But the Bible tells us that God knows each one of us by name and has counted every hair on our heads.Luke 12, 7.He cares about every detail of our lives, from the mundane to the monumental. Think about the story of the prodigal son in Luke 15.
The younger son squandered his inheritance and ended up living in a pig pen.But when he came to his senses and decided to return home, his father ran to meet him, embraced him, and threw a party in his honor.
The father's love and compassion for his son were not based on his worthiness, but on his deep care and concern for him. In the same way, God's love for us is not based on our performance or goodness.
It's based on his character and his desire to have a relationship with us.The Bible says that God demonstrated his love for us by sending his son, Jesus, to die on the cross for our sins, Romans 5, 8.That's how much he cares for us.
But sometimes it's hard to feel God's care when we're going through difficult times.We might feel like he's far away or that he doesn't hear our prayers.But the Bible tells us that God is always with us and that he will never leave us or forsake us.
Hebrews 13, 5. One of my favorite stories in the Bible is about the prophet Elijah.He was running for his life from King Ahab and Queen Jezebel who wanted to kill him.He was exhausted, discouraged, and alone.But God met him in his time of need.
He sent an angel to provide him with food and drink and then he spoke to him in a gentle whisper.1 Kings 19, 1, 18.God didn't shout or demand Elijah's attention.He simply cared for him in his time of need.
In the same way, God cares for us in our times of need.He might not always provide us with what we want, but he will always provide us with what we need.
He might send us a friend to talk to, a book to encourage us, or a quiet moment to hear his voice. Sometimes, we might feel like God is silent or distant, but the Bible tells us that he is always working on our behalf.
In Isaiah 49, 15, 16, God says, Can a mother forget the baby at her breast, and have no compassion on the child she has born?Though she may forget, I will not forget you.See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands.
See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands. God's care for us is not just a one-time event.It's a constant, unchanging reality.He is always with us, always for us, and always for us, and always caring for us.
So the next time you feel like you're all alone, remember that God cares for you.He knows you by name.He sees every tear you cry, and He hears every prayer you pray.Trust in His love and care for you, and watch as He transforms your life.
