Hello, America, and happy Saturday, the Saturday before one of the most consequential elections in our lifetime. This is a generational election.Whatever Americans decide on Tuesday will direct this country in a direction for a long time to come.
It is a compass-setting election.Donald Trump and Kamala Harris neck to neck.No matter who you support, get out and vote, because remember, you can't win on the sidelines of a football game. You gotta be in the game to make a difference.
Go do that today.Go be a player.Go vote. That's all you get.You can vote early. You can vote on Election Day, but whatever you do, go and vote. All right. We've got a great show for you today.
Oftentimes, we bring our first guest on, Kash Patel, because he knows so much about security and intelligence and law enforcement.
He's a former federal prosecutor, former federal defender, former chief investigative counsel for the House Intelligence Committee, former chief of staff to the Pentagon, and the former head of counterterrorism at the National Security Council.
But today, we're going to talk to him as a campaign surrogate. He has been out on the trail for Donald Trump in Pennsylvania, in Nevada, in many of the most contested battleground states, Wisconsin.
He's on the bus in Pennsylvania, and he's going to join us for a live update on the campaign and all that is going on, what he's learning from voters, what are the issues, what have Trump and Kamala Harris done to move the needle up or down this week.
Kash Patel will give us the unvarnished truth, like he always does. He always gives us straight talk when he's giving us his analysis, his opinions, his thoughts, his expertise. So, we're going to kick Saturday off with Kash Patel.
Now, in the second block, we're going to turn to another great national security expert. He's a former CIA analyst. He's the former chief of staff to the National Security Council under President Trump. He's one of the wisest people I know.
He currently is a major voice at the America First Policy Institute on crafting the next generation of security solutions in America.
Fred Fleitz is going to join us and we're going to talk about something that is profoundly disturbing a lot of people.
We broke this story a couple of days ago and since this time, scores of intelligence experts all across this country from various walks of
expertise in the security world, different agencies that they may have gone, but there is a very disturbing thing we discovered.
It was some internal CIA documents and they show earlier this year, this presentation that we obtained plus video of the discussion around the presentation, they show that the CIA, our nation's most prominent spy agency, is mandating DEI and calling it the mission central
to the CIA's future mission as a spy agency. Now, that is concerning to a lot of people.
First off, as you've heard from so many experts on this show and also places like the Holocaust Museum and others, DEI is a driving force for anti-Semitism and the anti-Israel hatred we've seen, and also some anti-Americanism.
It has been ripped out of a lot of schools in this country because it is believed to be radicalizing students and corrupting the concept of equality in America.Everyone is for equal opportunity in America because that's how we were founded.
But equity of outcomes, which is what DEI is trying to achieve, that's never been American. You win on merit in America, not on absolute guarantees. And DEI, the diversity, equity, inclusion philosophy, is a far-left philosophy.
It has its roots in Marxism. We're going to talk about tomorrow with someone who's been fighting it in the education system. But today, it's at the center of the CIA's plans for itself.
In fact, this document we made public, you got to read this story that my good friend Stephen Richards and I wrote a couple of days ago.
It declares that the CIA wants to make DEI so impenetrable inside the CIA, so ingrained that no future president like Donald Trump or Kamala Harris could ever disembowel it from the agency. That is very concerned.
That is a declaration of a deep state, of an administrative state that doesn't want to be responsive to the elected leader, the commander-in-chief that Americans chose, but instead wants to impose its own will on the agency.
This is a major, major scandal.A lot of people have been quoting this and looking into this. You're going to get your own take on it in the next few days.I think it's going to be very exciting. Now, go check that story out.
The headline on that story, if you just look quickly for it at Just the News, is Internal CIA Documents Presentation Show Effort to Mandate DEI at the Center. of the intel agency.Basically put it there and make it impenetrable to be pulled out.
Can't get it out. That is a very big and very important story.Go check it out today. And Fred Flights, in our second part of the interview process today, is going to walk us through that.He knows. He was an analyst at the CIA for a long time.
He's one of the most trusted security voices anywhere in America, former chief of staff to the National Security Council, and I suspect He's a man that could be on the short list for the CIA or the National Security Council or other important jobs.
