence of the 70s.This was actually a hit song.I think I need to get a CB radio again.
it is to say apologies for uh... my lengthy absence and uh... queenie reminded me that uh... apparently i have a duty to deliver this every friday it's a lonely guy friday uh...
I'm feeling a little less lonely on this Friday because I think that this two-year renovation is finally coming to an end.
And I, uh, it makes me feel real good. So, while it is a lonely guy Friday, just me, I'm not feeling as lonely. So I'm asking everyone from Radio Guy Friday to join me in my convo.I gotta stop this convo.I get it, but I love it.
Oh, kids, kids, kids, kids. What a tangled web that we do weave.Geez, much, I guess some stuff to go over, what I've been up to.I've been real busy with work, you know,
Queenie, Maria, my wife, being like, you know, Hollywood, stress, toxicity, and obviously with a lot of the stuff that is coming out about our beloved business.
You know, Maria, God, I think it was about the, after the brain tumor, she had almost had enough, and then after the pancreatic tumor, she was like, she pulled a Mr. Wonderful and was like, you know what, and for that reason, I'm out.Leaving me as a,
so when i step in the pocket say okay well here's the problem we have a lot of bills and you have a certain lifestyle you enjoy and you've grown accustomed to and you want to keep that lifestyle or would you like to trade it in for box number two which includes my red 2005 red pickup and my uh... timberland boots and levi's jeans which is you know i'm perfectly fine but neither Zayn Maria chose to not uh...
take out box number two.She went for box number one, which includes keeping her lifestyle.By the way, our lifestyle includes supporting many people as well.I've been a middle-aged man called back into the front lines. It's been fun.
It's been exciting, but it's been very time-consuming. and being night nurse to my baby, which is truly a labor of love, because that's my time with her.
But she gets up twice a night still, once just to kind of rumble, and then another time, the bottle. But like I said, it's our time.
And I'm adjusting, but yeah, it's been a lot so I haven't been able to Focus on this, but what I what I didn't want to happen is You know If I if I totally feel like if I totally take my hands off the wheel here, I feel you know this will You can only last an autopilot for so long kids anything you do in life.
You can put it on autopilot and for a time being, but any plane on autopilot, eventually it's gonna go down.So here I am, so I'm back. And I almost don't even know where to begin.I think what's top of mind is this election week.
Super surprising to me, but you know, I would never really want to talk politics.I don't know enough about it.Plus, it's just so incendiary. So I want to try to limit it.I'll admit, I'm a lifelong Democrat for many, many generations.
But I was just not crazy about the president and the candidate that went up.So it was tough. It was tough for me.
Well, that being said, I think the bigger thing that has moved me was the amount of online people just saying, I will not be your friend if you voted.
Like for example, now it's the, you know, now the losing side, you know, Dems, I'm seeing just a lot of people online and social media.Oh, look, that's our first call.Hi, Kevin Odagari.Welcome to Lonely Guy Friday.Sorry, I'm gonna turn that down.
I digress, where was I then?Oh, we were talking wrestling.Well, it's funny you should mention that. No, I'm kidding.
Yeah, no, but what moved me was seeing how many, I saw so many posts saying that if you voted, you know, if you voted for, on the Republican side, we're not friends anymore. We're not gonna be friends. And then I had young people I know who
you know, our friends from, you know, for years, from my network, who reached out to me and said, hey, such and such a person who, you know, I was close to is now unfollowing me, or has unfollowed me.
And apparently it's because of who they voted for.And I just find that really troubling.I do.I do.I don't know No matter how much it seems to be justified by either party, I just, I don't know in the long run what it does for us.
You know, it promotes exclusiveness.Yeah, I don't know, it's just not a good thing. And I've had a lot of friends, post stuff, I have Lauren LaGrasso used to produce this show. She was so proud to post a picture of her and Kamala.
She got to meet Kamala, probably interviewed her. She's a big executive now at one of the major podcast companies. And I'm like, of course I liked it.I'm like, so excited for her.She met the vice president.Like, how cool is that?
