In today's episode, I'm going to share with you a topical treatment that's been traditionally used as a vaginal cream, which is now being applied to the face, to the under eyes, to the back of the skin, on our hands.
and our neck and producing insane results.I've been using it myself for 90 days and today I'm going to share with you my results.
What I think of this product, where you can find it, the safety and efficacy as well as some of the studies and research that I think you need to know about so that you can make an informed decision.
I'm also going to share with you my new skincare routine, which is really scaled back.I'm not using nearly as many products, and I'm going to share with you all of that, as well as my results.
If you're listening to this episode on your favorite podcasting app, be sure to head over to my social media, because I'll post a picture up on my Instagram of my before and after too, and you can decide for yourself if there's been a significant change.
I think there has, but I'll let you be the judge. Thanks for joining me here today on The Shalene Show.I am excited to talk about this topic. It's one that I learned of from listening to an episode of You Are Not Broken with Dr. Kelly Kasperson.
She was interviewing another doctor, Dr. Ellen Gendler. And they were speaking specifically about the role of estrogen in our bodies.
They talked about why it is so often when estrogen begins to decline, the role that estrogen plays in our bodies in terms of our hair, our collagen production, our skin, and our appearance, and why so many women
You know, you hit like your mid 40s and you're like overnight you feel like you look older. In that episode, she discussed how she had been using, Dr. Ellen had been using vaginal estrogen cream on her face for years and swore by it.
So then they kind of went into the science behind it.I started looking into some of the research myself. And just last month, a brand new study was produced that I just think lends even more credibility to this practice.
First, I think it's really important to understand how estrogen affects our body, and more specifically, what happens when estrogen begins to decline. So when we're in our late 20s, early teens, estrogen is really high.
It's responsible for our fertility, our menstrual cycle. It's what makes the skin look full and plump and radiant. As we enter into our 30s, late 30s, early 40s, estrogen begins to take a dip.
And of course, this is a period that a lot of women experience perimenopause. So your estrogen levels can kind of be like a roller coaster ride.
You probably remember in that stage of your life, waking up and one days you're like, oh my gosh, I'm having such a good face day.And then other days you're like, why do I look so ugly?Do you remember those days?
By the way, if you are a perimenopausal menopausal woman who's trying to figure out like how to know what's the best diet for you and,
and how to change your body composition, like how to start strength training and what type of workouts you should be doing at this phase in your life and how to find the best care provider when it comes to your hormone health and so much more.
If you want like meal plans and you just want to help with all of this, I've created a program called Phase It. And Fazit members get all of my workouts when you become an annual member, which is less than $8.50 a month.
Like it's the most affordable spot on the internet. And by the way, don't hold me to that price because we will be increasing our prices soon.
So if you want to take advantage of that price, be sure to click the link that I'll put below this episode, and you can learn more about Faze It there.I would love to take care of you.
I would love to help you change your physique, figure out how to live vivaciously, how to age with power, how to continue to feel young even longer. So check out Faze It at fazedup.com, and you'll find that link below in our show notes.
And then when we reach our late 40s, early 50s, we're really seeing a significant decline in estrogen. So by the time we hit our late 40s, early 50s, and you're likely entering into menopause, I mean, estrogen is out the door. It's interesting.
I don't know if you've ever felt this way.I have.Where you just wake up one day and you're like, wait a second, how did I just get like five years older overnight? And you wonder like, is this in my mind?Is it something that I've done?
Well, interestingly enough, there are studies that show it's not in your head, girl. It's a legitimate thing.
We age like physically, not number wise, like our appearance, we have major dips in our appearance around just before age 45 and just around the late 50s.And that is due in large part to these dramatic dips in our estrogen.
When our estrogen dips, we produce less collagen. In the first five years of menopause, your collagen production drops 30%.That's insane.
And your collagen is what is responsible for your skin's fullness, for your skin's thickness, for the elasticity that we experience, for that youthful appearance. Collagen is what makes skin firm.
So as you're losing this collagen, it's not in your mind that you're like, is my skin changing?I specifically remember looking down at my, I was like putting lotion on my thighs and I remember thinking to myself, like whose skin is this?
This is like maybe four or five years ago, maybe three years ago.I remember like being in my bathroom and going, did this happen overnight? That's when I discovered castor oil. Now, I'm still a huge fan of castor oil, and castor oil is amazing.
