He is the senior political director at the Trump campaign and has run a great campaign and will continue to do to Tuesday.James, welcome to the program.James, there's a lot of questions our audience has.Why don't I just leave it open-ended?
What is the state of the race from the Trump campaign's perspective right now?
Thanks for having me, Charlie.Great to be back.The state of the race is good right now.Obviously, we cannot take our foot off the gas.We've got to run like we're 10 points down all the way through Tuesday.
And the first thing I'll say is it's important that everybody who supports President Trump to get out and vote and vote right now.Early voting is still open in many states and all the way through the weekend and some.
And go to SwamptheVoteUSA.com to figure out where and when you can vote. But now past that plug, look, the name of the game is turnout right now.The early voting numbers look really good for us.Charlie, you and I have talked about that.
We're pacing so far ahead of where we were two or even four years ago. in terms of our share of the early vote.The polling looks good.
President Trump has been leading the RCP average more often than not over the last two weeks in every single battleground state, and even the national average flipped to him last week.So everything you'd want to see is on our sides.
We're turning out our voters.The polling looks good, but nobody can be complacent.Look, this is going to be a close race.It's going to take everyone voting.But we feel pretty good about things.
Yeah.And so this is a turnout operation right now.And James, can you talk about that?
And the president did amazing yesterday with the whole garbage truck thing, because you want attention, you want eyeballs, and you want to try and drive people out to the polls.Early voting is still occurring over the weekend in some states, but
in states like Pennsylvania, it's all about election day, all about election day.And we need to try to drive turnout.
And also for the people in this audience, I mean, you're speaking to the high propensity audience right now, James, they need to find other disengaged voters and be a force multiplier.
I just want to paint a picture, James, and it's not a leading question, but if
If we have record turnout these next couple of days, if our base averages to find one other inactive voter, let's say one out of 10 of our voters find one more inactive voter, what does that look like Tuesday?
Run through the statistical analysis if we drive turnout and we just go completely nuts these couple of days.
Well, look, if we look at all of the high and mid propensity voters that are left to vote that haven't voted yet and all of the battleground states, That favors us.We have enough votes to win that are still outstanding.
So step one is, you know, everybody has to go out and vote that's used to voting.But then those of you that are super voters and used to voting, you've got to find somebody that doesn't vote in every election.You got to find someone newly registered.
That could be your nephew, your grandson, your child, your neighbor.You've got to get somebody out with you.And if we do that, I mean, just mathematically, we can't lose. Those low propensity voters, those newly registered are our firewall.
They're our guarantee, our insurance policy.So don't just vote yourself.Help us buy insurance.Help us guarantee victory.That's what I would say.I mean, the math is there that if everybody did that, it's just impossible to lose.
So James, let's talk about the new and revamped RNC and Trump campaign that has done great work in Bucks County.
Talk to our audience about what happened in Bucks County and the legal victory there and educate the national audience on kind of the wrinkles involved in all of that.
Yeah, absolutely.So what we saw for, you know, frankly, several days in Pennsylvania start to unfold, county elections officials shutting down lines before they were supposed to, so people were in line to vote at one or two o'clock.
when they're supposed to be open until five, just for elections officials to come out and say, hey, get out of line.We're not going to be able to get to you or stop the line from being added to hours before it's supposed to close.
We saw them in some places advertise for five hours of early voting just to shut it down after two. And look, there's no secret, it's our people that are turning out to vote this early in person.
I mean, we're winning the in-person early vote in Pennsylvania massively, and frankly, doing very well in all of the states, just historic numbers.And so we view that as a coordinated effort to suppress the vote.
But at a minimum, they're not following the law.So immediately we went to court. We sued Bucks County specifically, and we were able to get three more days of early voting.
Credit to the court for doing the right thing and finding that Bucks County had violated the Pennsylvania election code when it did that.They ruled immediately.
So Bucks County, Pennsylvania is still open for early voting through Friday at 5 p.m., even though that's three extra days of early voting and everyone else is shut down now.So we are fighting the election integrity battle.
If you see something, say something. I will also plug protectthevote.com.If you're seeing something out there, submit a report that goes straight to our lawyers and they review it, triage it.Written reports are very helpful for going into court.
So it's really on all of us to make sure things are played fairly, but we're on top of it and we've already seen quick victories thanks to our aggression and standing up for our voters' right to vote.
I love that.And again, this is the new mantra, everybody.And you guys are doing a great job.Let's play Cut 65.This is a little bit of what we're talking about here.Let's play Cut 65.Wow.
Wow.Wow.That's crazy.You locked her up?That is insane, man.She is not influencing people.She is not at all.
So what happened in this situation?Michael Watley posted it.A woman was arrested allegedly for influencing people, but just telling people to stay in line.Josh Shapiro said you could vote if you were in line by 5 p.m.
What has Josh Shapiro been doing here?Is there voter suppression happening?And I believe we need to push through this, James.
Look, it doesn't seem like he's doing much besides tweeting.
I mean, I actually quote tweeted him with the video of the Bucks County Emergency Services officers closing up the line at 245 on top of his tweet that said, if you're in line by five, you'll still get to vote.
So it's one thing to say something, but he's certainly not enforcing. And look, I don't know if it's coordinated voter suppression by the election officials or not.I mean, I'm sure there's a learning curve here.
This is the first time they've really done this, but the fact is that voters have a right to vote. These hours have been published that they can come vote in this time.
And the fact that we've seen repeatedly, we've got reams of evidence that folks have come out and said, yeah, just come back.It's easier on election day.It's not right.It's not acceptable.
And again, in Bucks County, a judge found that it's a violation of Pennsylvania election code.
What I will say is really inappropriate that we're seeing is Democrat operatives across Pennsylvania, and I'm sure across other states, too, will be emerging, wearing T-shirts and badges that are meant to look like they are elections officials.
They are not.We view that as intimidating and suppressing.I'll tell you, we're identifying those. individuals as we speak and reviewing legal options, and we will continue to be aggressive.
Don't be surprised if you see us sue those individuals in that program entirely.But again, I won't speak for our lawyers.They're still going through it. But that's not acceptable.That's been, you know, many times ruled on in court.
In fact, for many years, the RNC was under a consent decree with poll watching for similar tactics back in the 1980s, I think.So we don't view that as appropriate.These partisan folks going around and kind of pushing people around.
At the end of the day, we're asking for one thing.We're asking for people. to have the right to vote freely and fairly the way that their county or state government has laid out.
But I will say this, and it's really important for this audience and for everyone.Do not doomsday here.We cannot suppress our own vote inadvertently by people thinking that there's all this bad stuff going on.
I want everyone to take encouragement that we are fighting.It's nothing like four years ago.We're being proactive.We're successful.
Like I said, see something, say something, make these people famous that are doing the wrong thing, but you still got to get out and vote.We are not going to let them take it from us.We're not going to let them get away with anything.
And we're already seeing that as we've fought these early battles and been successful.
Everybody, it is a turnout operation.So everyone in the audience, you become a force multiplier.You find a low propensity voter.If you harvest low props these next couple of days, we have enough voters plus low props.
We run through the finish line, everybody. We've already done a good enough job in early voting.We are in a striking distance right now.We can do it, but it's going to require the activism of everybody in this audience.