You know, I just, I don't know.Like, so I just, I don't think the heel squad is like this, but I don't know.
I just ask you to think and maybe communicate to people like this and people I'm, I'm offensive about, but I'm literally going to call who put that out there. But these are the same people who are always asking for my help for everything.
So what's it going to be?You're not going to be my friend anymore. You're not going to, you know, cause I'm not, I'm not doing that with anybody.No.Would I, um, Yeah, and I just don't think we're that far gone.
I don't think the parties are that far gone to dictate that. And I just don't think any good comes out of it.I think I really wish we could get back to civil discourse.
Accepting I mean, I remember having we never our family members are all Democrats, because you know, we grew up working class and less. And Republicans back then were aliens. It's like, no, she's actually a Republican.Really?
It was just more confusing. But it was never like, oh, what a jerk.It was just how it was.And I think when we moved to Winchester, Medford was very working class, had some tough neighborhoods. And then we went to Winchester, it was very wealthy.
And so that was when I first got to see Republicans. And you know, it's funny, they'd be on the golf course and they had these weird plaid pants and just, and duck socks and polo shirts, just weird, you know. But definitely wasn't hateful.
Now granted, our politicians have done us no favor because they've all incited it, all of them. But God, we just have to be better. We just have to be better. And so, you know, I'll tell you what the,
What I noticed in 2020, every year at Afterbuzz, I have interns come in.And this has now been going on.I don't even want to date myself how many. We're in decades of interns that will come to Afterbuzz.
And they're just so excited to start their careers in Hollywood. And I'm excited for them, because despite the darker side of Hollywood, the work we do is really cool. And it really is a privilege. And it's a lot of fun.And so I wish it on anybody.
I wish it on, first of all, anyone who has a dream. It just gets me excited and I wanna see, I'd like to see everyone either fulfill the dream or be on spring break. That's it, that's my wish for the world. But it's sad.
In the last, say, four years or five years, the faces are long, indifferent, apathetic, and sadly angry when I get on.And by the end, I do my best to disarm them and let them know I'm not the enemy, I'm not the bad guy.
I actually just have to be there to serve them and see them succeed. But it's really disheartening. I just remember I had to deal with some blowback during that time where I got in the middle of an attack.I was attacked.
My network was 80% women and people of color and different orientations. Before, it was the cool thing to do.It was 18 years ago.We were doing that. That was the statistics on our network and something I'm very proud of.And I'm sure Maria is too.
And yet I went under attack for something one of my staff did.And then we found out the staff didn't even do it.But it was, you know, listen, it was a crazy incendiary period. And I get all that.
But what I'm getting to is I remember being really angry and just wanting to go to the other extreme. And then I caught myself and said, you know what?
I'm not going to let a couple of these individuals who are angry and just want to burn things down or deeply traumatized and now just taking it out on me.But I'm not going to let them change my game.I'm going to continue to go out and be me.
I'm going to serve where I can serve and help who I can help, especially if there's underdogs out there who have dreams.I'm going to be there to help if they want it.
over the years, and I've talked about this, I have to be more judicious about who I help because, as we know, the best defense against the chicken wing is to not get put in it.
So I'm trying not to help people that aren't grateful and appreciative or don't respect the knowledge, but other than that, I made that decision. And so if your candidate didn't get in this time around, I ask you to do the same.
If you can, just go be you.Don't let the other side bring you down.Don't go to their level. If that's what you see them as, don't do it.And that's the path I took. You know, obviously I have greater fears because I'm an older dad with a baby.
So I'm thinking, I'm always thinking 30 years from now, where is she going to be at in 30 years? And, you know, I'm going to be a very elderly man.I'm already elderly.I'm going to be super elderly.
And I have to say, I'm going to be, because I do, I have to manifest being here. But I really have to think about her 30-year plan, where she's going to be at and how she's going to be prepared, because things are changing.
