I'm excited for the future.President Trump was elected with a decisive margin, a mandate not just for incremental change, but sweeping change.And I'm looking forward to being a part of it.
He's changed history with his creativity and how he's thinking about this new administration, his second term.
And one of the things that we're doing differently is the, as you've probably heard, the newly created Department of Government Efficiency, DOGE, which I'll have the honor of co-leading with Elon Musk.
This is, I think, the Manhattan Project of our time, hopefully.We are going to take aim at the overgrown
fourth branch of government, and finally restore self-governance in America again, where the people we elect to run the government once again become the ones who actually run the government, and in the process take care of massive cost overruns, massive federal spending in a way that's really never happened in our generation.
Politicians have talked about it for a long time.It hasn't happened. And that's why we're doing things differently.Elon and I, we're not politicians.We're businessmen.We're not going in as government bureaucrats or even employees.
We're outside volunteers.And perhaps most importantly, we have set a finite expiry date on this project.We don't want Doge to exist forever.To the contrary, we want this to end and the need for it to end by July 4th, 2026, which is appropriate.
That's the 250th anniversary of the American Declaration of Independence.And I can think of no better gift to this country than a downsized government that would make our founding fathers proud.
And that's what we hope to help play a role in delivering for them.I'm proud of President Trump for delivering this victory.I'm proud of the American people for voting for the kind of change that we require to save this republic.
As part of that process, I'm now all in.I'm focused on making sure that we actually accomplish the goal rather than just talking about it.So to that end, for the next little bit, I'm going to put a pause on the Weekly Truth Podcasts.
I've enjoyed doing it this year.It's been incredibly fun and entertaining.I've learned from a lot of the guests and I've enjoyed communicating with all of you. We're going to put that on pause for a little bit.
And as you may have heard, Elon and I are going to start a separate track of dogecasts that explain exactly what we're doing to the public to provide transparency in what is a once-in-a-generation project.
We want to bring the public along with us to lift the curtain, to take us behind the scenes of what actually that waste, fraud, and abuse in government looks like.However bad you think it is, it's probably worse.
But we don't want to do this to just expose the problem.We want to do it to solve the problem. So stay tuned.We're going to have more information about when those Dogecasts are going to begin.
We are neck deep right now in transitioning to the new dawn on January 20th.But in the meantime, I thank all of you for your journey this year, for joining us.
