Hey friends, welcome to the Organize an Efficient Mama podcast.I'm Helena Manu, wife, mom of two, and the founder of HMV Solutions, a virtual assistant company that supports women-owned small businesses with their administrative services.

Are you constantly juggling work, family, and everything in between, but still feeling like something's always slipping through the cracks?Trust me, I've been there.
It wasn't until I learned how to create effective systems for both my personal life and business that I finally started to feel in control again. That's why I started this podcast.
Every other week, you'll learn practical tips and strategies to help you organize your life, manage your time, and run your business and personal life smoothly.Ready to get started?Let's get into it.
Hey friends, welcome to the very first episode of the Organize an Efficient Mama podcast. For this first episode, I want to introduce myself, share a little bit about my journey as a mom, working a corporate job, and also running a business.
And I want to share with you all my why behind this podcast. So let me start by telling you a bit about who I am.I'm a wife and mom of two wonderful boys, ages four and two, working a nine to five job, all while running a business.
I started my business, HMV Solutions, back in July of 2021.Family is a huge part of my life, and we're also very involved in church as well.
Fun fact, I actually serve as a Sunday school teacher in the children's ministry, which is a role that allows me to contribute my time and skills to a cause that's also very deeply meaningful to me.
But let's rewind a little bit so I can tell you how I got here. So a few years ago, I was feeling the weight of the corporate world bearing down on my shoulders. And I'm sure many of you can relate.
The long hours, the meetings that seemed to go on forever, and the constant feeling that there has to be more out there.I knew I needed a change.I desired a change.
I needed something more fulfilling, something that allowed me to balance my work, my family, and my personal goals. And that's when I took a step back and realized that I had a gift.
Something I had been doing all along, but hadn't thought to monetize it.Administration and organization.Starting my business allowed me to have a creative outlet to be free to explore my passions and my talents.
I've always had a knack for staying organized and keeping things on track. It's just who I am at heart. I knew I could help others do the same.So with my husband's encouragement, I decided to take a leap of faith.
I went ahead and enrolled in a virtual assistant course.Shout out to my business coach and mentor Saba with the InDemand VA. in order to fine tune my skills, and that's how HMV Solutions was born.
HMV Solutions stands for Helena Manu Virtual Solutions, but it also stands for the idea of helping, managing, and visualizing solutions from our clients.
I not only support my clients with their administrative needs, also become their thought partner and immerse myself in their business to see where systems can be created or improved in order to improve efficiencies and remove redundancies.
Now, HMB Solutions is helping busy professionals, especially women, reclaim their time through smart, efficient organization systems.
Whether you're running a business, managing a household, or both, like I'm doing, having functioning systems in place is key.
That's something I'm really passionate about, and that's why I wanted to create this podcast to share my journey, the tools and systems that I use to help me balance all the different roles I have in life, and I wanna show you how you can do it too.
So how do I manage it all? Honestly, it comes down to organization and using the right systems. And I want to share those systems with you because I know how overwhelming it can feel to juggle a 9-5 family and a business.
One of the first things that I did was set up systems that work seamlessly across my personal and professional life. For example, I live by my Gmail calendar. I've created calendars for my personal life, business, and a shared calendar for my family.
My husband and I have shared calendars that keep us in sync where we're able to track things like school events, doctor's appointments, and even family activities like game nights or, you know, something to do outside.
Each of these calendars is color-coded, of course, and it helps me instantly know who's doing what and when. With this system, I'm never caught off guard by a forgotten appointment or a meeting that suddenly overlaps with another event.
In addition to my calendars, I use a task management tool called Asana for my business. So this platform helps me keep track of my client projects, deadlines, and workflows for my business. It's like having a personal assistant at my fingertips.
It helps me to stay on top of things without getting overwhelmed. Digital organization doesn't just make me more efficient in my business. It helps me show up as a better wife, mama, and entrepreneur because I have a clear view of my time.
And that's what I want to help you achieve through this podcast.A balanced life where you feel in control and not overwhelmed. I created this podcast because I know how hard it is to try and do it all.
Women, mamas especially, are often expected to wear so many hats and perform in all areas of life seamlessly. But here's the truth. It's okay to need help, and it's okay to not have it all together. This podcast is here to give you that help.
I wanted to create a space where women like me, busy, multitasking go-getters, can come for advice, encouragement, and real strategies to stay organized in both their personal and professional lives. So who is this podcast for?
It's for you, if you're juggling multiple roles, maybe working a nine-to-five, running a side hustle or a business, raising a family, and you're trying to make it all work.
It's for the mom who feels overwhelmed by the never-ending to-do lists, or the entrepreneur trying to figure out how to balance client work with personal commitments.
This podcast is for anyone who feels like they're constantly running out of time, trying to catch up, or just needs a little support, a little structure, and a lot of grace.
I'll be sharing tips, tricks, and strategies that have helped me manage my busy life. We'll talk about digital tools and systems you can implement right away to make your life easier.
We'll also dive into some real-life stories and guest interviews with other women who are managing similar roles. You'll get practical advice that you can apply to your daily routine to help you stay organized, productive, and in control.
I really want this to be an interactive space and not just me talking at you, but rather talking to you like a conversation with an old friend.
I'll be answering questions, discussing your challenges, and offering solutions that fit your unique situation. If you're ready to start organizing your life right now, don't wait.Reach out to me if you need help in a hurry.