And much of it is necessary for the good, and then some is just too far.But that's kind of how the pendulum always goes.We just react so far in another direction.
And I'm hoping that in the next few years, and particularly as we end this decade, the pendulum is going to come more to the center. But as I said, if you can't get in, don't go down to that level.
And I don't think on either side, you should be ending friendships or relationships.I just, I don't know.I can't, I wish I had a heel squad expert on that maybe could explain why that's not a good thing.
I'm just a regular guy, regular guy psychologist. regular guy sociologist, I just don't feel it's the healthy thing to do, beyond the fact it's sad.And so, you know, there's some people I'm gonna have to talk to because they've put that out there.
And so I'm like, okay, well, maybe what's it gonna be?And I'm just gonna maybe not offer it in an ultimatum way, I'm gonna offer it in a means to educate.Because I think also that's what's missing with our leaders.
You know, why can't either of those parties come in and say, hey, Yes, we have a set of things we want to put in place.
And some of those things you're not going to agree with, but some of these things, you know, we feel are going to work and be for the greater good. But you know what else?We are still here to listen to what you want as well.
We're not just all this way. And there's gonna be things, so it's gonna be, and you say to your own side, there's gonna be compromise. You're not gonna, like, all the stuff that we wanna achieve, we're not gonna achieve all of it.
And by the way, I just did a big presentation deck for a major corporation. And it was 25 pages worth of concepts and ideas and whatever, and I said, listen, can I execute all of these?I don't know, it's me, so I'm gonna try, but,
One of these or half of these is a huge win for your corporation. It's the same thing here.None of our leaders, if we just could have a leader who's a communicator and actually was empathetic to the other side.
But again, it's just like, you know what is bigger than yours. And again, on all sides. And that's what I find the most troubling. as this falls out.And I have to warn you all, I'm probably gonna get more clueless to all of this.
Well, let me say, let me go back.I've been clueless to all of what's going on in a different way living in LA. Meaning, I'm so used to, like on my block, there was a guy lighting up a beautiful and clear crystal crack pipe, like two Sundays ago.
And I'm in the Cadillac of minivans, I just look over and I'm like, he's at the bus stop. And looks just like one of the junkies that worked for me in the carny business.
But that's a block away from me, and I'm in a place there where I don't feel comfortable pushing Athena into baby carriage unless Marina pushes her, my hands are free to protect us.It's just how it is.
But now I'm gonna go to the other extreme, when this Connecticut house that I fixed and then had all this water damage, now it's getting fixed, now I'm like out in the middle of nowhere.
I mean, I drive down the street, and it's like, there's signs like, free eggs.So I could easily fall into that other clueless category. So I'm like, LA, like, it's just looks like it's all dog-eat-dog.
And then out here, it's just, yeah, you're just out in nature. your neighbors give you free eggs.So yeah, just bear with me and be patient with me.Definitely don't want to fall into that Hollywood category of
My God, they are clueless about how people are living and how hard it is.As much as they, they, they're codependent and empathetic and I think there's just so much, they make so much money in such an easy way.
And that there's a lot of guilt plus artists tend to, they're sensitive so they lean more toward whatever party is going to help or seems like it's going to help.
But, oh, if I could just name drop some stories, because a friend of mine produces a show with a bunch of celebrities, and what these people say, what they're like behind the scenes, it's like, oh my goodness.Anyway, I digress.
I want to take a break. When we come back, I want to talk about, I don't even know what the stance would be, but I've had to become who I'm not these last few weeks.
which has definitely brought me some self-shame but also was necessary but also I don't like it but I don't know goes back to a story in the carny business and you might relate to it and it might be helpful to you yeah and those times where you have to be someone you are not okay all that and more on this lonely guy edition of regular guy Friday

Solitary Man on this RDF Lonely Guy edition. The Lonely Guy Fridays. Little Neil Sadaka. No, I know it's Neil Diamond.I'm just having fun.
See, until you can find you,
Someone who stays with you, won't play games behind you.Be what you are.Solitary man, anyway.Already digressing.