He has been at the right side of President Trump much during this last couple of years, especially when foreign leaders are coming in town. You're going to get an exclusive interview with him.
He's going to break down the CIA bombshell and many other things in the next hour.OK. With that said, I'd like to kick off before we go to our first commercial break with a quick shout-out to my friends at Wired2Fish Coffee.

Hey folks, reliable and affordable energy is the heartbeat of our economy.Yet, bad policies keep making energy more expensive and now millions of Americans are facing energy poverty, something that was unthinkable just a few years ago.
They can't afford to pay their energy bills. Our friends at the U.S.Oil and Gas Association have a great idea.
It's time to hold our political leaders accountable at every level, national, state, and local, for the energy policy decisions they've made. It's time they sign on to the energy contract with America. We are looking for policymakers who want to one,
end energy poverty in America because no one should have to choose between putting food on the table or gas in their car. Two, make energy accessible, affordable, clean, and reliable for everyone.
End the restrictions on developing all of our energy resources, renewable, fossil, and nuclear.Use all of them, all of the above. And three, produce more of everything. No more pitting one energy source against another.Let's support policies
that enable all U.S.energy producers to do their jobs and produce more of everything.
If you want to be part of this great effort and you want to end energy poverty and produce more of everything, go to www.energycontractamerica.com to learn more about how you can get involved.Let me give you that again.www.energycontractamerica.com.
Go there today. All right, folks, welcome back from the commercial break. My next guest, we always turn to when we have a matter of national security and intelligence law enforcement, because he has such a distinguished career in all of those.
He's the former chief of staff to the Pentagon, former National Security Council member for counterterrorism, and before that, chief counsel
to the House Intelligence Committee, Chief Investigative Counsel for the House Intelligence Committee when it unraveled Russia collusion. Before that, a fantastic federal public defender and federal prosecutor.
But today he's added yet, he's an author, television star, but he's added another one, campaign extraordinaire.
He has been on the campaign trail for Donald Trump the last several months, working Nevada, Pennsylvania, and he has as good an intelligence of what's going on in the battleground states as anyone I know.
So I want to bring back my amazing friend, Cash Patel.Cash, welcome back to the show.John, thanks for having me on.I'm here on Boots on the Ground somewhere near Lancaster, PA.Sleepless in Lancaster.Could be the new movie after this one.How exciting.
I've seen you on the bus tours.I've seen you introducing the president at speeches. You've got your finger on the pulse of the places that are going to decide this election.Pennsylvania, Nevada, Arizona.Tell us a little bit about
what you feel when you talk to real voters, what's the mood out there four days from election day.
Well, we just got out of Montgomery County, and we were at the Limerick Diner in Limerick City Township here. And it's the biggest crowd we've ever had.The entire parking lot, door to door.I mean, we must have had 500 people out there.
And every school bus that drove by, every concrete mixer that drove by, every Mack truck that drove by, and every car that drove by was honking in support of President Trump.
So if we can do that in Montgomery County, which hasn't flipped red in a little bit, it means President Trump's message is getting out there. But we're not going to stop. We've got four days to go.
Yeah, you're running through the you're running through the tape on Election Day.There's no slowing down like the president has like three or four events every day.If I'm reading the calendar, right? He's not stop.
I mean, we're we get the easy job of getting to be on the bus with great guys like Byron Donald and Ronny Jackson today, Matt Whitaker, Hogan Gidney, where, you know, we're just filling in behind them wherever we can.
And we're seeing them fly over us in Trump Force One, which is always invigorating.
Yeah, it's pretty amazing to watch.I want to ask a little bit about the last week of negativity from Kamala Harris.I think they thought it might move the numbers.
It seems to have done the opposite effect, which has kind of made people get mad at Kamala Harris, the garbage comment from President Biden.
On the campaign trail, are people, how are they reacting to this sort of really dark negative tone that Kamala Harris and her surrogates like Joe Biden and others have taken?
The truth is coming out.Donald Trump has ran the unity campaign.
Donald Trump has not gone out like the Democrats have for the last 50 years and try to buy the black and brown vote, and try to buy the immigrant community vote, and try to buy the Arab community vote.
He's reaching out to his community and saying, you guys are American, just like the rest of us.And I'm not going to divide you on that hatred and vitriol that the Democrats are now finally showing. They don't like women.