Some people would say, Charlie, you're cannibalizing your day of election day voters with all this early voting push.What does the data say?
The data says that's not true.And what's really important is, okay, let's look at who's voting right now in our get out the vote pool and her get out the vote pool.
A higher share of the folks that we've already gotten to vote are low and mid propensity, including newly registered voters than is the same for her.
So we're doing a better job of getting these folks that are less frequent voters or less likely to vote to vote and vote early.So we're already building up an edge against her.And we also look at the historical voting patterns.
We're not having a big cannibalization effect on the election day vote.We're actually expanding the voter pool more than we're doing that.
So I would say this, to the degree the other side is saying we're cannibalizing our own sort of high propensity vote. Well, they're actually doing it significantly worse than us, so that's a problem for them.
Two, I want to point out, and I've been saying this the last few days, back in 2012, if you go back and look, and there's all kinds of news clips and stuff you can read about this if you weren't around, Obama had the early vote just going gangbusters.
Okay.And the Romney campaign was saying they're just cannibalizing their election day vote.They're just getting their high propensity voters who are going to vote anyway.Yep. And we obviously know what happened.It turned out Obama had better turnout.
He won the race and that was that.So that's kind of a false narrative out there.What's important is the underlying data.
The data and also understand when you expand the pool of voting, you're going to pull some other first time voters with you.You pull the low props with you.And so you're, you're pulling these people into the system.All right.
Other people say, but, but the Democrat hopium types are saying their path to victory is they're going to run the table with independents, with indies.What does the data show with non-party registered or independent voters?
Yeah, it depends on what poll you look at, where exactly it stands.But overwhelmingly, they all show President Trump performing significantly better with independence than he ever has before.So there is just not a good data case for that whatsoever.
They're not going to run the table with independence.We're going to win them in some cases, or it'll be really close, or maybe a narrow loss, as opposed to a very, very significant loss, as we've seen in the past.
Again, to your point about hopium, I mean, what I've seen, you know, I have to do a lot of interviews, Charlie, and they're in the cherry picking narratives phase.This week, I've discussed the early voting gender gap.That's their path to victory.
I've discussed Puerto Ricans.They say are on fire now in the battleground states.That's their path to victory. There's a new path to victory every single day with them.
And that is typically, in my experience, when you start to sort of have to cherry pick narratives that aren't backed by the very clear data, that's the spin cycle that you're in right before you lose a race.So I'm not here to say that it's locked up.
Everyone must go vote.But there's just not good evidence that they are where they need to be, especially compared to us being ahead of where we typically would be by significant margins.
In closing here, James, I tweeted, I said, if men do not show up on Tuesday, we're not going to have a great election day.
Now there's actually, just to be clear, the evidence shows that we're actually doing better in early voting with the gender divide than we have in years past.And Kamala has not run up this female surge that they predicted.
But can you at least say, can you say this, that men do need to vote on Tuesday and we need to at least close the gender divide a little bit?What does the data show in that regard?
Well, you said it, Charlie.I mean, the gender distribution of the early vote right now looks fairly typical of the last several election cycles.There's not a lot of surprises there.
In fact, it is slightly more male, and very slight, but slightly more male than it typically is at this stage, so this idea that they're running up The score is just not the case.
Two, not all women are voting for Kamala Harris, despite what they would like to have you believe.
I mean, we're pulling in a ton of female, new Republicans, new registrants, low propensity voters, all of those things that's embedded into our numbers as well.But you're absolutely right.Men do need to show up and vote.It is their responsibility.
Everyone needs to show up and vote, but men need to stand up and lead would be my suggestion.And ultimately, You know, my admonition to anyone would be, don't complain if you can't show up and vote.
If you don't like the way things are going and you don't choose to go do something about it, then what are you really doing?You know, that's not the way to lead.That's not the way to change the world.You change the world through your actions.
And in this case, it's by voting.