It's a part two of this edition of Lonely Night.By the way, shout out to Natasha and Kelsey for holding down the fort. They've been doing great. And I hope we'll be back together again shortly. As we say in Boston, hopefully.
Hopefully we'll all be together. We'll figure this out, whatever coast any of us are on.Yeah, we'll get it down. And listen, side note, a lot of requests have been coming in for, God, I don't even know the name of our Christmas podcast.
Christmas specials we love.I believe we will be resuming I think we're a little late in the game.I've already said Narcos, Christmas is almost over.Sorry if I can't get my, I'm on my antique Apple. This thing is like a box.
I can't, I'm lucky it's even working.Needless to say, needless to say.But yeah, I've been joking with Maria that yeah, Christmas is just about over and we blew it.The tree is not up. We are in chaos.
Maria is so much stress around the baby, and the move-in, and everything else, and the dirt, and the dust, and unfinished things.Yeah, we're just letting the holidays pass us by.I'm very disheartened.
So, I'm going to see if I can save Christmas this weekend. tomorrow. It's time to get some of this stuff put up.I will say this also shout out November 16th, Maria Menonos, hello, and our production company, We Heart Holidays.
Not only do we have our first film coming out on Lifetime, our film is so good and Maria is so good. How good is she?She is so good that she is leading off and our company is leading off the Lifetime slate of films. November 16th.
So that begins all the new Lifetime movies. And guess what, we start the whole thing going, which is really an honor. And very cool.I'm super proud of Maria.
My goodness, there's a clip where Michael Jordan's like he shrugs his shoulders as he's backpedaling up the court.I think I know Steve the Steamer would know the clip. But or I think of Shaq like, you know, like stuffing the basketball
looking like a giant amongst men, amongst children.I mean, and after that he just goes into his Shaq Fu and Jordan does one of his miraculous plays and he just kind of shrugs his shoulders like, I don't know why I'm so good.
When I think of that, I think of Maria. You know, she's got a million things going on.She gets on the set.You know, she just, okay, I'll do Christmas movies.Just does it.
And you know, Maria's just backpedaling like Jordan shrugging her shoulders like, I don't know. And then I see, I've just for years seen all these hosts, the four things just, you know, studying copy and pacing around and I need to own this.
I need to own this. And by the way, some of the biggest A-list stars you can imagine. And I can barely get Maria to look at things once. She's like, no, no, no, I got it.I mean, so just very, very blessed in that way, but super excited about that.
So hopefully, you know, we can save Christmas with that.I mean, it's late in the game.Christmas is practically over by November 16th, let's face it.We blew the whole holiday season. Anyway, but yeah, Christmas specials we love.
I'll be talking to Anne and the team and we'll start dropping some of those, have a few laughs.I'm kind of excited, you know, I'm hoping to be on the East Coast more because you guys just do it right here.
You know, we've done our best out in LA where LA has gotten colder and colder every winter. It's made it feel a little more festive. And we've got our candy cane laying out there. You know, it's not much, but it's something.
but you guys do it right here.So I really want to take Athena to Santa's village deep up in New Hampshire. This place has been around since the fifties and apparently they haven't updated at all.And I'm like, Oh my God, I'm so in, I so want to go.
Uh, I, so I'm just going to force poor Athena to, she's going to have to become a fan of all my, my madness.Um, anyway, so, uh, that being said, but going back, so, okay, so what I was,
I remember going back to the carny business, one of my mentors back then, and as I've said before, there weren't many, and the ones that were there were slim pickings, so they were all mobsters and ex-cons.
That's all I have, but some of them took an interest in me because I feel like they knew that I didn't belong in that world, that I wasn't gonna last in that world long.I don't know, maybe I just gave them hope.
But one of the guys, Billy, he was the best out of all of them.He was what you would consider, if you saw the movie Goodfellas, he was a good fella.
He wasn't a made guy, but he was always doing business with all of them, and very respected, and had his own team. And formidable, for sure. But he really took an interest in me.