It is really thick. It is very, well, it holds all the moisture in.I love castor oil for that reason, and I've done a whole bunch of videos and episodes about castor oil. It's got a learning curve. Not everyone loves it, but I bathe in it.
But despite that, castor oil is never going to make my skin thicker.Castor oil is not going to produce more collagen. what I need to produce more collagen is estrogen.
So for those of you who are doing some type of hormone replacement therapy, maybe you're doing a sublingual estrogen, like you're taking it orally. If you're taking an oral estrogen, that is in fact going to boost your collagen.
It is going to replenish those things that you otherwise would be losing. And I've done a whole bunch of episodes. You know, I don't want to like talk about this in every single episode, but maybe I should. And that is like the science
Ladies, we've got to spread the word. You've got to send this to your friends.
Anytime you get together with your girlfriends, start talking about hormones and how the new research is showing us that we're going to live longer and we have a much lower risk of getting cancer, all types of cancer, of dying of any type of preventable disease.
we can get on hormone replacement therapy earlier instead of later, and it's not too late to consider certain forms of hormone replacement therapy, it's going to give you stronger bones, it's going to give you a better heart, a better brain, all the things.
And so if you're concerned with longevity, you should be considering hormone replacement therapy. And for a lot of us, you know, what's going on the inside is great, but It's the outside sometimes that like puts us in a good mood.
You know what I'm saying?Like call me shallow.I don't care.I am.I care about my appearance.I like looking young because I feel young and I want the inside to match the outside. So shoot me.
I care about the way that my skin looks and I'm in a better mood when I'm having a good skin day. Ladies, the more research I do on collagen, the more I realize it just needs to be a must.
We've got to supplement with collagen, well, especially if you care about the texture and the tone of your skin, the way your hair grows, your nails, and all of these things become like an issue once we're over 40, and it just feels like it goes downhill from there, which is why it is so important that you supplement with collagen.
It's what the body uses for your joints, your muscles, your organs. It's how you can support your gut health, your metabolism, your cardiovascular health, your immune system, and so much more.I have been getting mine from Organifi.
Obviously, you know, I love Organifi.I get their Pure for my brain health.I take Immunity for my immune system. And as a listener of The Shaleen Show, you get 20% off when you go to organifi.com forward slash Shaleen.
Use code Shaleen, that gives you another 20% off at checkout. That is O-R-G-A-N-I-F-I.com forward slash Shaleen.Use code Shaleen for 20% off.Listen, get yourself some collagen.Make that a regular thing.
I just mix all three of those things in my water bottle every single morning and a few other supplements as well. And we love that Organifi is 100% certified organic. It's a great company with great products.Check them out.
Again, Organifi.com forward slash Shaleen. And so when I started looking at the research behind collagen, I'm like, well, I'm taking an estrogen supplement. And I checked with my practitioner, and she's like, yeah, no, your estrogen levels are great.
And I'm like, so then would it benefit me to use estrogen cream on my face? And why is it I would need that if my estrogen levels systemically are fine? And here's what I learned. When we apply estrogen cream topically,
So whether that's a patch or a cream, it affects the area where it's applied.
And that is why some women, when their estrogen declines, even if they're doing a hormone therapy, they may still experience dryness and thinning of the skin in the vaginal area, which is going to result in very painful, uncomfortable sex.
You know, dryness and thinning of the tissues, and the tissues actually become How do I say this?Less plump, I guess is the best way to put it, like less full, like sagging.Sagging skin is the result of low collagen and low estrogen.
So when we add estrogen topically to the vaginal area, it keeps things plump and moist. and firm, and it makes the skin thicker. Now, the vaginal mucosis, I hate the word mucosis.Did I just say the word mucosis?Excuse me while I go throw up.
Like I can say vaginal, but like mucosis, that word.Anyways, that area, the skin is much thinner and much more fragile, much more sensitive, obviously, than other areas.
So imagine if we're putting estrogen cream in other places, and this is what people were trying to figure out.
And probably by accident, before we actually had official studies, I'm sure people were like, hey, if this stuff works down there, why don't I just try it up here? And that's what happened.
And what they discovered is, yeah, this stuff, wherever you applied it topically, it would improve the appearance of the skin substantially. In one of the studies, which I will link to below,
People who applied the topical treatment of the estrogen cream for 12 weeks saw an 80, the women reported an 88% improvement. What? 88%? Sign me up.
In 2019, a study published by the International Journal of Women's Dermatology, researchers found that estrogen deficient skin showed a sharp decline in collagen production, hydration, and the ability to heal quickly.