Mark Cuban finally said what they thought all along. Joe Biden thinks we're garbage, and Kamala Harris is too busy dividing the rest of the nation while she's sipping on mojitos in Hollywood instead of helping America recover from natural disasters.
I mean, is that the commander in chief you want? And what I'm seeing here is a unity campaign for President Trump, unlike anything we've ever seen in history. And that's the message. He's bringing it together.
And you're talking to the son of a legal immigrant whose family fled a genocidal dictatorship to live the American dream here. And that's the dream we're fighting for for everybody.
Yeah, no doubt about it.A lot of times the Democrats have tried to falsely claim that the intelligence community is behind them.
And of course, there's been a lot of efforts where political leaders in the intelligence community have tried to meddle on behalf of Democrats and against Republicans. But yesterday, an extraordinary show of strength
from people on the front lines of our Homeland Security.200 current and former Homeland Security officials signed a letter supporting President Trump.
Rodney Scott, the former chief of the Border Patrol, Tom Homan, likely could be Homeland Security Secretary, Mark Morgan, former CPB chairman, our commissioner, an incredible number of big names of people who realize that this country's not gonna get fixed, that border's not gonna get secured unless Donald Trump's president.
What's your reaction to their big endorsement in the last 24 hours?
Well, look, everybody knew those guys who stand for the border were always going to stand with President Trump, because he's the border security guy that actually got it done.Kamala Harris's border star failed us.
Kamala Harris, as border star said, and as presidential candidate, said she would not do anything differently.
Kamala Harris continues to castigate Americans and call the families of Lake and Riley and Alexis Nungaree, who were tragically murdered by illegal immigrants, refuses to speak to them and calls them garbage.
Because that's what Joe Biden thinks of Trump supporters. She has not distanced herself from those comments. She has not reached out to those families. She has not talked to the fallen from the Afghanistan disaster.
So she cannot be in charge of the border, because as President Trump says, she does not love this country. And you cannot have a president in charge who does not love this country.
And when you see border patrol agents and national security officials in the hundreds support Donald Trump, they're not doing it for politics. Those guys do the work. They secure the border. They execute the mission.
And they're saying the commander-in-chief that can get the job done is Donald J. Trump.
Yeah, yeah. It's a very powerful message.I want to turn to something.I had Speaker Mike Johnson on the show yesterday, and he talked about the ActBlue scandal, which we've been working at a lot here at Just the News.
Again, we don't know if ActBlue is complicitous or not yet, but there is serious concern now that foreign powers for them, according to Mike Johnson, Iran, Venezuela, Russia, and China are routing money into Democratic coffers this election.
He said it's a huge foreign interference. It probably will result in Congress creating some sort of penalty for these countries. But the big headline this week was that they found hundreds of suspicious activity reports.
The Treasury Department's told Congress they found hundreds of suspicious activity reports surrounding transactions that involve ActBlue. It doesn't mean ActBlue is doing something wrong, but there's things going through it.
How important is it when you have that large a number of suspicious activity reports around a fundraising platform?
Well, this is why you need a real Department of Justice that isn't weaponized for political purposes.
And you've covered it better than any journalist in the country since Russiagate on how they've weaponized that system of justice for political purposes. So why do we need Donald Trump?
This issue alone needs to be properly investigated by a political law enforcement agency.Right now, the leadership is completely politicized from there on in the Chris Reich. And it's not a Republican or Democrat, I think.
We need to properly investigate all these suspicious activity reports and others that have been ignored purposely so they could execute a political agenda.
So we need an apolitical DOJ, and only Donald Trump's going to bring in a clue of people from the Department of Justice where I used to work and where I used to love working.
and the FBI give those cops on the ground the leadership they need to support the mission and actually take down criminals.
Remember, this is the same FBI that falsely labeled crime statistics on purpose so that they could say crime was down during the Kamala Harris administration. And what did they do last week?
They quietly adjusted them to show us that they forgot 1,700 murders.John, who forgets 1,700 murders, let alone one?Talk to the families of the 1,700 people that was murdered and tell them the government of the United States forgot to include you.
That's how political they are.
Wow.Amazing.Just amazing to think about. And you're right, that is the big picture when you step back and look at it.That's what it's really about.