And I'll never forget, you know, I remember just snapping on somebody back then. And it was, you know, because you just were getting screwed with so much.
If the people you work with weren't screwing you out of money, the junkies working next to you were playing head games with you.
stealing, I mean, it was just a, you know, and you were just tired and stressed and, you know, and I wasn't, well, I wasn't really built for that world.I'm glad I went through it because I learned, but I wasn't built for that.
And I remember one time I just, I remember just losing my temper on somebody.
And I remember just feeling really bad afterwards because I was embarrassed and, you know, and then I felt bad because I went too far and, you know, and Billy was like, listen to me. This is what happens. And so we used to talk.
They turn you into the asshole that you're not. And, you know, and he was like, basically he said, he goes, they'll do that to you.And then sometimes, and I was like, yeah, but you know, I have the choice to resist it.Yeah, you do.
But sometimes it's, it's the only kind of communication these guys understand. That's it. It's just certain people, it's just how it is, Kevin. Some of them only understand a two-by-four over the side of the head, or worse.
In my naive days, I'm like, you know, actually, I know you're saying that, Billy, but that's not true.I think everyone can be reasoned with, and since I've gotten older, I realize some people, it is just, it's sadly a two-by-four to the head.
Oh, it's been a life. Anyway, so he, but you know, it always sits with me.So here I am.God, the contract doesn't work.I should probably listen to the show. But I've just been jerked around a lot on this thing.
And it's just hard because I know this business and I know it well. And from go, I mean, two years ago, or two months into two years ago, when we were being jerked around, I kind of knew what was going on.
And said, listen, guys, I don't know what's gonna happen with this election. But the first election, it was, you know, a block away from my house was, you know, 30,000 angry people smashing windows, lighting fires.
And I had a mother-in-law in bed with a dying of brain cancer who could not be moved in a hospital bed.My 70, whatever, my 75-year-old father-in-law and Maria and the dogs. What could I do?I was helpless.
And following the advice given me by the great Mr. Bob Backlund, in regards to his maneuver, the chicken wing, this very deadly maneuver, it will dislocate your shoulder in a matter of seconds.
And I've said this to you before, and I talked about it in part one, but he said to me, he said, the best defense against the chicken wing, Kevin, is just don't get put in it, because once you're in it, you're done.
And so I remember just saying, I'm not getting put in the chicken wing again.I'm not going to be in this house whatever side wins, you know, the other side, you know, it could very well go and do this.I'm not going to be part of it.
And I'm not gonna have my baby and my wife or Violetta or anyone I love exposed to this again. So I told these guys, I'm like, and I unfortunately have a crystal brain. So I can see at least that you guys aren't going to do what you're supposed to do.
And I know it.So I have to stay on.Oh, no, no, you're wrong. And so two weeks ago, the place is just not finished and it's still construction going on.Now it's different if you're putting on cabinet handles.Okay.Maybe installing a couple of lights.
Okay. It's still construction. And what that is dirt, dust, debris and chaos. And the last thing you want to do is you don't want to move your stuff in during construction because now the stuff's going to get ruined and crushed or whatever. And so, um,
I knew it was going to happen. And so when it did, I had no choice.I have to go back and do what I don't want to do, which is put on my tool belt and go to work.I don't want to have to do this, but what am I going to do?
I got to get you guys out of here. And so it was back to the mold infested motel. And Maria's like, wait, how come you didn't pack anything?I go, man, I'm going to war. What am I packing? And I always tell you guys, pay for convenience.
Just went to the Walmart. It's like, okay, let's say I'll take 10, this package of 10 Fruit of the Loom t-shirts.I'll take this package of 10 Fruit of the Loom underwear, some package of socks, and then we'll go to the travel size area of,
deodorants and everything else, you know little travels little tiny things and we're gonna throw it in a Ziploc bag and well, that's and you know, I have a lot of Bags here in the carny business. We would joke bags were called satchels.