And again, if you're not offending people one out of 10 times, you're a comedian, you're not doing your job.It's a trial and error thing.He makes a joke that of course, if you do it in a political rally, it gets applied in ways that are Not great.
Okay.He's a Comedy Central writer and he writes for all these roasts.Okay.So the media, of course, just goes completely nuts and loses their mind because we're supposed to care about what somebody says as a comedian at a Trump rally.Okay.
So the Democrats think they have new momentum because of this joke.They think a single joke, we have a huge momentum, we're going to seize on it.So Kamala Harris has her event on Tuesday evening at the Ellipse.
And concurrently, as Kamala Harris is about to do her event, they send Joe Biden, who by the way, is now doing more speaking and campaigning than he did in 2020, and he's in far worse mental condition today than he was in 2020.
They send him on a Zoom call with Voto Latino.
As he's on the Zoom call with Voto Latino, Joe Biden, not jokingly, but very seriously, and he's not a comedian, he's the current president of the United States during the Kamala rally, says Trump supporters are all, the only garbage I have seen are Trump's supporters or his supporters.
So not, again, it would be one thing if he's like, the only garbage I've seen is Donald Trump.Okay.They've called Donald Trump worse than garbage.They want him dead.They call him Nazi.They call him dictator, fascist.He's been shot in the head.Okay.
That would, that would have been bad, but it wouldn't have gotten the response that it did.Instead, Joe Biden said that you are garbage.He involved the body politic that he is tasked to govern.And I say this and I want somebody to correct me.

