We have a little different podcast episode this week! I wanted to start a case study series that dives deep into different facets of the wellness industry, especially how wellness intersects with business/marketing/psychology. Emily Mariko is a content creator on TikTok and IG that shares no-voiceover vlog style content of her life, mainly cooking focused. She rose to fame and grew to 1M+ followers due to the virility of her salmon rice bowl recipe. I've been a fan of hers for a long time and she is definitely my comfort creator. Her comment section is always wild with everyone and their mother judging her recipes. Obviously, everyone is entitled to their own opinion. It is definitely interesting to break down the types of comments she gets and how they directly connect with lack of food education, accessibility, and financial inequality. Let me know who what/who I should discuss next month!