So I had a bunch of old satchels here in the trunk of one of my cars because that's like was the last vestige of anything that I could keep safe during this major rehaul of this house and rehab of the house was the trunk.
So in the trunk I had, you know, a satchel. And I just filled it up, had a couple of pair of work pants, and basically there was like a laundry machine at the place that I worked. So, you know, every three nights I would just do laundry.
And I'm like, I'm going to war.So two belt was on.I just had like, you know, caffeinate and go.And, um, 15, 16, 17 hours a day of just, you know, doing work and unloading and doing work and unloading and throwing things away.
And like, I'm not kidding.Five, we're on an actually dumpster five, maybe six full, like I'm talking like the long, you know, 40 or 50 foot dumpsters. And, uh, you know, just note to,
people, like, I, I get, again, I see this with a lot of guys, and I'll just have speech for my own gender, but guys just have a way of just not taking responsibility and easily making it about them and becoming the victim.
And so these guys I was working with, like, oh, my God, I haven't slept, and they're just a police one.
I just want to get this, I'm going to get this job done, and then you're not going to see me for, you know, if I work with you, in the future, it's going to be, you know, later, because I need a break, and I'm dying to,
It's all I can stans, I can't stans no more. And so, they bent me, and they bent me, and they broke me.And I finally just snapped.
And it wasn't just once or several, and then it was between that, the guy, them starting to play victim, when it should have been, I'm so sorry, we put you in this position, we're gonna do everything to fix it.It was, ugh, okay, what do you need now?
Oh my God, I just wanna get this job.Like, no, no, no, you don't get that. And then it's like, and then,
Then a couple of workers, I swear we're like straight out of the carny business, goes like, yeah, no, whatever you need, bro, whatever you need, bro, whatever you need.I'm like, I need you to move this there to there.Okay, great.
And then it's like, wait, why didn't you move it?Oh, well, because, you know, the painting in that room and did it besides it.I'm like, don't improvise and just games and games. And finally I just snapped.
And actually when you think it would just be once, it's probably like three times during the process. And, uh, I didn't hit anybody, but I did say, I'm gonna knock you out to one of them, the one that was just a smart ass.
I'm like, I'm just gonna, how is it like that? He's like, wait, are you serious?I'm like, yeah, I'm serious.Go, go.Not proud of this.I'm 90 years old, by the way.But I went back in my head to Billy Bono.
Sometimes, Kev, you know, they turn you into the asshole you're not.And sometimes it's necessary, but I hate it. And it was necessary because in one of my snappings, I was like, you're not the victim.I'm supposed to be the client.
Why am I now the general contractor, not even in the labor?I'm working circles around your guys. You've got six guys here. They're all standing around. It's not supposed to be like this. And I'm like, stop with how this affects you.
I don't want to hear it. And so, you know, anyway, like I said, I'm abbreviating, I'm softening. It wasn't pretty and I didn't feel good about it.And the last time I did it, which was two days ago, I felt really bad.
And I want to reach out to the one, the actual one guy who was like, I want to fix this.Like they keep bringing new people. And it was like, I really want to fix this.I feel bad.And so, you know, um, I felt really bad because of my, I reacted.
And so I was like, God, I want to apologize. But then it's like, I'm shooting it with, unfortunately, I'm showing now weakness to make them think they can take advantage. So I kind of just had to bite my tongue.
And then the next day, I just was like, hey, I just was, to be really transparent, I was supposed to be on Kelly and Mark with Maria. In our business, those opportunities don't come every day, especially to a regular guy like me.
I had to give that up.That, plus them playing games, not finishing.Anyway, I just said, listen up.Then I had something super important with AW, the company Mercedes works for, with the owner. Like, I cannot miss this.
And I said, you know, you not only have me as your employee, but I'm also now falling behind in my means of paying for this. And so, you know, it was kind of like, okay, well, at least he knew where I was coming from.
But I think, you know, I don't, I think sometimes you have to become the asshole you're not.And unfortunately, sometimes that's all a certain type of mentality understands. And so, but it was very interesting.