Now, you may have noticed if you're over 40, like you can get a wound or maybe you have an incision and you're like, I just am not healing as fast as I once did.I noticed that myself.
I had a surgery last year and I was like, I can't believe how much slower my skin is healing compared to how fast it used to recover. In 2023, a systematic review published in the
Journal of Menopausal Medicine showed that estrogen treatment in the form of creams, topical creams, help to restore collagen, elasticity, reduce the appearance of wrinkles, and significantly improve the overall appearance of skin.
Okay, so maybe you already have estrogen cream that you've been using for the vaginal area, and you're thinking, like, can I just apply this to my face?Well, hold on. I'm certainly not your doctor.I'm not your practitioner.I'm not your clinician.
So I can't give you the go ahead for that. But I can tell you a little bit more about the types of creams that we found to be most beneficial for the face.
And I'll tell you about the cream that I've been using and talk to you about like how to get this stuff. Because when I first heard this interview with Dr. Kelly, I was like, I right away went straight to Amazon, which I always tell you not to do.
But of course, I was I was leaving for Europe. So I'm like, I have to get my hands on this stuff.
Like right now, because I want a younger face, I would like literally, part of my, like, eye opening experience while I was in Europe was I felt like my face was getting like, overnight, it felt old.I'll talk about that in a minute.
But like, part of what I decided to do was the estrogen cream. It's also one of the reasons why I decided to give up alcohols because I was reading the research on like what that does to your skin and the aging process.
And like for vanity reasons, I'm like, maybe like this will help me to look younger. And that was the main reason why I gave up drinking alcohol at first.Anyways,
Before I go into that, let's talk about the different types of estrogen cream you could be using on your face.So estrogen is a group of hormones. So there's esterone, there's estradiol, and there's estriol.
Now, all of them are a little bit different, and we produce them at different times in our life, and they serve different purposes. But typically and traditionally, it is estradiol that is used as a vaginal cream in a 0.01% application.
You do need to have that prescribed by your practitioner. Now, if you don't have a practitioner in your area or someone that you have access to who is specifically trained and specializes in women's hormone health, find somebody.
find someone who's up to date, someone who will actually listen. And frankly, it is my hope that that changes soon. There are some alternatives. One that I recommend all the time is MidiHealth.MidiHealth is a telehealth company. It is the company.
And the reason why I've asked them to, I asked if they would be a show sponsor for the Shalene show is because of this experience. I couldn't get into my traditional hormone doctor who I love, by the way, but I do pay for her all out of pocket.
And I couldn't get into her before our trip to Europe. So I was trying to find a telehealth company that I could get into very quickly.I heard Dr. Kelly Casperson and Dr. Mary Claire Haver talking about this company.
So I'm like, all right, it's reputable.I called them.I got the cream sent to me and I did a 90 day supply. So I'm going to share with you my results after 90 days, but again, back to the types of creams used on the face.
Estradiol tends to be a, it's, it's considered a stronger estrogen. There's also Estriol.Estriol is a a less potent estrogen. So some people feel like that's a safer estrogen to apply topically if
You're someone who's worried about your systemic, meaning like your whole body, estrogen levels increasing.
What we do know, based on these recent studies, is that when they study participants who are applying the estrogen cream and they're measuring their estrogen levels before and after, as well as women who are not using the cream, what they found in these studies is that it does not produce a notable increase in estrogen levels.
In other words, what they're saying is, you apply it to your face or apply it anywhere topically, it affects the area where you're applying it and it doesn't go into the bloodstream and pass through the liver.
In fact, the form of estrogen known as estriol, the weaker form of estrogen, is considered to be the safer form for anyone who's, you know, really concerned about increasing their systemic estrogen levels.Again,
You know, I want you to do your research.I am not the expert, but I want to share with you the research links. And so they will be below in my show notes. So you can go to those research papers. You can print them out yourself.
You can review them yourself. You can put them into chat GPT and ask chat GPT to do a summary for you.
And you can bring that to your healthcare provider and offer that as like, okay, I feel good about this and have a conversation with your provider about this.
I know for me, when I started using this cream, I started noticing a significant difference probably within about three weeks. However, to be completely transparent, I do think, I do see major changes in my face and my skin.I do.
I don't know if you do, but I will say it's quite possible that is a combination of both the cream and the fact that I stopped drinking alcohol.Like, you know, I did them both at the same time, so it's hard to say.