In that world, if the president is lucky enough to win—and actually won't be lucky, it'll be hard work, they got him there—but if the president wins in what's going to be clearly a close race,
How important is the transition period for starting with those agencies, agencies that may have been asleep at the switch on Hamas, right? We talk about a CIA, but they didn't see the Hamas attacks coming on October 7th.
Fixing CIA, DNI, FBI, Justice Department, is that at the front end of a Trump fix?
Look, you know, we hate to get ahead of ourselves, and I know we've got to work endlessly, but we also have to at least discuss a little bit what a transition would look like, because that's what Americans are looking for.
They're looking for President Trump's victory, and we're looking for what his plan's going to be.I'll give you my opinion on what it should be.
I think every agency and department can be fixed when we take out the leadership structure, not just the top.You gotta go like eight, 10 levels down. And I think President Trump has the bench of personnel to do that.
And you're right, you bring up great examples. How in the world did the United States intelligence team miss the invasion into Ukraine?
Worse off, maybe, how in the world do they miss a world war carried out by Iran into Israel where Americans are still being held hostage? You miss it not because you're bad or inept.
You miss it because you intentionally prioritize DEI, white rage, and climate change and DOD, I mean, health community, instead of terrorists.Remember, this is the administration of Harris and Biden that de-labeled Hamas as a terrorist organization.
Donald Trump knew how to take on terrorists. Donald Trump knew how to bring home hostages. And these folks have prioritized giving money to the mullahs in Tehran, the largest state sponsor of terror.
And they've also given them a roadway to the nuclear bomb. That's why they missed it, because they're bending the knee to our enemies.
And you can be rest assured that Donald Trump has an America First crew of patriots willing to take on whatever mission he implements to put our country back on top and safeguard our border and make sure we don't fight in any forever war.
Yeah, such an important message, such an important, I think, moment.Last four days, there's still a lot of people haven't voted, though a lot of people, historic numbers, already voting.
What do you think the question they're asking themselves in these last few days, what is the answer that Donald Trump and Republicans have to give to make sure they have a Republican White House, a Republican Senate, and a Republican House?
You know, it's the message that the President gave at Madison Square Garden, which is where I was with him just a few short days ago.
Where else and what other kind of leader can bring to the epicenter of media, sports, and politics a division, excuse me, a unity and diverse crowd such as Elon Musk, Tucker Carlson, Donald Trump, J.D.Vance, and so many other brilliant minds
and say, we are all behind Donald J. Trump because of his vision for America. That's the closing message, in my opinion.
And I'm seeing it on the campaign where folks are coming up to me and saying, hey, we see that Donald Trump is really looking to bring this country together. And I'm hearing from people who've never voted before.I just heard that down in Limerick.
And to me, that shows that his message of unity is getting across and that the mainstream media's attempt to block and tackle with disinformation is failing, digging up false stories from the past The American people are sick and tired of it.
The American people don't want to be labeled garbage. The American people don't want to be told that Donald Trump doesn't hire intelligent, smart women. He hired more than any president before him combined.I worked in that White House.
I saw it up front.Women with families and children, and they still showed up to work for President Trump. It was an incredibly inspirational White House. And that's what people want to see.
You can see the leadership he had in the White House and across government. And folks like that, I'm sure, will come back.
And that's why you're saying the likes of Josh Shapiro and other candidates who are struggling for Senate distance themselves from the Harris-Biden campaign.
The Democrats themselves are dividing themselves and their country, and Trump's bringing it all together.
Yeah, I think that's exactly right. It's that moment. And it's funny, the party that said it wanted to be the party of unity is the party of division. And the party that gets accused of being the party of division has been the party of unity.
And the media doesn't know what to do with it.It's driving them nuts now.
And I think the people who are going to wake up on Wednesday, the losers, may be the Democrats, but more importantly, the news media and the pollsters who've tried to put their thumb on the scale the last few weeks of this election with some really bizarre behavior.
But the American people are smarter.I think they're going to make the right decision. Cash, thank you so much.I know how exhausting it is being on the campaign trail seven days a week.
What an honor to get some time with you just four days from election day.Really enjoyed that.