So when I went to meet with AEW, they're really a great company. They knew it was a far ride. It's up in Manchester, New Hampshire from Connectix. They sent me a driver.
And so there's the driver in a suit standing at attention, you know, in front of the limo, the SUV.And, you know, all these guys have seen of me is my Fruit of the Loom shirts, covered in dirt and dust, and the tool belt and the old work boots.
And now they see me coming out as my friend Joe, my brother Joe would say, a fancy lad.Now I'm dressed as a fancy lad. And they were just like, their faces were in shock.Wait, wait, is that the same guy?I'm shaving. My hair's fixed.
And I'm going off to take this meeting. But Marie said, no, Kevin, that was good.Because again, that's the same mentality. They needed to see that. They needed to see how bad you are.And they also needed to see who you really are.
And it's just sad that that's what it takes.Because for me, if you're just a hard worker and a straight shooter, I don't care what you do.I don't care how rich you are. I'm all in and behind you.As you can tell by the people who work for me.
If you have heart, I'm in.And I respect you.And that's it.Whether you're rich or poor, it doesn't matter to me. It's about what's in your heart. But other people aren't like that, unfortunately. So yeah, I had to show my fangs, and I didn't like it.
And I didn't feel good about it.But I say that because I think a lot of you understand that. And I think the Heel Squad, most of you are women, are more afraid to show your fangs and probably even more ashamed than I am.And I just say, don't be.
Don't be ashamed. And unfortunately, sometimes you have to. And hopefully, hopefully that makes sense. And, you know, I'll tell you, I'm going to finish today's show with this song. It's an obscure David Bowie song.Beautiful man, David Bowie.
of Drummer Boy with Bing Crosby, and I've said that before, but he has a song called Conversation Piece that he recorded originally in the 70s, and it's, the recording in the 70s is great, but he re-recorded it in the early 2000s.
It's interesting, you know, what an artist goes through on their journey.Roger Daltrey, same thing, I've been playing some of his music. He did a solo album in the early 70s, and yet, he's starting to, you know, play more of it now.
But in the 70s, it wasn't received well. They were like, wow, this isn't adultery. This is a left turn from who you are.
But I think when you age and you mellow out and you go on the journey, most of us, it's why you can't judge people by what they did in the past, because often they just need to age out of a lot of stuff. But I feel like Bowie goes back to this song.
because it probably meant more to him in his later years, maybe when he was sick, than it did when he was younger.
And I see the adultery analysis, I've said that with even the lead singer of the Grateful Dead, Jerry Garcia, with the song, So Many Roads.
He did an album, So Many Roads, but as I can see, he only has a live version of that song, but the song really kind of sums up where he was at mentally in his life at the end.So when Athena, it's interesting, when Athena cries,
I've been playing this song, and of this probably about 15 songs, that she has heard, poor thing, every morning, changing her diapers, every morning since she was three months. But man, this one song, this is her favorite, and it never fails.
When she hears it, she just, just, just is like mesmerized. She loves it.So we'll go on with this.Okay you guys, so, what have we learned in summer?
Probably not much. However, we are coming upon Thanksgiving. All right, it's coming fast. For holiday season, kids, we are in, I forget what I think.I forget what I think.Halloween is pre-season.Then I think regular season is through Thanksgiving.
And then somewhere, we hit the playoffs.Probably the last week of Christmas. The week before Christmas, I think we hit the playoffs.Anyway, so.We're entering the regular season now, kids. So, you know what?
Go to your, well, I guess you can still see the foliage here in some places, but I don't know.I'm a little disappointed, too.And we wanted to go see the NBC stream in New York, and, you know, not up until after Thanksgiving.
We're coming out there, we're gonna have to pull some strings here. I love all of you.Thank you for your patience as I've been away. And hopefully be back next week to hit the home team.
In the meantime, I was gonna say make good choices, be nice people, but no.Let's try to remember who we are.Help each other, learn from mistakes, have a few laughs along the way.
