Friends and family, hoy es lunes.Today is Monday, November the 11th, 2024.We're reading from the Old Testament, Jeremiah chapter 30.The Lord has allowed us to entitle this particular episode, Hope in God.Glory, hallelujah.
Thank you, Father God, for your word this morning. You, indeed, are an awesome God. Grace and peace, my brothers and sisters. My name is RJ, and I welcome you to another episode of God is faithful and just, with all things being relational.
And God is a fantabulous God, family.Indeed, He is, He is, He is great and greatly to be praised. Oh, hallelujah. We lift them up today.God, we bless you today. We exalt you.We magnify you.
You are great and greatly to be praised, worthy of all our praise, Lord God.All that we have, all that we are, we give to you.We surrender to you, Lord God.For you designed us to be for you, to be your hand, your mouthpiece.
You, Lord Father God, in everything that you've created, you've created for your glory. So we are here, Lord.Use us as you see fit. You'll be glorified.Family, as we go into a new day, a new week, glory, hallelujah.I just want to thank you.
Thank you for giving me another opportunity to share another day with you, another devotion, A giving of and receiving of this day our daily bread from the Lord our God.
You've allowed me into that time and that space and it's an honor and it's a privilege and family. If I said it once, I say it a thousand times, I do not take it lightly.
In fact, each and every day as I'm encountering my brothers and sisters either in Christ, my direct family members, or those whom are created in the image and the likeness of God.And that's each and every individual on the face of this earth.
So as I come in contact with those whom God has placed in my sphere, I'm realizing, family, there are many that the harvest is so ripe family it's there are many during these times either here in the U.S.
the United States or across the globe that are experiencing times where they need what this title is today and that is hope
hope in God so as you encounter your brother your sister be mindful of their circumstance their story their right now there are things as we was taught on today that there are things and there are people who are hidden hidden h-i-d-d-e-n hidden in plain sight
They're right there in front of us, going through various different circumstances and situations that they're trying to hide or don't want to reveal. And we are in their presence with the hope of glory, the hope of God in the palm of our hands.
Speak to those situations, family. Yesterday we spoke about God's plan and the scripture was, I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord. There are plans for good and not disaster to give you a future and a hope.
And family, I want you to be mindful the prayer that I prayed yesterday was an example of how to use that prayer in context. And I believe the prayer was specific to someone who was listening or someone you may know.
There are some who thought I was praying the prayer specifically for me.But no, it was an example and I do believe that it was specific to someone who was either listening or someone you may know.
So be mindful, family, of those God whom's placed in your sphere of influence. Our hope is in the Holy Spirit who guides us.So as we go into this word, lean in to what the Holy Spirit is saying unto you.
Hope in God, Jeremiah chapter 30 from the New Living Translation.Promises of Deliverance. The Lord gave another message to Jeremiah. He said, This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says.
Write down for the record everything I have said to you, Jeremiah. For the time is coming when I will restore the fortunes of my people of Israel and Judah.
I will bring them home to this land that I gave to their ancestors and they will possess it again.I, the Lord, have spoken. This is the message the Lord gave concerning Israel and Judah. This is what the Lord says. I hear cries of fear.
There is terror and no peace. Now let me ask you a question.Do men give birth to babies? Then why do they stand there, ashed face, hands pressed against their sides like a woman in labor? In all history, there has never been such a time of terror.
It will be a time of trouble for my people Israel.Yet, in the end, they will be saved. For in that day, says the Lord of heaven's armies, I will break the yoke from their necks and snap their chains.
Foreigners will no longer be their masters, for my people will serve the Lord, their God, and their king descended from David, the king I will raise up for them.So do not be afraid, Jacob, my servant.
Do not be dismayed, Israel, says the Lord, for I'll bring you home again from distant lands. and your children will return from their exile.Israel will return to a life of peace and quiet and no one will terrorize them.
For I am with you and will save you, says the Lord.I will completely destroy the nations where I have scattered you but I will not completely destroy you.I will discipline you, but with justice.I cannot let you go unpunished.
This is what the Lord says. Your injury is incurable, a terrible wound. There is no one to help you or to bind up your injury. No medicine can heal you.All your lovers, your allies, have left you and do not care about you anymore.
I have wounded you cruelly as though I were your enemy, for your sins are many and your guilt is great. Why do you protest your punishment, this wound that has no cure? I have had to punish you, because your sins are many and your guilt is great.