I appreciate everybody out there.Go find 10 people you don't know.Get uncomfortable.Get people right.Get the ballots in.Vote, vote, vote. It's not just you. It's the community that depends on you.Let's get this thing done.
Yeah, that's exactly it.No doubt about it.Good words of wisdom. And that's for anyone. No matter your political persuasion, you can't win a football game if you're sitting on the sidelines. You've got to be on the field.
And in this game, that means voting. My good friend, thanks so much. We'll catch you after Election Day and get your best analysis of what we've just lived through. It'll be a lot of fun.
Thanks so much.Appreciate it.
Thanks, Cass.Take care of yourself, buddy. All right, folks, don't go anywhere.Fred Flight's right around the corner, former CIA analyst, former chief of staff to the National Security Council. We're going to be talking about CIA wokeism.
Yes, crazy philosophy starting to penetrate the CIA.Fred Flight's going to react to the big story we broke earlier this week, which, by the way, he helped us break. We'll have that right after these messages.
All right, folks, welcome back from the commercial break. We've been working on something that our next guest is at the forefront of been warning.
He's been warning about the CIA becoming basically a political propaganda arm and not an intelligence and security arm.
Now, that doesn't mean the men and women on the front lines, all of the station chiefs, all the great people who do brave work to keep this country are doing that.
But the leadership, particularly those tied to the Biden-Obama era of intelligence supervision, they've been on something. And Fred brought to my attention something that I think is absolutely stunning.
It is a slide deck that was created for CI employees. It talks about workforce feedback and a path to developing their workforce.
And one of its strategic goals, I'm not making this up, this is not an Onion headline, I'm telling you, not be easily shaken or crumbled due to executive administrative changes. In other words, Donald Trump might be coming, hold the line.
There's another important thing that I think is in the same side deck, and that is that they want improved messaging, especially to the relevance of DEI to the CIA's mission.
In other words, creating equity outcomes, diversity and inclusion outcomes in an intelligence agency that's supposed to keep us safe. Now, I know you may think, well, they've been talking about this everywhere else.Of course, it's at the CIA.
It's really, really troubling. And Fred has, I think, some brilliant views on what is happening and why we should all take note. And that's why we're glad to welcome him back to the show.Fred, great to have you back on. All right.
So this is a May 2024 government DEI conference. So DEI is in the intelligence agencies. We're not always focused on the most skilled intelligence operative. We're concerned about the most equitable operative, apparently.
But tell us what you take away from this.
John, I've heard about this for some time by former CIA officers and by people who are studying it.And this DEI philosophy is dug in quite deep. within our government, including at the Central Intelligence Agency.
They're not promoting or hiring or giving bonuses based on merit. They're using quotas. They're using DEI to promote political outcomes.
And if you watch this briefing, which is available on Rumble, the briefer goes in very clear, clearly that diversity is the major issue when personnel panels come up.Promoting DEI, you have to live it within the government.
Now, look, the CIA has an important mission.
at a dangerous mission some so we are no cia officers who were still alive a good friend of mine died uh... over bosnia uh... in a plane crash we need the best possible people to analyze intelligence and to collect intelligence keep their shape there's no room for social engineering
in an organization that's crucial. But if you listen to this podcast, this briefing, read these slide decks, they have pushed DEI from top to bottom throughout the entire organization.
And as you mentioned, there's one slide deck that said that they are moving in such a way to make it impossible for a future administration to reverse this. Now, I think a future administration can reverse this, but you can see
the DEI bureaucrat to CIA, they are digging in.
It's one thing, and I think people over time have gotten confused by DEI saying, well, of course, we always believe in the equality of opportunity, but equality of opportunity and equity are not the same thing.
They want equitable outcomes for people regardless of their performance or their outcome or their merit. And that is a perversion of the traditional equality in America, which we all share regardless of our political stripe.
This philosophy, this C-R-T-D-E-I philosophy, doesn't it have roots in some of our enemies' philosophies, Marxism and socialism and communism?
No, that's exactly right. It comes from theories of Marxism and socialism. But You and I are for fairness and diversity. We want to see the government diverse.
We want to have opportunities for every American to fail to compete and receive these opportunities. We shouldn't tolerate any kind of discrimination.I think that should be clear.