And it wasn't that Joe Biden said something that he didn't mean.It's that he didn't mean to say it. And those are two completely different things.Let me say that again.It's not that Joe Biden didn't say something he didn't mean.
It's that he didn't mean to say it.It is a deeply held belief of the regime that the people of this country are trash, therefore worthy of discarding. So I was texting with the New York Times reporter as it happened.
I said, oh, this thing's gonna just light on fire.And this just goes to show these reporters, they don't quite understand how things work.And he said, what do you mean?I said, oh, this is gonna be the number one news story for the next three days.
And he said, what?I said, oh, I know, I know the internet.I know this is gonna be huge.He's like, all right, let's see.And then he texted me back yesterday.He's like, whoa, you were right.It was number one trending story on the planet.
Three million tweets on Twitter. And then Donald Trump brilliantly decided, and this is what you do.You use the marker of disdain in your favor.You use what they consider to be a negative and you turn it into a positive.
Moves and counter moves, as Philip Seymour Hoffman would say in The Hunger Games.Moves and counter moves. So Donald Trump then goes yesterday to Wisconsin, and this is without a doubt, the most entertaining political campaign ever.
In some ways, you don't want it to be over.Donald Trump gets shot.Not that's a good thing.He gets indicted.He works at McDonald's.What has Kamala done?
It's the most scripted, artificial, synthetic, propaganda laced campaign in the history of politics.And instead. We have Donald Trump who is completely authentic.
So here it is, Donald Trump gets off of Trump Force One, using the negative into a remarkable positive, where Donald Trump then does a press conference from a garbage truck.Donald Trump wearing the orange vest and taking questions.

Oh, well, Kamala Harris with her major swaths of support.The only way it happens is if we don't show up.It's that simple.I'm looking at the numbers.If we are sleepy and if we are complacent, Kamala Harris wins. We are in the driver's seat.

Every day that make this country great.And he's at war with the American people. Kamala Harris hates the people that she is tasked to govern.She hates you.You can't lead America unless you love America, as President Donald Trump would say.
So you guys better use that as motivation because if we do not turn out and get our friends turned out and make the most amount of noise humanly possible from now to Tuesday, we will hand the country to people who hate it and hate you and hate the people.

The only supporters that I've seen, again, it's one thing if like a random person says or an activist, the president of the United States definitionally cannot have contempt for the people of the nation that he is tasked to oversee.Definitionally.
And that explains the 10 million new illegals.That explains the $200 billion to Ukraine. That explains ignoring Western North Carolina.It explains ignoring East Palestine, Ohio.He thinks the people of East Palestine are garbage.
He thinks you're trash.He thinks the people of Butler, Pennsylvania are vermin.He thinks the people of Springfield, Ohio deserve a little Haitian invasion.The people of Aurora, Colorado deserve a tren de la raga, takeover.
He thinks that the Latin masses deserve to be taken over because you're garbage to them. We have to work harder than we ever worked.And we're not working hard enough yet.We're not.We have to make the most noise we ever made.We turn out, we win.

And then those who didn't vote in either, that's where Trump has his biggest advantage over Harris.Are they actually going to vote this time around?Huge question mark.
This is a problem if we don't turn out.We lose if we don't turn out.That's what that says.We win if we turn out.It's that simple. It's not about persuasion.It's not about winning over suburban wine moms.It's not about any of that.It's about turnout.

Then I went to a trick-or-treat event, wore the hat, six more people came up to me, two had voted, and four agreed to vote early, wear the hat, it works. That's Laura, that you're an American patriot.If you guys have a hat, you guys got to go do it.
It doesn't matter what state you're in, red state, blue state.You have to go find voters right now.This is it.I will stop bugging you guys as soon as polls close on Tuesday.Then a whole nother series of fights will happen.
Certification, all that, we're not going to get into that right now.Certification is a whole nother fight.I'm not worried about that.That's going to take some focus energy.That's a whole different ballgame.

Charlie, I'm not a low propensity voter, but a senior citizen.I voted early, so if I got sick or my wife got sick or I had to babysit my grandkids on election day, my vote is banked.I took my sister early vote after that.Keep up the good work.

I've noticed several people that I know who are Christians say they will not vote because they believe God will steer our country in the right direction.So apparently they want God to do their job.Okay, well, those people are morons.
It's like saying, oh, I'm not going to eat dinner tonight because God's going to feed it and put it in my mouth.Or I'm not going to drive my car because God will drive my car.That is a moronic theological view.It is not scriptural.
It's not theological. Oh, so God doesn't actually want you to ever do anything right, moral, just, or pure, or good?He just wants you to kind of sit around, veg out, and for things to come to you?At that point, why even shower?Use the restroom.
Why even get dressed?I mean, God'll do it for me. Not voting is a betrayal to the veterans and those who died for you.It takes five seconds.Find a new voter.Empty out your phone.This is it, everybody.This is the final push.We have the render date.