I think probably both things helped. But if you take a look at the before and after photos of people and the notations from the studies of people's skin and the appearance, it seems to make a huge difference. And why wouldn't it?
It naturally improves the thickness, the firmness, and your body's ability to hold moisture.Okay, now let's talk about cost. The cost for estrogen cream is really low, which is fantastic. And it's super affordable, especially when you're looking at
The fact that most high-end facial creams, I mean, you can spend $120 for one-month supply, which is kind of crazy. When the estrogen cream, you can get anywhere from $30 to maybe $40 for a one-month supply.
I did a 30-day supply and the one that I got, this one is a compounded version. So it's not just the estradiol. No, sorry, this is estriol as well as hyaluronic acid and DMEA.So it has all three of those components.
all of which improve the appearance of your skin.So I mean, this is kind of like three products in one. It's not just the Estreal, Estreal, but I'm really happy with the results.I am interested in just trying the extra dial.
So I am going to look into doing that for my next 90 day supply.Again, I use mine through MIDI health. I'll post a link to them below in our show notes.
Now, if you're not familiar with MidiHealth, this is a company that was founded by women and they specifically specialize in women's health. It has been a very long time since I've been this excited to tell you about something.
Forever, I've been getting comments from my community like, okay, Shaleen, how do I find a clinician to help me with my hormones?Like, I can't get anyone to listen to me.
And it's been very frustrating because until recently, there hasn't been a solution.Enter MIDI.MIDI is our show sponsor today.MIDI Health, founded by women. This is a telehealth company.
The clinicians are all specialized in perimenopause and menopause treatment. They're going to listen to you. They actually know what they're talking about, and it's super affordable, and they accept insurance.
That means no matter where you are, even if you live in a very rural area, you can work with Mideas clinicians. They're actually going to listen to you. They're actually trained in perimenopause and menopause on women's hormones and health.
I've used MIDI myself.I recently got estrogen cream for under my eyes and I can't wait to look like a newborn baby.My staff is using MIDI and several of my best friends I've recommended to MIDI.Check them out.
Go to shaleen.com forward slash MIDI, M-I-D-I. The link will be in our show description, but just in case it's my name chalene.com forward slash MIDI.That way they'll know that I sent you and I'm so excited for you to try this.
So when you get on the call with your clinician, first of all, take the time to fill out the questionnaires.
Even just filling out the questionnaires, you're going to realize like, oh, wow, there's so many things I didn't think about that could be related to my hormones.
And I always recommend before you do a doctor's appointment or meet with a new clinician, a healthcare provider of any kind, come prepared.Have a list of questions. Go back through your own notes to see what symptoms you've been experiencing.
Ask your significant other, like, have I complained about anything weird happening?Because sometimes we forget. And you sit down in front of somebody with a white lab coat on, and you're like, I can't remember why I'm here and if I have any issues.
So take some time and prepare in advance. But when you meet with your MIDI clinician, you're going to find that they will actually Listen, and they're going to take the time to follow your lead.
So if there's something in particular, they're not necessarily going to recommend this to you, or anything for that matter, you need to be your own advocate.
So know what it is you want, know what it is you're looking for, know what it is, what symptoms you want to address. talk to them about different things that you've been hearing about that you would like to try.
You know, even if you're considering weight loss, like I know a lot of people are very interested in peptides for weight loss, whether it's a GLP-1 or doing a different type of peptide that could help with inflammation.
it is important that you have your questions well researched and written down before you meet with your clinician.I think you're going to have a great time with your MIDI clinician.
And I think this is a wonderful solution for those of you who are like, I can't find somebody in my area number one, or if I found someone, They don't take insurance.
And I'm not saying that Midi takes all insurance because I've heard this a few people said like, oh, they didn't take my kind of, but they take most insurance and they're in all 50 states. So I highly recommend them.So back to the skincare that I use.
This is what I tried.Next time I'm going to try just the straight estradiol and see if I see a difference. This is by prescription only.So you will need to work with a healthcare provider in order to get it.
Now I want to share with you my current skincare routine because I have scaled it way back. And I started scaling it way back after the interview that I did with Dr. Anthony Yoon.
And if you're watching on YouTube, I'll link to that so you can watch it because it was phenomenal. He is, well, he's everybody's favorite. And I think part of the reason why is he's from Michigan. and the nicest people are from Michigan.