But to have a quota set up so the best people don't get positions because the CIA's ultra-liberal managers want to have a certain percentage of employees from various ethnic and gender backgrounds to populate the workforce.
That's not in the interest of our security. And that's what's going on.
It's mind boggling to think that security could be put behind an ideological, a political ideological philosophy, which, by the way, isn't even widely shared in America. When you look at polling, Americans don't even believe in DI.
They actually think it may be tied to the rise of anti-Semitism.If you're China, or if you're Russia, or if you're North Korea or Iran, and you see the CIA doing this, what are you thinking as one of our mortal enemies?
I think our mortal enemies are quite pleased to see what used to be the premier intelligence service wasting all this time and energy and persecuting people who don't support this philosophy.I'll give you an example.
I wrote an article on this a few years ago.One of the top analysts who dealt with nuclear proliferation was moved to head the DEI shop a number of years ago.And I kept thinking to myself, why?
Why would you move this brilliant woman, who I saw her work when I was in this office, to an office doing such frivolous work.Let me talk about misusing resources.
If you watch this briefing on Rumble, you can hear the person talking about how he used to be a top analyst and how the agency circulates top analysts and operators through the DEI office because they want it to be staffed internally.
They want to push this philosophy throughout the workforce, throughout managers, to make it a permanent part of the organization.
Pretty remarkable. And it's been going on overtly.I mean, people in the CIA clearly feel comfortable enough to have this open discussion. And it's got to be mystifying to our allies and perhaps delightful to our enemies. There's no doubt about it.
As you look out, As this DEI energy has taken hold of the intelligence community under the Biden administration, there have been growing signs that some of the core capabilities and core warning signs for our intelligence community are lacking.
We didn't really see October 7th coming, at least if you believe the current story that our intelligence experts have given to Congress.
When you look out at other things, we've had a hard time really deciphering the arc of the war between Russia and Ukraine.
Those sort of core capabilities, which by the way, keep us safe, which are in the primary charter and mission of the CIA, it seems like the CIA has fallen a little short of, while it has been pushing a lot of this political ideology that really is the far left faction of the Democratic Party's want list.
Is that a fair assessment that CIA has not been on the top of all of the security questions in the last few years?
I'd say in the last few decades, first of all, it's suffering from risk aversion and careerism. They've made the cost of being wrong too high. And analysts are encouraged not to stick their neck out, not to make bold predictions or conclusions.
And when you read a top assessment, There may be 12 pages of key judgments, and they're worded in such a way so it's mush.It doesn't mean anything.
I mean, that's a key part of this, and that's what makes this DEI thing even worse, because the agency already had problems after the wrong judgments about 9-11 and weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, so it became so risk-averse.
So the analysis was already in trouble, and now it's being undermined by the fact that we're not hiring the best and brightest to do this analysis.People are thinking about their next job. They're not thinking about their security. And one final point.
The fact that there are agency officers trying to dig in with his DEI philosophy so a new president can't change it, this goes to a key problem with the intelligence community. It doesn't recognize they were created to serve the president.
They're not in charge. They're supposed to do what the president wants to produce intelligence to help him make national security, not to lock down policies he won't be able to change.
That's really important and it's something that I think we saw a lot in the first Trump administration.
The intelligence community, sometimes the military community, not following the wishes and orders of the president as the constitution recalls and carrying out their own bureaucratic preferences, policies, ideas, and ideologies.
I was struck by this recently when I got some new documents from the January 6th Committee where the acting head of the Pentagon, Chris Miller, told the Democratic J6 Committee, I know the president told us get troops available for the Hill, but there was no way in hell I was going to do that.
I wouldn't listen to him.I didn't like the optics myself, so I wouldn't do it. that mindset, which, by the way, he's a great uniformed officer before he became defense secretary, but that mindset is very elastic in the bureaucracy.
It poses a real risk to the next president, no matter who they are, if the bureaucrats think they can do other than what the president has ordered.
That's exactly right. In 2019, two senior intelligence officials, CIA director, director of national intelligence, went before an open Senate hearing and said that President Trump's policies on North Korea and Iran were going to fail.
And I think this is why the DNI coach being fired at the time. But we didn't create these agencies to adjudicate or rule in presidential policies or to publicly criticize what the president wants to do.If they want to do that in private, that's fine.