But all who devour you will be devoured, and all your enemies will be sent into exile. All who plunder you will be plundered, and all who attack you will be attacked.I will give you back your health and heal your wounds, says the Lord.
For you are called an outcast, Jerusalem, for whom no one cares. This is what the Lord says. When I bring Israel home again from captivity and restore their fortunes Jerusalem will be built on its ruins and the palace reconstructed as before.
There will be joy and songs of thanksgiving and I will multiply my people, not diminish them.I will honor them, not despise them.Their children will prosper as they did long ago.
I will establish them as a nation before me and I will punish anyone who hurts them. They will have their own ruler again. and he will come from their own people.I will invite him to approach me, says the Lord.
For who would dare to come unless invited? You will be my people, and I will be your God.Look, the Lord's anger burst out like a storm, a driving whim that swirls down on the heads of the wicked.
The fierce anger of the Lord will not diminish until it has finished all he had planned. In the days to come, you will understand all of this.My Lord, hallelujah.Glory, hallelujah. My God, thank you, Father God, for your word this morning.Hope in God.
God is truly good, family. And there has been a lot of gloom and doom for God's people because of their disobedience. However, these last few chapters, we see that God, in his love for his creation, provides a second chance.
In fact, I've extracted a portion of scripture from the epistle to the Romans that I believe speaks to that hope in God that should be bursting out of all followers of Jesus Christ, our Lord.
This passage also speaks to sharing that hope at a time like this in a society where there is so much divide, depression, and despair, not just here in the U.S.and the United States, but also around the globe.
The scripture reads as thus, from Romans chapter 12, starting at verse 11, be enthusiastic to serve the Lord. keeping your passion toward Him boiling hot.Radiate with the glow of the Holy Spirit and let Him fill you with excitement as you serve Him.
Let this hope burst forth within you, releasing a continual joy.Don't give up in a time of trouble, but commune with God at all times.Take a constant interest in the needs of God's beloved people and respond by helping them.
and eagerly welcome people as guests into your home.Speak blessing, not cursing, over those who reject and persecute you.Celebrate with those who celebrate and weep with those who grieve.
Live happily together in a spirit of harmony and be as mindful of another's worth as you are of your own. Don't live with a lofty mindset, thinking you are too important to serve others.
But be willing to do menial tasks and identify with those who are humble-minded.Don't be smug or even think for a moment that you know it all.Never hold a grudge or try to get even, but plan your life around the noblest way to benefit others.
Do your best to live as everybody's friend. Beloved, don't be obsessed with taking revenge, but leave that to God's righteous justice. For the Scriptures say, if you don't take justice in your own hands, I will release justice for you, says the Lord.
And if your enemy is hungry, buy him lunch.Win him over with kindness. For your surprising generosity will awaken his conscience, and God will reward you with favor. Never let evil defeat you, but defeat evil with good.
Family, friends, as we go into a new season, a new era, as we coming upon the holidays here in the US, as we go in and out of our day-to-day activities.Be mindful of your brother, of your sister.
Do not forget, I implore you, do not forget why you're here.We are not here for ourselves, family. We are here to serve. to be servants like Jesus Christ was.We are here to finish the work that he has started. We are his ambassadors.
So Father God, as we come into another day, a new dawning of a new era in our day, a new season, if you will, Lord God, we are that light, and you are the source of that light, Lord God.
And it's our hope that is in you that we believe will spring forth and cause others to see as you are. They will witness the love that we have for you, for one another, and for them, whether we agree or disagree with them or not.
It is our hope, Lord Father God, to see them to recognize them, Lord God, to know them, and to love them into your kingdom, as we were taught on today. So let your will be done, Father God.
We exalt you, we magnify you, we lift you up, and we give you all honor, we give you all praise, in the mighty and magnificent name of your son, Jesus, our Lord. You be glorified today, God.Glory, hallelujah.
Family, go knowing that there is someone God has placed in your sphere of influence for you to speak life, hope, love, joy, peace, grace. And those of you who have not called upon the name of Jesus as Lord, there is no hope without him.
Call upon the name of Jesus and let us walk with you.We love you.Indeed, we do.Grace and peace be upon you.And we look forward to being with you here again on tomorrow. And in the meantime, family, be that blessing to those around you.
Glory, glory, hallelujah.