It's called Midwest Nice.So here's my skincare routine now.I use a cleanser in the morning and at night. This is a gentle cleanser. And in fact, this is Dr. Yoon's cleanser. And I will tell you what I told him.
I said, Anthony, this is a bad business decision for you.He said, why?I said, because I've had this now for six months and I still have like, this is going to last me a year and the prices are great. So shout out to Anthony Yoon.
I love this particular cleanser. So I use this in the morning and at night.Okay.Then after I use that in the morning, I just put on a vitamin C serum.
Your vitamin C serum, it's really important that it's in a dark glass container so that you don't compromise the effectiveness of it.After that, I put on some estrogen cream on my face and just a little bit, a tiny little bit of castor oil.
I love castor oil.Not everybody loves it.I love it, love it, love it.I love the smell of it.I love the feel of it.I love how it holds the moisture in, nothing
has helped my overall skin dryness the way, because I'm not dousing my whole body in this estrogen cream, although I'm wondering, like, why don't we just do a full body cream of this?Maybe that's down the road.I don't know. Why aren't we doing that?
Anyways, right now, it's just on my face, my hands, back of my hands, and my neck. But this stuff, I sleep in it.Like, I douse myself in this. But don't forget, castor oil has a learning curve. It is very thick.
It takes a lot longer to absorb into your skin. and it doesn't clog the pores. So it's wonderful if you're someone who's like worrying about breaking out.Usually people don't have any problems with breaking out with it.
I'm just a huge fan of the castor oil, but I use just the tiniest little bit on my face and that's my morning routine. That's it.At night, I cleanse my face again.
I don't put on the vitamin C. I just put on a little bit of this and I use a little bit of castor oil and I use the castor oil at night to do my lymphatic face massage, which I believe
helps to reduce inflammation, but nothing helps to reduce facial inflammation like removing toxins. The worst thing you can do for your skin is smoke. You know that, right?Listen, I was once a hostess at the Forest Hills Inn in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
I was a hostess. And back then, people smoked in the restaurants. And someone could be walking towards the hostess stand, and I didn't even have to say smoking or non-smoking.
I could look at them, and I knew if they needed a smoking section just by looking at their skin.Because smoking, it changes the appearance of your skin. You can look side by side at twins. They do these studies all the time where you show twins.
You know, one person's a smoker and one person who's not.It ages your skin. It creates free radicals.By the way, speaking of free radicals, what are free radicals?Sounds like a radical group.
Free radicals are basically the byproducts of the toxins and other things that we consume, and they're the byproducts that create DNA damage. It's the things that damage our cells. And our bodies are built to fight off these free radicals.
Estrogen fights off these free radicals, except when estrogen leaves the building, in which case, you might need to supplement so you've got something to fight off those free radicals.
The other thing that is absolutely a killer for your skin that makes you look older is alcohol.I know you don't want to hear that.I didn't want to hear it either. But like, you know, I'm not suggesting that you need to quit drinking.
Someone said to me the other day, like, why are you so anti-drinking now?I'm like, I'm not anti-drinking.Like, drink all you want.Just make sure you're informed.
The problem for me is that I'd heard it, but I really wasn't listening to the fact that alcohol is a class one carcinogen. It's as bad as asbestos.Like, it's a class one carcinogen.
And it's crazy to me how many women are terrified of doing hormone replacement therapy because they're like, I don't want to get cancer.I don't want to increase my risk of cancer.I'm like, have you looked at the research?
You're increasing your risk of cancer based on today's research if you're not supplementing your hormones. and you're significantly increasing your risk of eight different types of cancer if you're consuming alcohol. So drink all you want.
Just make sure you're, I just want people to do it in a way that they're informed. Please continue to drink responsibly, but just remember, it is aging you.It is making your skin look saggier. It is taking dehydration or hydration out of your skin.
It is depleting. your body's ability to absorb nutrients. So it is creating these nutrient deficiencies.
I mean, there's no health benefits to it, but like if it's fun for you and you know all these things and you're like, I don't care with them, that's cool.I love you and I support whatever decision you decide is best for you.
But when it comes to the safety of using estrogen creams topically, I want you to know that studies published in the Women's Journal of Dermatology suggested that topical estrogen creams are safe for most all women, including those
with a history of breast cancer.Having said that, obviously, it's really important that you speak to your healthcare practitioner and find out if it's right for you. Now, if you're someone who's, you know, under 40, do you need to use estrogen cream?