But their job is to produce intelligence to help the president succeed in national security, not to judge whether his policies are correct.I mean, the whole philosophy, the whole mandate of these organizations is off track.
That's really, really important. The mission and the execution are not aligned the way they used to be.In their heyday, there was no better intelligence community than the American intelligence community.
In their heyday, there was no better law enforcement agency than the FBI.And again, they're still great people. They still do great things every day.But the misalignment of priorities and personal wishes over following commands is
one of the great threats, I think, to the future of all presidents. They won't be able to control these sort of self-sustaining bureaucracies that feel that they're bigger than the elected officials in this country. If Donald Trump were to win,
You've obviously been by his side a lot.The next CIA director needs to take a affirmative action, but it's probably scalpel-like, right?
It's precision surgery so that the agency keeps going on and doesn't focus on resistance to change, gets change, but also doesn't lose its mission.
What are some of the ideas that you would tell the president we should do to get the CIA back on track, away from DEI and into fighting terrorism and counterintelligence threats?
Well, I think that the whole culture of the agency has to be changed to focus on the fact that under law, their mandate is to support the president to help him make good national security decisions.
And I think the president will have to choose someone who understands, uh, the complexity of the problems that have been building at CIA for decades. It's deep. It's very serious. And, uh, addressing this is going to be hard.
And I think that whoever the president asked to do it, that might be their last job because the blowback will be terrible. But I think the president is ready for that.
I don't think Donald Trump wants to throw out the intelligence community, but I think he's very concerned that it is not working for him.
And if the intelligence community doesn't have his trust, if he won't use it, we're throwing away almost $90 billion a year.If he won't use it, we have to shut it down.So it has to be fixed.
And I think that medicine is going to be pretty tough, but I think it can be done.
Yeah. And the president said to me, and I've always found this profound when we've had conversations about the FBI or the CIA and the frustrations he had himself and watching them resist his lawful orders.
And by the way, in many cases, constructive orders, because we had more peace in the Middle East because of the president's desire to go and do the Abraham Accords.A lot of bureaucrats said that was a bad idea. Not the president.
He was there and he's pushing. But he said to me, and I find this really profound. that, you know, people think I want them to follow me because it's my personal interest. But really, they follow me because they're doing the people's business.
I'm just the people's servant as the president. And it's frustrating to think that these bureaucrats think they can thumb their nose at the everyday Americans who put the president in office.
And he has always understood that he doesn't think the CIA is his personal project. He understands that his authority comes from the people and that they should be serving the people through his instructions.
It's a really interesting thing, especially when they try to portray him as a dictator or a Nazi or a fascist. He really appreciates that the intelligence community is really to protect the people.
You've probably picked that up just in your own interactions with him, right?
Well, I mean, you and I have talked to the president and we've told him things he doesn't want to hear. And I want our intelligence agencies to tell the president things he needs to know, not what he wants to hear.
But I want that, those briefings to be done in private. That way the president can learn and the intelligence community can focus on giving him the information he needs to succeed.
I don't want them wasting their time writing analysis on climate, climate change, which we have an enormous investment in at the CIA and the DNI and other organizations.
We have to focus on the real threats to our country, and we have to give analysis to the president to help him succeed. And I'm not saying, as I said, I don't want to tell him what he wants to hear.
I think he wants to hear the truth from these analysts. He wants to hear analysis to help him succeed.
Yeah, that's right. He wants to know what he needs to hear, not what he wants to hear. And he's always been clear about that.I think people have a media perception that he just wants to be told what he wants to be told.
And the truth is just the opposite. He has a curious mind.He wants to know what he doesn't know so he can make better decisions and that a trust with the CIA will allow him to get there if these issues can be conquered.
I want to pivot to one other story. It's something that's been burbling and now I think it's getting to a very serious level in Congress.
Three members of Congress, Chairman Brian Stile of the House Administration Committee, which is the Election Integrity Committee of the House, James Comer, the Oversight Committee Chairman, who did great work on the Hunter Biden case, and then Senator Ron Johnson, who, if Republicans win, would have the most important investigative panel in Congress, the Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations.