Do you need to do preventative Botox?I think that's so dumb.Preventative Botox. That is such a gimmick, in my opinion.Like, really?Huh?That doesn't even make sense. Like, and trust me, I love Botox, but like preventive Botox, I don't get it.
And if you're in your 20s and, you know, late teens, 20s, early 30s, you probably don't need this, but consider it when your estrogen starts to decline. One of my favorite things about traveling through Europe is just the produce.
Everything is so fresh.I know I talk about it.You hear everybody talking about like how fresh the vegetables are and the bread is so different and the food is so different. And you really wonder, is it really that much better?
I'm telling you, it freaking is.And in particular, the olive oils.
And olive oil, if you are going to buy olive oil here in the United States, just remember this, the fresher the better because olives are actually a fruit and olive oil is actually, believe it or not, a fruit juice.
So just like any other juice, olive oil needs to be packaged, bottled at its peak of flavor and the potency of it is maintained when it's fresh pressed.
So how do you get your hands on a fresh, super fresh pressed bottle of olive oil if you don't live in Italy?
That's the problem Brett and I have been trying to solve until that is we found the Fresh Pressed Olive Oil Club, which is founded by a guy named TJ Robinson. He's basically considered like the olive oil hunter.
Anyways, it's amazing because what he does is finds the world's most amazing small farms that harvest olives and then they press the olive oil at the peak of ripeness. So the flavors, the nutrients, and everything, it's like exceptional.
You're in Italy.I'm happy to tell you they are also now a show sponsor.
And because of that, TJ is going to send you a $39 bottle of the world's finest olive oil that's just been bottled fresh, fresh from harvest, and he's going to send it to you for just a dollar. So there's no commitment to buy.
If you do decide to get an olive oil membership, you can cancel anytime.Anyways, don't take my word for it.I want you to taste the difference. It's only a dollar and you can decide for yourself.Just go to getfresh326.com.Again, it's getfresh326.com.
You'll pay a dollar for your bottle of freshly pressed olive oil.And let me just tell you this, olive oil is known to help with type 2 diabetes, certain types of cancer.
There's a lot of really great research regarding olive oil and Alzheimer's disease, obesity. It's high in antioxidants, so it's going to help with your immune system.
Olive oil is the cornerstone of the Mediterranean diet, and frankly, people consider that the healthiest diet in the world.Anyways, get your own bottle by going to GetFresh326.com for just a dollar.GetFresh326.com.
Lastly, I want to mention the role that estrogen plays in our hair growth and thickness. As you, again, start to enter perimenopause, you're probably going to notice your hair stops cooperating with you.It doesn't feel the same. It's not as thick.
In fact, you may have even noticed what they call female pattern baldness, where you start to lose your hair in certain areas. It starts to get really thin on the top and up on the sides. If you've noticed that, again, that is not in your imagination.
this is due to a decline in our hormones.Yes, testosterone, if you take too much testosterone, that can cause hair loss.If your testosterone is too low, that can cause hair loss.
If your estrogen is too high, like it's all about creating this symbiotic balance. And that's why I encourage you, if you are trying to figure out your hormones, be patient. It's not an exact science. It's kind of an art form.
And each one of us is very different. And it does, you know, taking your labs, that's important. But really, it's about your symptoms. So, you know, pay attention to your symptoms.
Even if your clinician says, oh, all your levels are fine, but you know you're still having hot flashes, or you know
you know, this is weird thing happening with your hair falling out or whatever your symptoms are, regardless of whether your labs are in the normal range or not, it does like your symptoms are what matter. So please remember to keep note of those.
And when it comes to your hair, know that as your estrogen declines, it's going to affect your hair. And there's incredible new research.I think we're going to see more and more of this.
In fact, if you want me to do a whole episode talking about the different topical treatments where we've got great studies to show that it's improving women's hair,
in their 40s and 50s and beyond, postmenopausal women seeing incredible hair regrowth with minoxidil and also topical estrogen.Again, estrogen for your hair.Again, talk to your healthcare practitioner about this.
These are things that usually have to be prescribed.I know that there's some supplements that are out there.I'm curious.I'm just going to ask.Have you tried Nutrafol?I saw everybody talking about that one.
And I took it for like a week and I got like major acne. And I think it was from that.Like anyone, anyone, anyone? But I've also heard great things about that.
I'd love to do a whole episode just on hair and some of the proven treatments and the scientific studies to back those up.You let me know if that's something you would be interested in.