He'd be the chairman in a Republican Senate. They are all developing a body of evidence that foreign powers may be injecting money to the benefit of Democrats in this election through a platform called ActBlue. It doesn't mean ActBlue is complicitous.
It could be just being used as a platform. It could be complicitous. They don't know the answer.
But in the last 24 hours, it was confirmed in a memo that James Comer sent all members of Congress, a confidential memo that the Treasury Department has confirmed to Congress. It has found hundreds
of suspicious activity reports, these are the money laundering alert reports that financial institutions are required under the Bank Secrecy Act to file, related to transactions that go through or are involving ActBlue.Hundreds of SARs.
Now, SARs have a very high threshold, so when they get filed, there are several triggers that are hit by it, and they've named four countries. They've named Iran, China, Venezuela, Russia. as a potential suspect. That's what Congress has named.
When you hear that as someone who knows how the system works, who knows how our enemies work, how much attention should Americans be paying to this?Is this a big deal?Does this become something of utmost importance in the post-election period?
I don't know that it's going to tip the election, but I have no doubt that our adversaries are working very hard to defeat Trump and that they are trying to meddle in the election, doing things that running ads, illegal campaign contributions.
The issue here is, what did ActBlue do to stop these illegal contributions?
I think this is an organization that is so radical, so ferociously anti-Trump, that they didn't do the due diligence to ensure that illegal foreign contributions were not being made. And this is a massive democratic fundraising mechanism.
billions of dollars by their own account.I think they say like $11 billion over the last two decades. So it's a big, big system.
So, I mean, we could talk about did they do this deliberately?I think frankly, and we've seen this over and over again, the Democrats don't care about foreign threats. They don't act to prevent it.They don't think it's a big deal.
They don't understand that China and Iran and Russia and other nations, they really are going to do this kind of meddling.
I think this group is so fanatic about defeating Trump that they didn't bother to make sure that all the countries were legal and not coming from our enemies.
There's something really profound in the letters.
that Congress has exchanged with ActBlue and the Treasury Department, which is ActBlue has admitted to Congress now that it didn't use one of the most common protections against money laundering and identity theft.
It wasn't using the CVV number, that three-number digit on the back of your credit card that makes sure that the bank and you know you're the same person, that you really are John Solomon when you're making a credit card transaction.
When you hear that, that ActBlue tells them they didn't use a very – I mean, if you go to Walmart or Amazon online, you've got to put your CVV in because it protects against identity theft.
The notion that ActBlue has admitted that in writing to Congress, does that give you some sense that maybe there's been some intentional looseness in the system?
I mean, that confers what I just said. But I think that if ActBlue was looking at all the names of their contributors, I think it would have been probably fairly apparent that some of them were coming from China or from Russia.
Did they do such an investigation?Did they review where the money's coming from, the names of the contributors to make sure that they're American citizens and they're not coming from abroad. My guess is that they didn't.
Such an important point to make. And I think in the post-election period, we will see a lot more developments than this.I suspect that the Treasury Department won't get these SARs to Congress until after the election, given the timetable.
We have only five days left. When it happens, we're going to learn a lot more.Final thoughts, as you look at, we know now that a foreign power has tried to hack President Trump, kill President Trump.
possibly fund his enemy, since Iran has been flagged by this congressional committee as a possible source of money.
In all of the years that you've done intelligence analysis and protected this country at the National Security Council, at the CIA, have you ever seen this level of aggression by some of our enemies targeting a single candidate in an election?
In fairness, I think that our enemies have tried to influence elections for a long time. But from my experience, it has never been this aggressive and sustained. Our enemies see Trump as an enormous challenge to their influence and power.
And they know very well, as weak as Biden was, Harris will be many times weaker and will provide opportunities to advance their influence of power at America's expense that will never reverse.I think she's so incredibly incompetent and weak.
We're seeing this over the last couple of days by some of her statements. And I think our enemies, they're moving aggressively right now because they want her in power.
Trevor Burrus Yeah. And that's why the DEI initiative at the CIA is all the more alarming because it weakens and detracts focus on our national security, something that you so brilliantly pointed out. We're so grateful.
Fred, every time you come on the show, we learn something important. Our nation's security is preeminent, but it seems like in the last two decades, it often has taken a backseat through non-common sense decisions like injecting DEI.
